I did get a quick response from Steve on the Soluxra part:

For obvious reasons, we cannot comment publicly on what Soluxra has or purports to have. Absent specific temperature claims, the term CMOS process compatible does not mean much in that there is a wide swing in the temperature requirements that differ manufacturer to manufacturer and device to device. It is curious that they do not make any specific temperature claims. Nor do they make any claims to durability. We don't believe that they have ever demonstrated a material that could realistically be commercialized. Also, picometers per volt numbers do not have anything to do with data rates. they are two different things.
