Sean doesn't think minority stockholders need to know anything. Until the annual meeting when he was trying to attract new capital, that is. Then he greeted me at the door with the corporate ledger under his arm.
Apparently European customs are different.
Dino
I hope so.
The company has been extraordinarily quiet. They've stopped reporting for more than a year.

From the 8/19 PR, "Mexus Gold US Reaches Agreement to Begin Drilling Its Julio/Santa Elena Property; San Felix Update"
San Felix Sale Update
Mexus recently received an update from Benjamin Lagarda. Mr. Lagarda assures Mexus that the project is going as planned and 2015 will be a good year for them and Mexus. CEO Thompson added, "I'm comfortable with what Mr. Lagarda has done to date and look forward to seeing their project progress."

Yes, but so's the GM. Jason must have fired him on the spot. The COO is filling in until the new guy shows up.
Dino
Hard to tell for sure, NJ. Recent tests - cysto, biopsies, FISH and CAT scan with contrast - all turn out negative for ca. However, an ultra-sensitive new test by Oncoblot indicates presence. The urologist thinks that test may be too sensitive?!? Since all of those tests used to be positive (indicate presence of cancer) I think I'm gradually winning the battle. At least, I like to think so.
I'll repeat the Oncoblot test in a year and see what it turns up. I have to laugh at my insurance company. They won't cover the $850 cost at all, but they strongly recommend a visual test that costs at least ten times as much.
I've stockpiled about a year's supply, so I'm still taking Anatabloc as usual.
Dino
I use a service called Tradestops that sends me an email when my trailing stop has been breached. No market maker is aware of either the breach or my decision to sell the next day. I can set intra-day stops, but I prefer using ghe closing price.
Trailing stops are (usually) a good idea, but telling your broker about them is not.
Dino
And thank you, vizioman.
(Not only can I not send private messages, but IH rejects my VPN IP. I have to use a different computer to post on this service.)
Dino
The old board is still active. They're even discussing ZEON there. I don't think they realize that this board exists.
Dino
According to your theory, I shouldn't listen to the studies that taking 81mg aspirin daily will help prevent heart attacks, Vitamin C and Zinc will help your body recover from a cold, eat carrots to help my eyesight, etc.
I probably should ignore the commercials for Crestor, Abilify, etc., urging me to ask my doctor if I can take them.
Iassume from your remarks that you are a proponent of socialized medicine in which one size (protocol) fits all...by definition.
Dino
Will the receipt of a refund of taxes assessed erroneously be good enough? That should provide the funds necessary to finish moving and setting up the placer.
Dino
Although it is a natural protective response of the human body, the FDA has decided that inflammation is, in and of itself, a disease, and that statements about the ability of a supplements to treat inflammation are “implied disease claims.”
Looks like we'll have to ban ice, then.
Dino
The company policy is 1/3 taxes, 1/3 exploration & expansion and 1/3 dividends. They earned 14 cents last quarter. Divide that by 3 and you get about 4.5 cents. That works out to 1.5 cents per month. A 2 cent per month dividend would be almost half of the earnings - too much.
Dino
The website also doesn't recognize my login anymore.
I just called and was told that the site is "down" and new stock is expected in 4 days.
I asked if there's something going on that I should know about and she said no. They are just out of stock on everything.
Curiouser and curiouser.
Dino
The earnings they posted would justify raising the dividend to $0.015/month. A possible 50% increase may have stirred up some interest.
Dino
What is going to be interesting is that, although Johnny is immune from criminal charges, he is making himself vulnerable to lots of civil suits. He has admitted in open court his intentions. In that they have harmed RCPI, he is liable for big-time damages. I think the ambulance chasers are just waiting for him to finish hanging himself.
Dino
Why would I want to invest in a company whose management is that stupid? If it makes excellent business sense to move offshore, then the company should do so. Companies should be loyal and support their stockholders, not a government.
Ask Mark Cuban if he donates money to the US Treasury. For that matter, ask him if his accountants/advisers work to reduce his tax liability. If they do, he's just a hypocrite.
I think Judge Learned Hand's ruling still holds.
"Over and over again courts have said that there is nothing sinister in so arranging one's affairs as to keep taxes as low as possible. Everybody does so, rich or poor; and all do right, for nobody owes any public duty to pay more than the law demands: taxes are enforced exactions, not voluntary contributions. To demand more in the name of morals is mere cant."
Commissioner v. Newman, 159 F2d 848 (1947)
However, the point is moot. The reason for moving to England would be to reduce the interference of the FDA and other agencies, not taxes.
Dino
Ask Javert. Maybe he can explain it.
Dino
I got a very nice phone call from Elaine at Rock Creek's HQ last night. She apologized for the screw up and wanted to make sure that I had received a refund back on my credit card. She was also checking every other order to Virginia residents to make sure that they were corrected, if necessary. Apparently the new tax computation software didn't replace the VA sales tax, it just added the new stuff. She got the fun job of rechecking what the software vendor did. Betcha they don't use that vendor again.
Dino
Look carefully at your invoice if you buy directly from the company. In addition to charging me the correct sales tax, but calling it a tax for the town I live in, they also charged me an extra 6%. That tax they called Virginia state sales tax; however, the sales tax in Virginia is 5.3%.
Customer Care (800) 586-0785 is the number to call and complain.

More likely because Hochschild stopped dumping.

Gold going up $22.90 and silver $.46 isn't hurting either.

I think Tuesday is the target date.

I think the significant part is
'President Paul Thompson stated "It's important for our shareholders to understand that this was a change to a previously issued permit. We can now aggressively move forward with our plan to move and restart the placer which includes a previously stated increase in production." '
That implies a follow-up PR in a few days telling us that the placer has been moved and is in operation. That will increase the odds of a reasonable JV deal.
Dino
I think it means that he doesn't want to go to Florida. Guys with teenaged kids sometimes do things like that.
Dino
That explains why it was up this morning. I looked for news, but I must have been too early. I wonder if that's why GORO turned up also.
Dino
Yeah. That's what Scottrade is supposed to do also. They promised to "look into it." I think if I had insisted, they'd have let me execute the trade anyway, but by the time they figured out what happened the market had closed.
Dino
Here's an article on weight loss using cocoa.
http://www.progressivehealth.com/using-cocoa-for-weight-loss.htm
The relevant section is:
"The 3 cocoa extracts are Lavado, regular and Dutch-processed cocoa extracts.
Of the three cocoa variants, Lavado cocoa undergoes the least processing. To prepare Lavado cocoa, the beans are washed and not fermented. Therefore, it has the highest concentration of polyphenols and flavanols.
On the other hand, Dutch-processed cocoa has the lowest concentration of these flavonoids. During preparation, it undergoes alkalization which degrades some of the polyphenols in the cocoa beans.
In this study, Lavado cocoa extract was the most powerful inhibitor of the 3 enzymes and Dutch-processed cocoa was the least inhibitor. The study showed that cocoa extracts can inhibit the selected digestive enzymes in vitro, and by this means may also contribute to weight loss."
I think that means that the best kind - Lavado -is also the cheap stuff. i.e., Nestles, Hershey's, etc.
Dino
Interesting. My GORO dividends showed up at Scottrade on the 20th. Of course, they didn't tell me about them until the 23rd. They did, however, allow me to spend them, so my attempted trade yesterday was with 'unsettled funds".
Scottrade could explain how, but not why that happened.
Dino
That's what I've been doing, too. I started in 2010 and buy a little whenever I have some extra cash. My last purchase was on Monday; my next will probably be on the 23rd when I get my penny-per-share from GORO.
At this point, I think my investment (and I think of it that way) is relatively safe. Proven value, perhaps not to SEC standards, but sufficient for my mind and management with both reasonable goals and the experience and demonstrated talent to reach them.
Dino
I agree with everything you said except one. I fully expect to get rich quick with Mexus. In fact, I think it will take less than half the usual time.
Five years is quick for a gold mine.
Dino
Lots of hope. Negotiations still going on, should be some movement - with the company, not necessarily with the stock price - soon.
Dino
I agree with you. I think you left out Sangamo and Oncosec. Cox's replacement can't imagine why Oncosec is a good investment. It's only up 296% since I bought in. I wonder if I should stop reading his stuff.
Dino
Lode,
Here's the latest:
That's based on reality. In the late 50's my father had a row of 13 scripts. The first one was phenobarbital to lower his blood pressure. The next one was a stimulant to keep him awake. The third one counteracted some side effect of the 2nd one, etc. He made up a time table for when he should take each one.
A few years later, they invented the beta blocker.
Dino
I beg to differ. A real test for Crohn's should take years. Both Crohn's and colitis are intermittent. Two of my grandchildren are afflicted, and my mother died of it (colitis), so I have some basis for my argument.
My granddaughter has colitis which seems to be under control using Anatabloc for almost two years. Yet, about a month ago, when under stress, she had a flare-up. My grandson who had both colitis (until his colon was removed) and Crohn's has similar experience. He commented to me the other day that he's been doing much better since I finally convinced him to start taking Anatabloc, but he still had a flare-up a couple of weeks ago.
So. The question is, "How do you define success?" Since my granddaughter might go for months with no problems before taking any medications, how do you know your new drug is doing anything? In addition, a bad choice of food coupled with a stressful situation might cause a flare-up months or even years into the trial.
My experience tells me that it definitely helps, but I think quantifying the level would be very difficult. I don't think you could ever claim a cure. Using statistics, you could show improvement, but I can use statistics to prove that children with larger feet do better on IQ tests too.
Dino
My guess is that you won't see much until 3rd quarter. It will take some time to tune the system, even the mill. The MC won't have its first pour for at least a month after it's turned on, and then will also need tuning.
My expectations are for some production during the next 3 months but real production this fall. Of course, this is a gold mine and Murphy practically lives there.
Dino
I just noticed that Scottrade shows the opening trade at $0.094 and volume of 2222. That's interesting, since they executed my 10,000 share trade at $0.08. Of course, the volume was still 0.
And some folks think that Paul didn't tell us what was going on.
Dino
It trades, sort of, on the grey market under the symbol FPVTF. I bought 10,000 shares this morning and it still showed no bid, asked, or VOLUME for at least until after 1:00. If you want to know what it's really doing, look under SPF.V. That board showed my trade 20 minutes later on finance.yahoo.com. Then do the CAD/USD conversion.
Dino
They have a year to raise $4 million; they're now sitting on a gold mine and you're wondering how they're going to raise the cash? I think it's called 'heap leach'. All they need to do is fire up the loader and buy some cyanide. Without Ken stealing the product, FPV should be able to net that easily.
Dino
Just joined the fun. I figure if Jason Reid likes them, they can't be too bad. Based on the way they built GORO, this might actually be in limited production by year-end.
