Thanks, JAB. These solid updates are what make the wait tolerable! Much appreciated.
That's a gold medal post for those of us biting our nails here.
Thank you.
I have a feeling when eventually Delfin is up and running, they'll be teaching the whole industry new tricks. It's going to be very interesting to watch.
Frog in boiling water syndrome, can't feel it anymore.
Going off topic with you for a minute, when Geoffrey Hinton, "godfather of AI" received the 2024 Nobel prize in physics, he warned first that it's incredibly important that we watch out who gets to control AI's development.
He warned 2nd that some day AI might control us. That got more attention, but shouldn't we be, as he said, first be incredibly careful about who gets to control it's development. Concern #2 is almost a by-product of the first.
Case in point, your experience with Grok and X - considering the ethics of who owns both ~
On a smaller scale, I too am sorry that the admins don't plan to suspend whatever hater is bugging TGLO. But IHub's ignore feature is great. In 2 steps - #1) go to the hater's profile and choose "ignore." Then also go into your own account, and at "settings," choose "hide."
Silence is bliss.
I so appreciate what the rest of you post.
Being here is amazing.
Well that is definitely good food for thought.
On a different thought - a friend has been arguing with me from the start (for me, a mere 4 years ago...) that Delfin has an Achilles heel with US perception because it has so much foreign ownership.
That gives me a thought about RM (possibly old hat to this group?)
We've talked a lot about Delfin needing to go public, for funds.
I wonder if they may want to go public to allow more US investors, to address that Achilles heel.
If indeed there is one (?)
Thanks Chen ~ also for the Gemini read
NP, am I reading your comments right that (especially after the KIND input) it looks like we're pretty much just hanging on this EPA air permit tug of war?
Henhouse, thanks for your comment. "Lots of moving parts;" "gonna be a long ride" AND Delfin & DM "are ... competent... staff of well-seasoned (F)LNG executives on board". Agreed.
When you envisage this long ride~ are you seeing a wait 'til November/Jan? Or pushing as year? while Delfin regroups. Or even longer, in case takes years to morph into whatever's now needed - for MARAD's denial, but also (scary territory) if there's big consequences because the delay?
Or is it just to impossible to say.
That Podesta / Qatar connection needs some really extensive exposure. Anyone aware if there's been any follow-up to that Forbes article?
After a mere 18 months studying this company, I'm not a long-timer by TGLO standards! but it's been an amazing on-the-job learning opportunity, thanks to this great board. I agree, Dino, it's so helpful to have the S.A.S. onboard ~ and that goes for you as well! Thank you all
V310 & rsande ~
And I'm with you on the position building. It would be a bummer to catch the pass only to go home with a Matchbox Toyota...
And what a pass...
May we all do well 🏈
In late August, '23, there was discussion here on reverse splits. My huge thanks, as always, for this board's help sharing! For me, NorthPeak22's post summed it up well,, so I dug that up/replied to it here.
If I've read correctly, in early Nov, '23, SEC approved a NASDAQ rule allowing companies to give only 2 days' notice, down from 15 😳. Yikes.
cooleypubco.com/2023/11/06/sec-approves-nasdaq-rule-reverse-splits/
That same article also notes a very steep increase in the # of companies doing r/s in '22/'23.
I'm getting a little twitchy on the subject now that we're so close to action. Thinking I should at least have a contingency plan?
Wondering what you all think about that now.
And how best to know instantly, IF...
I still feel like a newbie after a mere year & a half here, so big thanks! y'all are the best
On the Delfin website's home page, there's 3 pop-ups, each highlighting one of Delfin's strengths.
One emphasizes the autonomy available for each FLNG:
"The Delfin LNG project; 4x3.5 mtpa
"Low FID thresholds with each FLNG vessel having its own commercial and financial structure."
I'm wondering about ""Low FID thresholds with each..." ThresholdS ~ plural ~
Are they talking about subsequent FIDs, with subsequent FLNGS which may be contracted later ~ this talk of separate FIDS for each boat, has nothing to do with the startup, multiple FID that we're awaiting?
Thank you
So can one now say correctly, that Delfin MAY FID any day now, but MUST FID before June 1?
And would you say that it must FID sufficiently ahead of June 1 to qualify as being under construction?
Thank you!
I watched that dip to .16, but I thought the ask was still around 20. I thought (?) it will only certainly be filled if your offer is at/over the ask. But I 'm a bit new to this - maybe someone else can correct me?
* B * I * N * G * O * ! *
Thank you, NP. Patiently ( 😂 ) praying for RM.
Thank you kindly! Your reply fully answers the question & I appreciate it.
NorthPeak, I have to thank you. As a girl just cutting her teeth on this penny stock, your steadfast DD is a rock. And I learn volumes from Dino. Bunch of awesome folks here. Best to all, and thanks.
The jack-up type systems seem likely to risk more push back from environmentalist groups than FLNGs. Might get away with it in Mexico, but I. wonder if it would fly here. Interesting article. Thank you.
Thanks Señor! Makes far more sense - my misunderstanding.
Remainder of context emphasized that Delfin's clear goal is to NOT repeat any of TELL's false starts.
Plus chat about July OR Oct seeming possible -
I believe that senor c mentioned a split, approx June 16 of '23.
His post contained "Delfin just voted to split from 800m to 1.6b."
I believe that the discussion just then was in reference to needing more stocks, to have more common shareholders, to meet the requisite (500?)
- - if that rings true - -
Thank you NorthPeak! I'm just sitting on the side content with my stash, but grateful to hear what wiser & more experienced minds see. Much appreciated.
I wonder if I'm alone in finding Pastoor and the others annoyingly capable at weaving trends and investors together in creative financing. Does anyone else wonder if the TradeWinds article points to their having the means to comfortably remain private? I would absolutely love to be wrong.
(From WP's discussion, of subsidiary FLNG companies model)
“Financing an infrastructure project like this in the US is more favourable than financing an upstream project....”
Pastoor said this gives the company a great deal of flexibility on how to handle the financing, structure and the way the company sells the LNG from the unit.
“The market is good and there is a lot of interest from a subset of investors who firmly believe in a long-term strong LNG market,” Pastoor said. “They seek commodity exposure. They believe in the upside of the market.”
Pastoor said the investor interest in LNG changed after Russia invaded Ukraine last year.
“We experienced specific interest because the cheque size is less,” he said, explaining that compared with an onshore project that may want to take a FID on a 15-mtpa project, Delfin can do this after securing just 2.5 mtpa in offtake agreements.
“That is of interest to investors,” he said. “There are fewer partners around the table. There are less offtakers, lenders and parties that we need to bring for the equity. It is much more easy to structure a deal.”
Pastoor said Delfin has had interest from companies that want to take stakes in the FLNG units.
“We have had very good discussions with a number of infrastructure parties,” he said.
“We are talking to a number of strategics who want to participate in Delfin Midstream. We see strong interest from producers in the US who seek opportunities to develop their gas assets and seeking exposure to international gas markets.”
I thought the same - is there some dynamic in the recent news which I may have overlooked, that indicates against r/m?

Not new - Poten still saying FID 2ndQ
Me too. Felt like I was putting sprinkles on my ice cream. GLTA
Nola boobu - 20 years is a long time! All hope for a successful ending, Glta
Thank you! TGLO is quite the interesting learning curve.... ![]()
Yes, the S&P article re-tweeted by a SergioChapa.
No point; I lack the experience to offer any analysis. Just wondering if that piece was from 2018, or current.
Wasn't the date on that re-tweeted article Jan.11, 2018
Thank you!
Could the Nov. 11 FERC extension be contributing to the delay, or is that too secondary? - just a newbie
"FERC grants extension of timeC-3,Delfin LNG LLC,Docket No. CP15-490-003. The order grants Delfin’s request for a one-year extension of time, until September 28, 2023,to construct and place into operation onshore metering, compression, and piping facilities to serve a non-jurisdictional deepwater liquefied natural gas export terminal, based on a finding that Delfin has shown good cause for the extension."
