Bribes will do wonders?........He's put that in many a politicians pockets over the years buying his way so he can continue with his corrupt activities.
People like him will never give to help anyone or anything other than himself. He's got his nose(money) into everything that he hopes will benefit him and his ideologies.
Well said!!
The next thing that will change the Middle East in a big way will be when Mubarak of Egypt dies. If the Muslim Brotherhood gains control they have close ties with Iran, the Ha mas, and Al Qaeda. It would be a nightmare for Israel.
In face of all thats taken place against Israel it never stops them from creating things people can benefit from.

If 911 would have happened then every American would be fighting mad, and wanting to get their hands on Bin Laden, and signing up for Afghanistan. Today its living in the fear for what might happen next, and color codes for protection, and terrorist alerts.
Who says crime doesn't pay?........
Looking forward to retirement, but worry about how it will all work out?. Put your mind to rest. All we need to do is to cook up a scheme like this, the bigger the better, and its an all expense paid at Hotel California. Even if gas prices shoot through the roof chauffeured transportation is provided at least for now. The possibility of paid lease vehicles appears to be the only thing lacking.

Work out facilities the local town envies. Buffet style cafeteria. TV, ice cream, popcorn, tennis anyone?. Comfortable and private sleeping accommodations with unlocked type dorm rooms. If this is punishment where can we go to apply?. He also gets 400 paid phone minutes a month, and its all on the taxpayer. Its a retirement village with the best in medical care and not one penny of out of pocket expenses. The only perk thats lacking is a car. This will probably be next with an all expense paid credit card for gas, and reserve parking.
The government inevitably takes care of their boys who commit the most erroneous news worthy criminal acts for their entertainment, and at everyone else's expense.
This is how the justice system works for the rich. It doesn't take a whole lot for anyone who isn't, and chooses to break the law that involves theft to get hard time.

Are you high?. You would be better off buying a couple lottery tickets everyday. You will increase your odds by millions instead of billions. You need to put that bong down, and let the smoke clear so you can see more clearly. If you can't you need to get into some rehab facility that can help bring you back to reality.
Ever hear of White Collar Crime?. This guy is doing it in an Armani suit!.
COMMENTARY ALERT – You might be interested in a Washington Post blog this afternoon about the Securities and Exchange Commission, or the SEC. My concern is that the SEC seems to be pursuing the classic, flawed tactic of most bureaucracies, “ignore the message and kill the messenger” when concerns about mismanagement are raised. Instead, SEC higher-ups need to listen to different points of view from SEC employees in order to avoid the kinds of mistakes the SEC has made in recent years. The promise of protection for SEC whistleblowers looks like it is being undercut by the reality of retaliation. You can read the letter I sent to the SEC chairman by clicking here. – Chuck Grassley
Grassley calls SEC response on alleged retaliation 'extremely disturbing'
A senior Senate Republican is calling into question the Securities and Exchange Commission's response to allegations that top officials in the Fort Worth office retaliated against employees who raised concerns about an agency examination program.
Sen. Charles Grassley (Iowa), the ranking Republican on the Senate Finance Committee, has asked for a briefing from top SEC officials about the treatment of two employees in the Fort Worth office. The senator wanted to know why that although the inspector general recommended the SEC take disciplinary action against the Fort Worth officials none had been taken.
In a letter to SEC Chairman Mary Schapiro, Grassley wrote: "These facts and circumstances are extremely disturbing and paint a picture of a culture at the SEC, which endorses retaliation against employees who attempt to improve operations by reporting mismanagement to headquarter."
The letter follows a pair of reports by the SEC inspector general and an article in The Washington Post about the problems at the Fort Worth office.
The Post article cites an SEC inspector general's report that concluded that two SEC employees, Julie Preuitt and Joel Sauer, faced "inappropriate" sanctions from their bosses in Fort Worth when they raised concerns about a new review process for financial firms.
Preuitt, who had warned presciently about a potential scam at R. Allen Stanford's Houston-based business, told superiors she was concerned that the office was more interested in boosting statistics about the number of firms the office examines rather than actually uncovering fraud.
According to inspector general reports and interviews, Preuitt was also essentially demoted after vocalizing her complaints.
Later, the program she opposed was suspended in favor of programs to verify assets claimed by investment companies in the wake of the large number of Ponzi schemes disclosed in the past two years.
Grassley tied to the agency's actions in Fort Worth to its broader desire to attract whistleblowers, who can provide regulators with inside information on wrongdoing.
"You have previously assured me that in leading the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC/Commission), you intend to value whistleblowers and ensure that they are able to make protected disclosures in order to help managers improve operations at the Commission," Grassley said. "However, it appears that this commitment to valuing dissent within the Commission is not being fully implemented."
Grassley asked the SEC to explain why it had not disciplined the Fort Worth managers. The SEC responded:
[P]rior to imposing discipline, the senior-level Ft. Worth managers had solicited advice . . . from other Commission officials responsible for disciplinary actions. It has not been alleged, nor is there any reason to believe, any of the advising parties had reason to retaliate against the two employees. Because the actions were deemed appropriate and senior-level Ft. Worth managers relied on the guidance that was provided, management determined their actions were not retaliatory.
Grassley was not pleased with this response.
"The implication ... is that a retaliatory personnel action can be laundered of its retaliatory intent by simply consulting with others who had no retaliatory intent and obtaining their concurrence," he wrote. "Such a policy would make a mockery of whistleblower protections throughout government."

Its mans responsibility to respect and care for the animals on our planet. Our Creator gave us this wondrous gift, and most us are either awe struck by their antics, their beauty, grace, power, or the fragility we see. It may be a Blue Whale, a Peregrine Falcon, Gorilla, Hummingbird, or the face of a baby Orangutan that brings a smile to our faces or makes us laugh. Its hard to imagine our planet without them. Several of these creatures among the many are under pressure from loss of habit, and poaching.
I've watched some of the episodes of Whale wars on Animal Planet, and it was neat to learn that Bob Barker is involved. Because of him they now have a second ship, but its obvious that even this is not enough. What they really need is a fleet. 6 or 7 or more to out number those Japenese vessels. The Japanese factory ship named Research is nothing more than a cover up for what they do. Itd rightful name should be Whale Meat Processing Plant.
Bill Gates, Buffet, and Larry Ellis, Forbes could make a difference, and they wouldn't even feel the pinch. People with money could help to combat this. Where are the billionaires when their needed?........they surely know of this. When if ever will any of them step up to the plate?
Bob Barker is quite a person, and a big heart, who doesn't love the guy?. He also has helped complete a facility to help soldiers who were brain injured in Iraq. I hope he receives many blessing for long and healthy life.
Your probably right, and make some valid points. If people hunt for those reasons they don't do it for the enjoyment of the hunt they just enjoy the meat, and in turn may be helping with over population if its a problem in their area. Unlike poaching.
Yeah some hunting may be necessary, and helps many to survive during the lean months when others would starve. A horrible way for an animal to have to suffer an die. Poaching is killing off the exotic wild life and your right its all about money.
Its the trophy hunters that need to get a taste for what they call sport, wonder how they would like it if someone with a gun was firing at them from a blind when they were out hunting. Better yet put them in a wilderness area without a gun and expose them to hunters who are looking for people trophies and their heads to be mounted on their wall.
Most of us don't think about our steaks, chicken, etc and that entire process when we sit down to eat.
I saw a film a while back where horses were getting sold for meat then taken to Mexico to be slaughtered. Some were race horses who had lost their speed. I always thought they were led out to pasture and retired. Its sickening how they are treated, and then brutually killed. It should be illegal. Its the owners who are guilty of this that should be sold. The people involved in filming this was pushing for legislation that would stop horses getting sold for meat.
I agree. Not only their wilderness but the creatures we would have never seen if not for Natgeo. Incredible beautiful animals, and even though the climate is so harsh, as well as the terrain it still isn't enough to stop the poaching. The animals of our planet sure have a hard go of it. They struggle to survive, and the fortunate ones who make it have man to contend with. Most of the ones we saw are on the brink of extinction, and even this isn't enough to stop their illegal killings.
We need Sheriffs like him throughout the country.

The Bottled Nose Dolphins befriends man. They're so entrusting into believing that man will not purposely harm them, and seeing this, and acknowledging their whaling activities makes me wonder if we did the right thing in not sinking their island in WW2?.
Your right its all evil!. I'm surprised that our people aren't unrelenting in vocalizing this through the media?.
One way, but not the only way to fight back is to not purchase anything associated with their country till it ends. I know I won't, and I care less where its manufactured. I may never again.
What really steamed me is when I heard their reasoning behind what they do?. Their claim is that Dolphins are eating to much of """their fish""". Their fish mind you. In reality they are fishing out what they are dependent on to survive. Its a stupid argument. The ocean after all is their home. Look at mans encroachment on land as well as the sea, and the effect its had on every creature in existence. Its been ongoing for years and years.
The arrogance of any man to kill a whale is something I, and most of us find hard to deal with. The Eskimos don't kill a whale for profit. They have little impact on the whale numbers, but even they would survive without whale meat. Its hard to imagine that anyone would want to eat this meat, they aren't fish.
Its to bad that they don't have the kind of defense that would kill a man to eat them.
The animals of our world sure do have a hard go of it. If it weren't for people who fight for their survival many more may now be extinct. Man is suppose to oversee and care for these creatures but man is driving them out of existence.
Something else the Japanese are guilty of is the killing of Sharks for their fins.............What a heartless bunch, and my hope is that their is retribution for all the evil they do. Its murder. They remove their fins for their soup, and then push the Shark back into the water where it sinks and drowns.
I served in the military, and hate hunting. There's no need. Who has to hunt in this country to eat?......
They call it sport. There's nothing sporting about it. I would rather see these sport hunters hunt each other, it would at least be fair. If they would turn it into a reality show I'll watch it every week to help with the ratings.
I saw this on Natgeo a few nights ago. Perhaps many of you were aware of this happening, I didn't. I'm aware of the whale killing, but I didn't know this was also occurring. Its a sad world we're living in. The Japanese are a lesser people for committing these kind of atrocities. The government of Japan sponsors this. The countries who are on Whaling Commission that support this killing receive money from the Japanese government for voting in their favor. The Whaling Commission is a farce.

http://www.savejapandolphins.org/
What I took away from watching this is the Japanese have the intent to kill every large whale in existence. They compare killing one is no different than killing a cow with no more intelligence. The Blue Whale is the largest creature in the history of our planet, but are losing the battle against this kind of onslaught.
The list of animals that are on the endangered species list is rather long. If its not Gorillas its the Snow Leopard, or Black rhino, or Cheetah. Its worldwide problem.
Once these creatures are gone its forever. Zoo's can help but how many can they really house to prevent it?. Some creatures can't nor shouldn't live in captivity.
Once they go mankind is probably not to far behind.

Sotomayor believes that when determining what a crime is, and the penalty for it, a judge should take into consideration the race and cultural background of the offender
Like the Reginald Denny case?. The defendants were caught on video bashing the guys brains in. The case was dismissed in part on the grounds that they were just caught up in the melee of the LA riots.
The Black Panthers among other gangs played a vital role in taking Chicago over the last 40 years. It had been a very diverse city, but today its population of 3 million is made up of primarily black, and Hispanics. It once had thriving healthy, safe communities till it was subjected to forced integration, and forced busing and this opened the doors to all-white communities, and their schools, and this changed the face of Chicago forever, and not for the better. This subjected communities to black gangs, and violence that never existed in their own communities.
There were pockets of Chicago that were always bad, and unsafe, but when this developed it overwhelmed the city, and its many communities, and schools even its suburbs.
The question begs?, is the city better now that the blacks own it?. Is this what they were striving for?........for that matter are any of our cities better, for that matter our country?. It makes no sense, so whats the message?
We hear more often than not that its all one sided, all the whites are racist, and this circumvents their violent behavior. Really?.....This black panther leader speaks for many blacks, and you don't have to be anything more than just white for them to hate you..........
The blacks who are normal, and who would like to be nothing more than not to be associated with these kind of black movements, and their causes can't escape it just because their black can't escape it anymore than the whites. It feeds racial tension against the whites.
The Panthers are nothing more than a violent gang, and would like the more than to take over this country, and its streets, like the many gangs who follow this kind of mentality, and we don't have to look very far today to know this kind of encroachment is not very far away.
The real war is not abroad its right here in our own backyards.
Chicago Obama's home town is known today as the murder city, gang and drug infested throughout.

Not SS or its idea. The real schemes have been pulled on the American people who wanted to build on a country of honor following WW2. We sure began missing that mark starting with the election of JFK, and ever since.
We need change alright. Its not the 60's anymore. If the right changes aren't made who knows where this road will eventually lead?
The American debt is made up of what the government owes the American people. Remember the War bonds, US savings bonds?.........if the American people were to cash in all their bonds tommorrow the government couldn't pay up.
Whatever the problem in government its, is never them nor their policies, nor their perks, raises, salaries, or pensions, unlike any other than those with publicly traded companies its the American people at large, except for that small percentage of billionaires, and small trillionaires, and the multi-millionaires, many who make up the Wall Street crowd who they cater to who they serve with diligence.
The Bush family as well as Cheney got rich from oil, among their many other corrupted ventures. The Bush family and the Saudi shieks are tight, like they were with the Bin Laden's. Just how crazy was it to go to war with a country who had nothing to do with 911?. It was the ideal excuse. All the American people should have been up in arms about it. The ones who did protest it got alot of flack for doing so. How many times did we hear the military today is all volunteer?. The rhetoric behind it has been that the American people have no argument since they weren't drafted to fight a war unjustified or not.
9 years later where's Bin Laden?, and Afghanistan is still producing heroin, the Taliban is still murdering people just like it was yesterday.............when Russia was trying to get it back under their control the US came to their rescue, and our government has still not learned anything. Nothing like keeping a war going forever with our soldiers fighting with one arm tied behind their backs. Just think if all that manpower, time and money would have used back here at home?..........just think of the soldiers whose lives would have been spared with the ones who are now suffering from loss of limbs, brain injuries, among many other horrific injuries?......for what?. Its yet to be seen what was really accomplished in either country, or how we have benefitted from any of it?............we have more terrorist within, and along our borders for years have been ignored, its growing more out of control all the time, but yet there is no urgency to curtail it, and push it back........the very reasons we see more crime in the US than ever before.

The Dome of the Rock is located at the visual center of a platform known as the Temple Mount, which Muslims refer to as the "Noble Sanctuary". It was constructed over the site of the Second Jewish Temple[citation needed] which was destroyed during the Roman Siege of Jerusalem in 70 CE. In 637 CE, Jerusalem was conquered by the Rashidun Caliphate army during the Muslim conquest of Syria.
Are teachers getting a bad rap?
Public middle schools, and high schools.
We have all seen it, or experienced it. Disrupters, trouble makers, and its no secret that gangs exist in and outside schools.
We have seen a teacher getting beat in the classroom for attempting to maintain control on video.
Teachers have been killed in the school, and even at their homes.
We watched a black student beat and killed leaving a Chicago public school on every news channel prior to summer. Some schools are so bad that going to and from school is a risk, and many run the the gambit everyday.
Granted its not every school, and its hard to imagine what some teachers must go thru every school day while attempting to teach have a slew of other issues they have to deal with.
It begs to question what our City and State officials who work with the school systems intend to do to resolve these many issues?
No question about it that there are those who are poorly qualified to teach, and can compound the learning process, but there are just as many that should have never been parents, and far out weigh the number of teachers, but to dump it all on the school teachers is not justified either.

If a person or organization sells any type of security to a group or individual without a license they are breaking the law, and more than likely are committing fraud, and more than likely will be arrested, fined, and do some jail time, especially if its associated with charitable foundation. On the flip side if an individual, or organization obtains a license through the SEC and commits fraud its as legal as issuing a drivers license to the known town drunk. In some States it may then take any number of convictions for OWI, or DWI, or someone other than he or she has been injured, or killed before a revocation, and jail.
The SEC perpetuates fraud by allowing these bums to go public without a profitable private enterprise that can be substantiated by an accountant. In addition to this every one them should be held accountable thru quarterly, and annual filings, and enforce Sarbane/Oxly who aren't timely in doing so. If they cannot afford to file they can't afford to be public, and no one should be able to able to obtain the right to sell securities based on a business model or idea.

John Candy & Steve Martin in Planes, Trains, and Automobiles was killer funny. My Cousin Vinny was another. Watched back to back would do one in for laughs.
That's questionable isn't it?. I believe they truly were seen as such in WW2?. After WW2 the draft was nothing more than bodies, and sent to fight in unjustifiable wars. The politicians can put any spin on it they want, but it is what it is, and the fallen or those who took heroic actions, and made it back, and received medals appeared to be more like a formality. But those who answered the call and served with distinction did their duty, and all they had to cling to was the hope that they were doing the right things in face of it all. They are our heroes they did what they believed was the right thing to do, they put themselves in the service of this nation. It the politicians that have to answer for it.
The politicians chose not to listen to its people. We took over from where the French left off, and they to would not listen to the people whose country it was when they were asked to leave. Rubber plants were a real resource for tire manufacturers, among a variety of other things. We created a war when there was no war, the people of Vietnam had their skirmishes, and had been fighting among themselves for a thousand years. They were right to ask the French to leave. They were controlling those people like the hierarchy of the old coal mines did to their workers. When payday came around the workers who risked their very lives owed the company money. Working conditions were deplorable.
I remember watching a documentary where one or two who refused the Congressional Medal from serving in Vietnam. They revealed their reasons.
We had a moment in time after WW2 to grow into a nation like no other. We could have become a beacon of hope. Eisenhower wanted to build more schools not more weapons. It was this he warned us about.
Afghanistan was our call to duty, and look how it was handled, and again in a country we did not belong in (Iraq), a war there with us did not exist. We had our noses in that country to when the Russians were fighting against them. Its fair to say our government brought their problems to our shores, and we got caught with our pants down. Its also fair to say our government was responsible for this as well. They were to busy playing Peyton Place.
That's questionable isn't it?. Sorry I posted this twice by mistake.

You decided to answer his request?, and rubbed in some tanning lotion on his back. :)
They aren't that slow on land either, for short burst. They can lift their bodies up, and straighten out their legs if they want?
On NatGeo 2 big Crocs were battling, one was trying to oust the king of the pond, he was huge. The other thought he measured up, but it was a bad call,,,,,,,he lost more than half of his upper mouth,,,,,,,,,,,,it looked terrible. They said he would survive but he would be at the very end when it came to meal time.
I felt bad for him, what a terrible way for him to live out his life......... the adult Australian, or the famous Nile, and African Croc can weigh in at over a ton and grow more than 20ft.
I remember seeing a McDonalds around the Pan Handle years ago selling Alligator Stew, it was surprising..........it must be popular in some areas?
Not if its filled with alligators,,,,,,,
I saw a film on some Crocs in Australia, it may have been with Steve Irwin?, who was a passenger in a helicopter, and looking for big Crocs,,,,,,,,,the one they saw on the river got spooked and it was trying to flee. Using its massive tail it was estimated traveling at 60mph on the surface.
If a person is swimming where they shouldn't and a Croc hears the spashing it may come to investigate, if he does?, when the swimmer turns all he see's or perhaps the last he will see is the Croc staring at him. He then waits for the person to move, and most would be in a panic, and then the Croc strikes............
As long as the person remains still, he may be safe for the moment while he ponders some escape?, but how many options are there?
Guess Who's Coming to Dinner...
June 2, 2006
Knock, knock...Who's there? How about a six-foot long, hungry alligator...?
It may sound like the perfect set-up for a 'knock-knock joke', but this was no laughing matter for a South Carolina family earlier this month.
It's a good thing that Roslyn and Robert Loretta chose not to answer the door of their Bluffton, South Carolina home when they heard a knock the evening of June 2nd, because it turned out to be a six-foot long, hungry alligator paying them a visit.
Not only did the gator knock on their front door, but a photograph of it was taken balancing on its back legs, appearing to reach for the doorbell.
{and I was NOT going to look for it!!!!} :))
You gotta watch Animal Planet my friend. They get into peoples pools. Not so long ago a little girl was killed and eaten. Some get rather large. There are plenty of attack stories where people have lost limbs............I would be careful getting out of my car in unfamiliar places at night.
When they capture those that haven't done any harm they still get euthanized. I think they should be relocated, but this is what they do........maybe the skins get used?
$500 of generated revenue, and he needed a million to get there.
He is quite the businessman............if this is all any private business could generate within 3 to 6 months after everything it would have no recourse but to shut down, unless some miracle happened to turn things around, no lender would take on any more risk.
