Your probably right, and make some valid points. If people hunt for those reasons they don't do it for the enjoyment of the hunt they just enjoy the meat, and in turn may be helping with over population if its a problem in their area. Unlike poaching.

Yeah some hunting may be necessary, and helps many to survive during the lean months when others would starve. A horrible way for an animal to have to suffer an die. Poaching is killing off the exotic wild life and your right its all about money.

Its the trophy hunters that need to get a taste for what they call sport, wonder how they would like it if someone with a gun was firing at them from a blind when they were out hunting. Better yet put them in a wilderness area without a gun and expose them to hunters who are looking for people trophies and their heads to be mounted on their wall.

Most of us don't think about our steaks, chicken, etc and that entire process when we sit down to eat.

I saw a film a while back where horses were getting sold for meat then taken to Mexico to be slaughtered. Some were race horses who had lost their speed. I always thought they were led out to pasture and retired. Its sickening how they are treated, and then brutually killed. It should be illegal. Its the owners who are guilty of this that should be sold. The people involved in filming this was pushing for legislation that would stop horses getting sold for meat.
