Did PLUG double their shares, or only the authorized amount?

Wouldn't leaking hydrogen atoms link up with oxygen atoms and create water? I don't see the hydrogen getting all the way up to the stratosphere without bumping into some oxygen.
It's going to start in about 12 minutes. About 10:30am. Lucky for me as I was having technical problems of my own.
Interesting. Thanks blanka.
Does anybody know how much carbon emissions can be treated at a time and how quickly? Can FCEL's cc handle the spewing smoke from a coal-fired energy plant? or does it work on a much smaller scale?
I was surprised POSCO covering the legal costs wasn't part of the settlement agreement. I think it should have been.
Thank you, DiscoverGold. So demand dictates the premium. That's good to know. With the current politics, I don't think the demand will lessen anytime soon. I will look into Apmex.
Hello to the board. I'm new here and have a question I hope somebody can help me with.
I'm trying to buy a large investment (for me) in silver and am surprised at the mark-up for American Eagles. Silver sits at $24 an ounce and the Kitco price for a 20 coin Silver Eagles roll is $715, or $35.75 per coin. This is a 49% mark-up. That seems like an excessive amount.
My question is, is this a normal mark-up? Does the mark-up usually stay at 49% no matter what the silver price is? On the other hand, is the mark-up always about $12 per coin no matter what the silver price is?
I would prefer to buy silver coins rather than bullion bars, due to it's easier to make small transactions, but 100 oz bars are selling on Kitco for only a 16% mark-up.
If the coin mark-up is always about 49%, I would do better to buy coins now, but if the coin mark-up is always about $12 per coin, I would do better to buy bars now and, after the price of silver gets much higher, trade the bars for more coins than I could buy now.
Was I clear with my questions? Thanks for any help you can offer.
Hi Steve. I'm not posting on the PLUG board anymore due to JB infuriates me by removing my posts and being so snarkily anti-PLUG, but I wanted to suggest that you try joining the Facebook group: PLUG POWER INC (SHAREHOLDERS). So I chased you down here.
There is a lot of good information on it. There is even a daily brief posted each morning by Robert Friedlander, PLUG's Director of Investor Relations.

Still here. Hoping things get better about Nov 2024.
Here is another Andy interview, for those that are interested:
Andy said 1st quarter report on March 1st. I guess I'll have to listen to it again. I think I heard something noteworthy that hasn't been discussed.
Does anybody have a link to a transcript of the business update?
If PLUG received the $520 million DOE money they applied for last April, would they be required to announce it publicly?
That, combined with a decent 15% return on the $3 billion, invested wisely by their magician CFO could account for most of the money.
Andy confirmed "$4.5 billion in the bank" at end of 2021 during the interview.
It seems Andy is going to interview with Benzinga at 12:15pm est today.
WTM- The problem with voting only on climate issues is that there would be a new vote required in the House, and there is a group of social(ist) justice representatives there who won't vote for a bill that stripped away all the welfare aspects of the original BBB.

uk- Are you aware there is a STAMP Facebook page. It looks like they might be planning to post updated photos to show construction progress. It looks like good activity between Jan 7 and Jan 14.
https://www.facebook.com/WNYSTAMP
That was remarkable. I thought they were down to about $3 billion.
Andy should have known better than to pick such a crowded metropolitan area as Holtwood. There was no hope of ever expanding the plant there. See the map:

The purchase of Joule for $30 million last Friday didn't merit a news release? Was it too small a deal?
JB- Are you referring to the irrational exuberance displayed by the stock price since November? Could be...in reverse!
Article mentions PLUG. The buildings idea is interesting.

That raises a good question Velcro. I think the EV batteries are about $18,000. How much is the current price for a fuel cell for a car?
Andy gives credit to the customers. Good leaders don't need the credit. They're just happy with success.
Yes. Andy was smart to identify green hydrogen as the Holy Grail. If anybody can make it competitive, it will be him.
I wonder how much cubic feet of natural gas it takes to create that 1kg of hydrogen and 9.3kgs of CO2.
Interesting fact: Each kilogram of grey hydrogen produced, creates 9.3 kilograms of carbon dioxide.
Interesting article. I hope to be hearing more about data centers using hydrogen soon.

No, the Hyundai hydrogen fuel cell program hasn’t been cancelled
January 5, 2022 0 By BRET WILLIAMS
The automaker has changed directions with H2, but not nearly as dramatically as initially reported.
Recent headlines had been reporting that Hyundai was completely shutting down its hydrogen fuel cell car program, but as it turns out, this is not the case. At the start of the year, the automaker has released reports confirming that it hasn’t dropped H2.
The rumors that the H2 program had been closed began as a result of a report from Korea’s Chosun Libo.
The opinion piece stated that since the internal combustion laboratory at Hyundai – which is actually shutting down – was closing, so would the research the automaker was conducting. However, since that report made the rounds, Hyundai has strongly denied that it was abandoning its hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEVs). It also confirmed that it was continuing to move ahead with the development of its Genesis luxury hydrogen cars.
FCEV production may be facing some delays – likely until around 2025 – as certain hiccups caused Hyundai’s third generation fuel cell stack’s development to slow down. However, “Hyundai Motor Group can confirm that it is not halting the development of its engines following recent media speculation,” said the statement from the South Korean automaker. “The Group is dedicated to providing a strong portfolio of powertrains to global customers, which includes a combination of highly efficient engines and zero emissions electric motors.”
Beyond the hydrogen fuel cell cars, Hyundai has also been moving toward FCEV long-haul trucks.
The relationship between H2 and commercial vehicles is as connected and yet different as milk and cheese, said Hyundai Motors Group (KRX stock symbol 005380) Senior Vice President of Fuel Cell Center Sae Hoon Kim said. He explained that nomadic people “preserve milk as cheese left over from the summer,” so that the cheese can be used over the winter as a “milk substitute”.
He added that “Hydrogen will play a similar role to cheese,” during an online conference presentation about hydrogen fuel cell vehicles, because it will “convert excess electricity generated from clean sources — such as wind or solar power — into [energy-dense] hydrogen that can be stored in huge quantities.”
Ole Hoefelmann mentions the PA hydrogen plant in passing:

Plug Power “After 3 years, the proportion of green hydrogen will reach 60%…SK E&S is the best partner”
[Editor's Note] From fossil fuels to clean energy, mankind's great challenge toward carbon neutrality has begun. Major countries are taking big steps in the energy transition to save the planet from global warming caused by climate change. Carbon neutrality is also the site of a fierce economic war to take the lead in the new economic ecosystem realized by clean energy. Money Today, which has led clean energy such as hydrogen and carbon-neutral issues, is celebrating the new year of 2022 with 'Energy Conversion-Going the Carbon-Neutral Road', which tours the carbon-neutral sites of major countries in the world such as the US, Germany, UK, France, and the Middle East. I will publish.

Ole Hoefelmann Head of Plug Power Electrolyzer Solutions
" PlugPower is building the world's largest green hydrogen infrastructure in the United States, starting with plants in Georgia and New York. Plug Power's green hydrogen production is still very small, but by 2025 , green hydrogen production will be 500 tons per day. , the proportion of green hydrogen in plug power hydrogen production is expected to increase to more than 60 %.”
Raise hopeol million ( Ole Hoefelmann ) Plug Power electrolytic solution, said general manager responsible for the production of hydrogen thus the goal of the US Green power plug.
Plug Power is an American hydrogen company established in 1997 . It is also the only company with hydrogen technology to pursue a large-scale in-house project. Starting as a PEMFC (Polymer Electrolyte Fuel Cell) company, which is a hydrogen fuel cell for vehicles, we are currently developing the entire green hydrogen value chain, including electrolyzers, liquefied hydrogen plants, and hydrogen charging stations, which are key facilities for water electrolysis (a technology that produces hydrogen by electrolysis of water). is overseeing
In order to preoccupy the rapidly growing US hydrogen market, Plug Power aggressively acquired hydrogen companies such as electrolyzer companies and liquid hydrogen manufacturers. Only hopeol general responsibility "Plug Power is 2020 for the electrolyzer technology advancement in gineo ELK X (After acquiring Giner ELX ), we acquired United Hydrogen, which has manufacturing and distribution capabilities for liquid hydrogen.
” He said, “ Based on the acquisition of Giner ELX, we are currently providing electrolyzer-related solutions to the market.” “This year, 100MW ( megawatts) said over sales targets. "plug power has been utilizing the companies acquired to build a green hydrogen infrastructure in Georgia, New York factory.
plug power has also expanded the plant to respond to the hydrogen production infrastructure demand trends The initial plant will be completed in Georgia, Pennsylvania, New York, etc. and will produce at least 10 to 45 tonnes of green liquid hydrogen per day . In the long run , it will be able to supply more than 500 tonnes of green hydrogen per day by 2025. Hydrogen fuel It also possesses hydrogen-based mobility business capabilities such as forklifts and trucks that are used as electric vehicles. general liability "plug power is a global market share of hydrogen forklifts field 95 said No. 1 to%" "established a joint venture with the French Renault group, via high ( HYVIA

” Power currently operates more than 165 hydrogen refueling stations for its customers . “Most of these refueling stations are supplying liquid hydrogen.”
Plug Power plans to expand globally based on these capabilities. responsibility "plug power Egypt ( 100MW ), Australia ( 250MW ), etc. was selected as numerous green hydrogen project, Susan's equipment suppliers," he said, "Susan year for business opportunities development of global partners and cooperation."

JB- Do you have a link to any fines the SEC assessed the company? Any penalties? Is PLUG under any continuing scrutiny? Surely there must a letter of censure included in a 10q?
No? Well then, I guess you can it a 'fiasco' if you want. But you would be wrong.
For years the accounting methods were approved by KPMG, a world class accounting firm. A new KPMG auditor came in with a different interpretation of the cryptic financial reporting regulations and, for the sake of improved accuracy, recommended the previous few years be restated. Paul agreed, and the restatement was completed in a reasonable time. Good job, Paul.
How a manager reacts to an unfortunate situation like the one above, reveals a lot about whether I would want to work for him. Andy handled it with class. On the other hand, if the manager were to continually carp about it and trumpet the big 'FIASCO', I guess I would tell that manager to shut his big mouth with all his negativity.
Could you give me another example of any irregularities that originated under Paul Middleton's leadership? Seven years would surely have more proof of his incompetence. Don't you think?
As for the precipitous drop in share price, unless you think PLUG is a bellwether of the entire NASDAQ mid caps, there were definitely other contributing factors to the drop. What they were is a topic for another discussion.
Here is one vote to keep the current CFO. He has been on board for seven years and grown into the job of a world-class CFO by steering Plug Power into becoming a world class company.
Middleton's efforts have contributed toward exciting acquisitions, compiling a huge war chest, and outstanding revenue growth, both today and in the far foreseeable future. He and the CEO are a formidable team. Any suggestions the company has engaged in seeking Middleton's replacement are ludicrous and possibly an attempt to create discord in the company's leadership ranks. if so, that would be despicable!
I'll take the loyalty of a long-time executive who is familiar with the vagaries of this burgeoning hydrogen industry, one who has been on board with the strategizing and decision-making for many years, and one who has close working relationships with his fellow employees as well as an understanding of their strengths and weaknesses, over replacing him with the ambitions of an opportunistic gunslinger looking for bigger paycheck before he moves on to the next bigger paycheck.
New executives bring uncertainties, misunderstandings, and possible accidental errors executing prearranged plans. PLUG's business plan is well determined, settled, and in full steam ahead mode. Any changes now are unwarranted and could possibly be catastrophic.
JB- Don't forget to provide the link JMI requested. I looked, but wasn't able to find it.
velcro- So would I. Let's hope for more clarity on all their projects whenever they can share it.
JB- I hear ya! If it's not increasing revenue projections, it's new partners here, there and everywhere. If it's not building a new plant here, it's building a new plant there. If it's not new headquarters in Europe, it's new headquarters in S. Korea.
Can't they get out of this rut and think of something new?!
JB- Thanks for repeating your posts multiple times for those of us who might have missed them the first couple times. Much appreciated!
Thanks, uk. I expect 2022 to be a great year for hydrogen. Is it NLLSF you own? During the past few days I was attempting to get into the hacked Plugpower.com website and NEL's 3rd quarter presentation popped out of nowhere. I don't know how it happened, or why, but I hadn't searched NEL at all before that. I researched it and NEL seems to be the European counterpart to PLUG. I wonder if they will be competitors or join together to become a mega-force. It got me wondering...
