Here is one vote to keep the current CFO. He has been on board for seven years and grown into the job of a world-class CFO by steering Plug Power into becoming a world class company.
Middleton's efforts have contributed toward exciting acquisitions, compiling a huge war chest, and outstanding revenue growth, both today and in the far foreseeable future. He and the CEO are a formidable team. Any suggestions the company has engaged in seeking Middleton's replacement are ludicrous and possibly an attempt to create discord in the company's leadership ranks. if so, that would be despicable!
I'll take the loyalty of a long-time executive who is familiar with the vagaries of this burgeoning hydrogen industry, one who has been on board with the strategizing and decision-making for many years, and one who has close working relationships with his fellow employees as well as an understanding of their strengths and weaknesses, over replacing him with the ambitions of an opportunistic gunslinger looking for bigger paycheck before he moves on to the next bigger paycheck.
New executives bring uncertainties, misunderstandings, and possible accidental errors executing prearranged plans. PLUG's business plan is well determined, settled, and in full steam ahead mode. Any changes now are unwarranted and could possibly be catastrophic.
