One or more things below need to happen to improve the MJ Sector in the USA:
1) Jeff Sessions is removed/retired/resigns from his current position
2) Legislation needs to pass legalizing recreational MJ use federally
3) Banking system changes regarding MJ Companies
PNTV needs:
1) Better PR management
2) Demonstrated consistent revenue
3) File financial documents on time
4) Awarded multiple dispensaries
5) Increase awareness that PNTV is a legitimate company and worthy of investment
6) Overall Brand awareness. Possible company name change. Player's network is not necessarily a great name for an MJ company.
Zenrush,
I have been reading these boards well over a year and have had a few posts in support and criticism of PNTV.
I have been a shareholder since 10/21/2016 and have continued to grow my position. I haven't panicked and sold. I have held firm, sold for a profit and acquired more, like most of the people on this board. So I am not new to PNTV at all.
I believe the company can and will succeed. However, neither Mark nor Brett are charismatic in my opinion. I do like that they are more focused on growing now instead of their media business. They are making some great moves, but the message is not delivered in the best possible format. If they had a PR person that was charismatic, then that would attract more individuals to listen to the message. For example, a lot of TV Weather people are charismatic...that is what gets people to watch the weather on the news.
That is all I am saying. How you deliver the message is often more important than what is being said.
Let's hope for a green day...
To be honest, I think they should have a more charismatic individual presenting the press releases.
Mark and Brett should be buying back stocks at these prices...
Mark needs to utilize their new PR Company to make announcements...
The inability of Mark to spark interest and enthusiasm is why they hired a PR firm. That way the news they do have can be stated in a way that people will easily understand and get onboard with.
them hiring a PR firm may be that they do have good news pending, but want to ensure it is delivered properly for maximum effect.
If we get caught up in the day over day trend...then yeah, this stock is frustrating. However, they have moved share price significantly in 2017.
I am very interested in Q4 financials where we will see cash assets and potentially get a glimpse at what the settlement was from Comcast. Ideally, we should see ZERO debt!!
The settlement may be confidential, but the dollars that were received should now be listed as a cash asset for the company. Either way, we should be able to see it on their financial statements.
Toxic,
You have no clue...It was a confidential settlement. Comcast is currently in the process of trying to acquire FOX, so they would not want the negative PR related to a lost lawsuit. It is to their advantage to keep the settlement confidential...when you talk about millions investors get nervous, even though Comcast is a Fortune 50 company it impacts their stock price. So keeping it quiet has less of an impact.
PNTV just needs to start utilizing the cash once it is received and then announce some of the changes they have made due to the added cash.
The settlement should reflect on the Q4 10Q submitted by PNTV. It will be considered cash or an asset. Their debts should be paid if the settlement was large enough.
If Mark was wise, I have my doubts, then they would discuss what they are doing with the settlement without disclosing the amount of the settlement. That way the shareholders know the money is being used productively. I just hope they use it properly to grow the weed business and not WeedTV or MJ Accelerator, which are a waste in my opinion.
I am still not sold on Weed TV or MJ Accelerator. I hope they prove me wrong. Because a couple more revenue streams will surely help.
The true revenue, in my opinion, is in growing a better product than your competitors and selling it. The more you grow, the more revenue. That should be the primary focus and hopefully this Comcast settlement is used to do just that...
Comcast would like to keep things confidential because that is the nature of a large corporation. Even though we do not know the amount of the settlement, we should have a better understanding when Q4 financial statements are filed because it will have to be recorded.
Even if Comcast paid $150 million. That is a drop in the bucket for a fortune 50 company. However, even if Comcast dumped $20 million to let this lawsuit go away, the average shareholder for Comcast may consider this a significant loss when in fact it really isn't.
Mark's video was excellent. It was detailed. We need more videos like it moving forward.
I do have a question though...100# of product every month at the end of Q1 2018, at $2400 a pound only yields $240,000 a month or $2.88 million a year. This is a good start, but not enough to offset their overall expenses I believe. Anyone believe otherwise?
I thought they had a lot more inventory as well...to sell 38k in product at a cost of 32k??? low margin IMO.
I hope to see an announcement in the near future regarding the settlement and how they will use it to grow their business faster...
As much as I would like to see this stock surge. The fact that the settlement was confidential is hurting the stock. It could have been for 5 million or 100 million.
I assume they will need to report the settlement on their Q4 financial reports?
I agree that a media company should use their best hardware to broadcast anything. To use a cell phone means you have no common sense. Don't they realize that how they present is just as important as the content?
I believe Management has made some blunders. This stock will self correct when:
1) Successful growth and harvest of product
2) Selling of said product
3) Expansion of growing facilities
4) Demonstrate product can be grown, harvest and turned into revenue and repeated
5) Revenue is greater than all operational expenses
This should begin as early s the end of Q4 or Q1 next year... Otherwise, management needs to be replaced.
Nevada will be a very competitive market and PNTV has (or had) a great headstart...They just need to execute their damn phases and stop throwing parties...Celebrate once there is a significant revenue stream...
To be honest...the best people to run this operation are the ones that don't actually use the product :)
N_D_K,
I am sure some jobs have been created. However, earning profits does generate more tax revenue for the state. PNTV needs to the state of Nevada to understand that they are a serious competitor in the market and that It is in the States best interest to help them grow and bring additional revenue for the politicians...
WeedTV ... still not sold on it. The heart of PNTV is getting Greenleaf farms fully active and growing and executing on its promise to provide a tangible product for consumers...
I am have been holding PNTV for close to a year now...
PNTV needs to focus primarily on growing their product and filling their warehouse. They need to ensure that they have the business relationships in place and contracts to supply the distributors. The Growing market is only going to get more competitive in Nevada, so the longer PNTV takes to establish the business connections, the worse off they will be.
Finish the damn phases, start making a profit. Q4 should be a significant profit boost for PNTV. If not in Q4, than Q1-2018 better be otherwise PNTV is being mismanaged and need better leadership.
All Mark needs to do is put the correct people in place to assist in managing the business and that is what it looks like he is doing. He must be doing something right to get through all the hurdles needed to get licensed. Building a successful business is not just about one person, it is about the team around them.
Just added more at .116 :)
Be patient. PNTV is really just beginning to execute. As product grows and business model is proven. The stock will increase.
Am I the only one that feels that the MJ Accelerator program is such a small drop in the bucket for PNTV? Now please correct me if I am wrong, but it is a program to educate and train individuals to startup their own MJ business right? Essentially training other people to effectively compete with PNTV and in some rare instances could generate an employee for PNTV.
What is the potential profit associated with the MJ accelerator?
The Big corporate money will come in once it is legal for recreational use Federally. I think before then, some corporations may be concerned about their company being tied into MJ.
