Instead of contacting PHMSA , maybe it would be wise to contact Sen Cruz , who did express interest in Delvin during the senate conf hearings or maybe Zeldin ,they might be able to expidite the process
Lets hope for good news next week , come on FID
Boring....wake me up when something happens !! ...USA oil and gas supply exploding, countries from around the world flooding US for supply...Delfin sits strangled by GOVT. delays, cant get FID, ever day is a missed opportunity, what a shame !!
looks like some people are taking profits today
Maybe the Iran deal will help speed up the approval process. countries around the world are coming to USA for oil/fuel , our govt is one step forward ...two steps back, the only thing govt is good at is manufacturing BS !! and delays
Amen Dino !!!
I have only been here about a year, not even close to you old timers, not going to sell, just waiting just like everyone else, any idea when PHMSA will happen?
Any ideas on what further delays are causing FID or merger not happening, going on almost 3 wk of April.
This saga is like the movie " Groundhog Day" over and over and over and over again !!!!
Just think..its been almost 7 months since the last FID announcement last year in October ...;yes time does get away !!!!
Like Delfin has too much money ?????????? yes they need to RM !!!!!
Whether it makes a difference or not regarding the lawsuit pertaining to the FID , a quick out of court settlement would make for a lot better advancement for the FID and merger in the overall picture.
Dead On Arrival = DOA
Is this board DOA ?
If Delfin can repair the damaged pipe asap ,then do another pig run asap , get good results, we could maybe get FID sooner than expected. Don't know how fed restrictions will play out in the process.
Would it be easier for Delfin to attain signed contracts for future gas purchases after they declare the FID ?
Price increase for nat gas good ...but not going to help Delfin at this stage of development !!
like I said ...living in your brain ....sorry !!!
SORRY rsande1, got under your skin...guess I will be living in your brain ...rent free !!!
I believe Delfin was going to announce the FID in February pending a pigging proving the integrity of the line as that being the last step for FID, but due to a dumb mistake by somebody has stopped the FID. Now the govt has put restrictions on Delfin that have to be satisfied before any more movement. Then the integrity of the line has to be approved for the govt and money men, the lawsuit will take care of itself, this is going to take time, how long who knows ??
Its going to be March, probably April, Delfin has got a lot of work ahead to satisfy FID status, plus repair line.
Yes, pretty much stale
management certificate means what ?
I think we have gone from "optimistic" to PRAYING for just something to happen sometime !!
Wish Trump would help Delfin get its FID !!!!
And the article says in the last sentence ....."All pending on financing" ...Dont you think by now they would have all the damn money lined up ????????
The way I see it , the FID will be held up due to the pipeline explosion, they dont have conformation on the integrity of the line due to the fire. The pipe has to be fixed first, test on the line next and satisfy any govt bs. I think the lawsuit will be taken care of early by settlement out of court . This stupid mistake has presented another delay.
The money is not going to flow if the pipeline is not feasible, no pipeline ...no money
The bang bang killed the FID , with all the govt conditions Delfin needs to meet, FID looks like April at the earliest , hope I am wrong/
This fri. would be a nice day to announce the FID after that only one more week in Feb.
Delfin just needs to get the pipeline repaired and meet all govt reg ASAP...get the pipeline operating which will turn Delfin into a player in the gas industry, the lawsuit will take care of itself..
could they coat the inside of the pipe for repair ?
sorry about the double dip
Replacing the pipeline, would it require starting all over with permitting and govt approval ??

As posted by " Troubles " ...He thought the Delfin pipeline was steel coated with tar and cement , I dont know anything about pipeline construction but this seems it might be outdated in todays pipeline construction. The Delfin pipeline is 48 years old and might be prone to future repairs and especially down time, which can lead to loss of income and more regulation from govt.
The cost of a new pipeline is a lot cheaper than I thought, that might be a smart investment to look at, especially for the money men and further trouble with the old line. If Delfin could finally start operations and continue for a year or two then install a new line would seem to be a good plan. As time goes by the cost of a new line will increase.
A lot if IF s and BUT s , just going to have to wait and see !!!!
Troubles 1....with your 40+ experience in the oil and gas industry and the knowledge you have gained , could you estimate what the lifetime of a gas pipeline would be and also can pipelines be refurbished to last longer ?
Batter up.....third week coming
with all bs put aside and with all the latest happenings with TGLO , what would an honest opinion be on the pps after the FID is announced ??
