IVXX in LA add 7 new retailers...old or new news?
Time to get the party started again. Wednesday, the 18th is gone forever!
Good on ya, Bull!
Finally, a rationalized post! While I don't share all your views wholeheartedly, you're clear, concise and to the point! The pumping and the bashing have gotten completely out of hand. What used to be a vibrant board of point-counterpoint, pro and con, for and against, etc. has turned into nothing more than the same script over and over and over and over...
This post was supposed to be a BRAVO ZULU for you, BrazenBull!
So, BRAVO ZULU!
Found this PR on TD Ameritrade:
Edited: My bad. Just saw the time stamp, did't look to see if it was from yesterday.
Your wit and dry humor keep me laughing. I also like the "grocery" list at the end of the majority of your posts.
And you got a stake in the game with $TRTC.
Everyone...take a pause from whatever reason you're here, either pumping or bashing!
You're talking of pennies turning into diamonds or dust!
Be glad you can...thank a vet!
To all that have served, still serving and to those that gave the ultimate sacrifice...
I THANK YOU, VETERANS!!
Any seconds?

What a great day for $TRTC and a great group of investors!!
Used the last bit of powder today and got 10k more shares! Not braggin'...just glad I could!
ALL IN!!
Expecting a huge turnout in FL for the vote! YES on 2!
$TRTC
Sleek, congrats man, well deserved!
DickyBad, job well done!
To many, many people here that believe in what we have...I say congrats!
For the FL 2: Burned a couple of vac days to help the cause last Thursday and Friday. No one giving in yet. Last day for early voting in my county. Big money from Vegas played a huge role in the neg ads the last few weeks. I'm hoping for a sleeper turnout thru Tuesday!
Remember: A don't vote means....no whining, complaining b!tching, p!ss moaning, etc. It also means...someone out there may not get the needed relief because of pre-conceived ideas fostered by the intellectually challenged.
I'm off my soapbox...
Nice find! Enjoyed the movie and this read!
Magnum, my answer to you took longer than expected...work got in the way yesterday!
Yes, you are right about Boca setting a moratorium for MMJ establishments in the city because they want to "wait and see" if the amendment passes and fully control where new businesses can set up shop in what used to be ritzy Boca (MHO). I believe the moratorium is for 1 year. What counts is when they start the moratorium. If Amendment 2 passes this NOV, there will not be anything for sale until late 2015 or early 2016 and we all know that a lot can change in that time period...especially tax $$s crossing city lines. ;)
Regs...what Regs are you referring to? If you're referring to the Regs for Amendment 2 being voted on by the good people in the great state of FL now thru NOV 4th, they aren't even written yet.
So, that can only mean you are referring to the Regs with regards to the Compassionate Care Act of 2014. Is this what you meant? Completely different ballgame. The CCA of 2014 is strictly low THC and high CBD. No wavering on this at all. 5 growers for 5 regions. Whereas the NOV MMJ Amendment 2 is for all strains and potencies.
I'm curious as to the source of your DD. I volunteer with a group supporting the passage of Amendmentt 2 here in FL. Any source of credible info that would help the cause would be greatly appreciated.

Well said!
TRTC
JUST TAKE IT!
We're only in day 2 of early voting. I voted YES yesterday. Most polls are indicating now that the majority will prevail, however, the 60% needed to pass the amendment is favoring the unlikely side.
This past summer, support was extremely strong...a lot of seniors were actually behind it. Support numbers were in the high 70s and low 80s. Now, after a lawyer that was instrumental in getting the petitions signed and all the legalities completed on time, made a huge gaff at a rally on or near USF and numbers started to decline. May be a coincidence, but I'm not a firm believer in those. Also, remember that this vote will follow the gubernatorial race. One is for, the other is against. The AG running for re-election is against.
So, putting all that aside, should FL pass the amendment, it still has to be regulated and they have until July of next year. So, first crops of MMJ will not be ready until late 2015 or early 2016. And hopefully they will not regulate dispensaries and growers like they are doing with those focused on the FL Compassionate Care Act. 5 growers (30+ yrs of experience) located in 5 regions of the state. Completely bass ackwards! And if it passes, these 5 growers can't grow any of the high THC herb because they are regulated to .8% THC limit (Charlotte's Web variety).
I'm really hoping people in FL push this through. Not just because of my stock position, but because it will really help more people than you'd think. $TRTC can make a strong statement in FL if this passes. I'm keeping my ears open and if I hear of any numbers I can reasonably substantiate, be it good or bad, I will relay info to the board.
Early voting started today in FL and I'm on my way to vote!
Vote YES on Amendment 2!
Great day $TRTC!
Great call, SLEEK!
Morning everyone! Here's my guesstimation for 6 MME certs.
6 Licenses Price Predictions
Here are the rules:
The price you pick is your best guess for the maximum price TRTC will attain within 3 trading days after the press release that announces that TRTC gets 6 licenses.
So if press release occurs in premarket, that day counts as day 1.
For example, if press release occurs in premarket on a Monday, then you are guessing the maximum price that TRTC will hit thru the end of trading Wednesday.
If the press release occurs after the market close on Mondsy, then the close of trading on Thursday ends the contest.
If the press release occurs during the trading day, if it occurs before 1:00PM EST on Monday, then the contest ends at the close on Wednesday.
If the press release occurs during the trading day at 1:00PM EST or after, then the contest ends at the close of trading on Thursday.
To reiterate, this contest is about TRTC announcing they have procured 6 licenses in Nevada.
You only get one guess and you can't change it-
If you choose to participate in the contest, then add your prediction and repost this entire post. Cut and paste the entire post but add your prediction.

The state of NV is not doing so bad with the MME application fees received for lab, cultivation, production and dispensary certifications. At $5k per app and a total of 519 apps...a cool $2.6M (rounded).
Sleek, are your numbers derived from this list of paid applicants?
http://www.health.nv.gov/MedicalMarijuana/MMEsByJurisdiction.pdf
If not, do you see any major revisions to your projected numbers? It also seems that there are alot more applications for the 18 dispensaries in Paradise Township or maybe I'm missing something. I understand the Clark County vetting process, but that was really 'suggested' by state officials to help cull out the weak IMO.
Just trying to get it terms of apples to apples. People I work with in FL for the Amendment 2 cause were curious before making a timely investment in $TRTC. TIA

It is great news that TRTC is touching the plant! Good on ya Sleek for making that call!
My 2 cents for extract expansion using Hi-Flo CO2 systems:
• Oakland facility
o Use for all CA supply
o Training facility for future systems/sites throughout US. This allows for concurrent operations training during equipment sale lead times.
• Expansion into NV
o Ground work is in place. And after state certification and local licensure is acquired, go Vegas style and “all in”!
o Use profits from “traditional sales” to procure new Hi-Flo CO2 system
• FL
o If TRTC can gain presence in FL, the first product anyone in FL will be getting is an extract.
o By having the CA facility functional, this bodes well for TRTC to partner with one of the ”lucky 5” in FL. Experience is a great and useful tool.
o Even if FL passes the MMJ law in NOV, the Charlotte’s Web variety will be the first to hit the market in the form of oils/edibles under current legislation with product available in 2015
o FL is a huge market to focus on…and early inclusion into the market is key.
• NY
o Their need is now with the Gov. asking Justice to allow line crossing to help those in need.
o As big a market as CA IMO and the city is still high on the list for tourists
• New Hi-Flo CO2 systems are under $150K which, by numbers expressed by others here on the board, makes it a worthy and practicable investment with high ROI potential.
Federally, when MJ is rescheduled to a III or IV, consolidated extraction facilities into regionals for greater efficiencies.
As I said, my 2 cents. And if I ever win the lottery…

Sorry for that! Didn't see that you were missing the $. I'll blame it on old age.......
Right! And that's a classic example of what could take place...28 years, 3 locations, 70 employees and still can't meet the requirement of 30 years. That's where changes in the requirements need to be made.
Sunshine and Palm Creek, both are affiliated with TRTC through EG, but neither is growing anything yet for EG. So, all the EG numbers from 2Q do not include any revenue from the FL EG division. And I've talked with people from both places and they are ready to go given the word!
I may be mistaken, but I believe the EG relationship with both of these growers is the 15-18% revenue sharing (not sure whether it's gross or net sharing). Anyone please correct or add to this financial arrangement.
Today is the 3rd and possibly final "special hearing" day for FL MMJ Compassionate Care Act of 2014. One of the topics to be discussed is the lottery system for cultivator selection for each of the 5 regions in FL.
This has been a hot topic among potential growers since each region has more than 1 qualified cultivator per region, thus requiring the lottery style selection process to be implemented. I don't believe they will address the 30 year nurseryman requirement, which limits the available talent for growing MMJ.
This is a golden opportunity for companies like $TRTC to joint venture or contractually partner with a cultivator and thus dispense as well since FL wants turnkey operations for each region. The product is most likely to be an extract from the plant for patients with refractory and intractable seizure activity or certain cancer related treatment needs. $TRTC needs to be ready for all opportunities ahead...for cultivation, production and dispensing operations. All they need is the right partner...just need to find the WHO!
FL will explode after the November elections when full MMJ amendment is passed on the 2nd!
Baby steps to a full blown run!!
Received this from the NV MME Listserv about a meeting to discuss the states total square footage needs for MMJ cultivation.
It appears that the state is saying they need 650,00-1,000,000 sqft to meet all needs for MMJ in NV, including out of state participants. As of now, the total "applied for" square footage exceeds the need by 2-3 times.
Looks like it's time to cull the herd....I view this as an added bonus for $TRTC!!

1. Opening Remarks
2. Public Comment. Discussion of Section 131 of Nevada Administrative Code 453A (LCB File
No. R004-14A) regarding limiting the cultivation of medical marijuana and the square footage
needed in Nevada. The Division’s calculations indicate that 650,000 to 1 Million square
footage of medical marijuana cultivation would be needed to support the medical marijuana
needs for the state of Nevada, including usage by nonresidents. This estimate also takes into
account the inhalable, ingestible and topical usage of cannabis. The square footage identified
in the cultivation establishment applications received by the Division exceeds the projected
square footage needed by 2 – 3 times.

Depending on how TRTC wants to "sell" the extracted product, two different certifications come to mind IMO.
ISO 9001: general quality management systems. This would be great for manufacturing product and ensuring the output quality meets or exceeds specifications for production.
ISO 17025: cGLP or continued Good Laboratory Practices, specifies requirements for the competence to carry out tests and/or calibrations, including sampling. It covers testing and calibration performed using standard methods, non-standard methods, and laboratory-developed methods.
Either or both would be good to bolster the quality of the product, especially from a MMJ standpoint. Again, my opinion.
State laws would need to be checked for mandated requirements.
I talked with both. They were also very excited about things coming down the pike.
Florida Update:
Edible Garden: The 2 FL growers have yet to produce any product for Edible Garden. So, EG revs in Q2 are without any FL contribution. Just got off the phone with both and verified.
Exceeded guidance without FL revenues…priceless! Major retailers are in the works for FL!
FL MMJ: LOI with Florida Tuxedo Plants, is just that, an LOI. No major money going anywhere soon. LOI is simply an agreement to agree. Executable contract, however, are a whole new ballgame. And besides, FTP is one of 41 nurseries in the state that meet the minimum requirements for growing MMJ. They would still need to be selected, and as of now, by a lottery if there’s more than 1 grower for the region. They’ve divided the state into 5 regions.
Jtyler1; Don't have PM. Yes, I live in Tally.
Here's a article from Sunday's Tallahassee Democrat newspaper quoting Nison, Terra Tech's Southeast director of operations, about how us baby boomers are going to get more MMJ in FL this November.
Notice the reference of Terra Tech...California company...cultivating...dispensing.
On the industry side, Evan Nison, director of Southeast operations for Terra Tech, based in California, says boomers are responsible for the upswing in support for marijuana law reform nationwide. The company, traded publicly, grows medical marijuana and has a dispensary, along with Edible Garden, a hydroponic produce company. He's looking for businesses and growers in Florida to partner with.
"In states like Florida, where there is a large aging population, medical cannabis is even more important," Nison said. "Many would like to use it as a safer alternative to commonly prescribed addicting and deadly medications. With so many potential patients in Florida, we're eager to be able to bring our experience and use our food-grade facilities to produce a safe and reliable medicine for them."
There's more coming down the road!

Did You Know? Little Known Facts in the Medical Marijuana Debate
This from a website I found the other day...pretty interesting. Give it a look. http://medicalmarijuana.procon.org/
Marijuana is classified as a Schedule 1 drug by the 1970 Controlled Substances Act, meaning it is considered to have a "high potential for abuse," "no currently accepted medical use," and "a lack of accepted safety." Rescheduling marijuana to the less restrictive Schedule II or III (45 KB) remains a contentious issue.
The University of Mississippi has grown marijuana (including a placebo with virtually no THC) for US government-approved research since 1968. Each year the university grows 1.5 acres, 6.5 acres, or none, depending upon demand.
The first cannabis-based prescription medicine, Sativex, was launched in the United Kingdom on June 21, 2010. Sativex is a mouth spray approved to treat spasticity in patients with Multiple Sclerosis. Marinol, a synthetic version of delta-9-THC, a chemical which appears naturally in the marijuana plant, was approved in the United States in 1985.
Eight of the 10 states that had legalized medical marijuana by 2006 saw a decrease in teen use of marijuana from 1999 to 2006.
Smoked or inhaled marijuana takes only a few minutes to reach the brain, where a series of cellular reactions occur that ultimately produce the "high" feeling. When eating or drinking marijuana, this process can take up to an hour.
When swallowing marijuana (in teas, brownies, etc.), the main active ingredient, Delta-9-THC, is transformed by the liver into the more psychoactively powerful Delta-11-THC.
In 1978 the US government started the Compassionate Investigational New Drug (IND) program. Although closed for new patients in 1991, it still supplies 320-360 marijuana cigarettes monthly to each of the four seriously ill patients remaining in the program.
According to FDA data obtained by our filing of a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request, marijuana was not reported as a primary cause of death at all between Jan. 1, 1997 to June 30, 2005 (the time for which the data were available).
The US Department of Justice, in an Oct. 19, 2009 memo, advised federal prosecutors not to target medical marijuana patients whose actions are in compliance with the law in states that have legalized medical marijuana.
Marijuana contains over 400 different identifiable chemical constituents, including steroids and Vitamin A.
The British Lung Foundation reported in Nov. 2002 that 3-4 marijuana cigarettes a day are as dangerous to the lungs as 20 or more tobacco cigarettes a day.
A UCLA study presented on May 24, 2006 found no association between marijuana and lung cancer, and it suggested that marijuana may even have "some protective effect."
Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Administrative Law Judge Mary Ellen Bittner ruled on Feb. 12, 2007 that "there is currently an inadequate supply of marijuana available for research purposes."
The 1999 Institute of Medicine (IOM) report, commissioned by the US government, recommended that under certain narrow conditions marijuana should be medically available to some patients, even though "numerous studies suggest that marijuana smoke is an important risk factor in the development of respiratory disease." Read more about the report's conclusions.
Speaking of restrictions...
FL holds meetings for the roll out of medical marijuana (a Charlotte’s Web type strain only) on Monday to a packed house. Everybody and their brother were crammed into hear what the unfolding plan will be.
As a start, FL regulators have specific mindsets that will be adhered to, at least in the initial phases. Approximately 41 growers within the state meet the rigid guidelines set forth by the regulators. Potential growers/nurseries must have 30 years of operational growing in FL and will be selected by a lottery.
Other proposed criteria:
• State divided into 5 regions with 1 grower per region
• If more than 1 grower has applied in a region, there will be a lottery as the selection process
• If selected, company has 30 days to pay $150,000 for license and put up a $5,000,000 bond
• When licensed, each company will have 120 days to begin dispensing the medicine or lose its license
• Plants must contain no more than 0.8 percent THC or less than 10 percent CBD — or all of the product would be destroyed
• Plants must be planted from the same seeds and cuttings and harvested at the same time then tested
• The law envisions growers becoming store owners, creating a series of dispensaries in each region of the state. The proposed rules suggest their stores be open at least 30 hours a week, and no later than 10 p.m. and the products they sell are limited: no edible cannabis products, such as cookies or candy, and no cigarettes
Here’s a link to the rest of the story…
http://www.tampabay.com/news/politics/stateroundup/florida-holds-first-hearing-on-medical-marijuana-rules/2187464
FL has a whopping 70-80% approval rating for medical marijuana. 84% of seniors living in FL approve of MMJ, but that rate drops off significantly when asked for approval as recreational.
I have no doubt that the proposed MMJ amendment will pass this NOV. Hopefully, this will allow qualified growers be able to produce.
MMJ is a must. Recreational….baby steps, baby steps.
Hopefully, TRTC can partner with a selected grower in FL. Personally, I’d like to see Derek partner with the Stanley’s in CO and then grow to control MMJ nationally. JMHO

Sko
Here's an interesting article about how the FDA is looking into re-scheduling marijuana. It was linked to an FDA news watch I subscribe to at work.
http://www.marketoracle.co.uk/Article46175.html
Of course, it's politics as usual. Our elected officials, both Dems and Reps, are seeing the light with elections looming in the not to distant future. But lobbyists for the prison industrial complex are in full force to keep MJ as a schedule 1 so they don't loose out on overcrowding populations and more gov't appropriations.
Long and short of it, The DEA has been petitioned again to reclassify MJ. The FDA plays a major role in the decision process for reclassification since they are the entity that says whether or not the drug has high addictive qualities and/or any known medical use. With 20+ states already allowing MMJ, and more states following, along with the general population's increased approval of MMJ, the FDA is starting to see the writing on the wall. In 2001 and again in 2006 the FDA recommended that MJ stay a schedule 1 drug. I'm hoping this review will be much more positive.
There are synthetic MJ drugs on the market, but not any derived from botanicals. However, that is changing with clinical trials already in the making. The process, however, for clinicals to take place is still painstakingly slow, and uses 3 additional and separate gov't agencies to initiate the trial 1) DEA 2) NIDA and 3) NIH.
For more reading on how the FDA is looking at MMJ follow this link.
http://www.fda.gov/drugs/developmentapprovalprocess/ucm401879.htm
I'm certainly not advocating that the FDA be involved. They have a strong relationship with big Pharma and that may well be an inherent barrier rather than a boon for the sector. But this is how the reclassification is going to go down...whether we like it or not.
If I'm not mistaken, the Lewis' have only owned Palm Creek Produce for 2 years.
Yesterday's permit loss was, to say bluntly, a swift kick in the nuts! High hopes shattered, 0fer2.
However, in retrospect, we just didn't have enough 'Nevada' in us for Clark County. They questioned our percentages of ownership. I believe they were not impressed. In the south it's called the "good ol' boy network". We weren't a good ol' boy, especially when it got down to the wire.
The dispensaries are going to be the MMJ welcome mat or storefronts to residents of the state and county and to all the visiting MMJ cardholders from other states. The board wanted your trusted, friendly locals with community ties getting that fame and money. At least for the majority of the dispensaries IMO.
But now comes the cultivation and production of the product. The GMs, Fords and Chryslers now all have to get to the dealers! Who's making the killing here? The dealers or the manufacturers? I've seen plenty of car dealers go out of business, but the big three are still kickin'!
Cultivation and production facilities are in the background. We don't have to be the face for Nevada or Clark County. We just have to supply the faces...all 18 of them in CC alone.
Let's hope we can put on a better face on for the presentation to the board. I don't think Rory Reid is the answer. He's a politician or politician wannanbe that happens to be a lawyer. And as Jeffery Pelt said to Jack Ryan in "The Hunt for Red October"..."Listen, I'm a politician which means I'm a cheat and a liar, and when I'm not kissing babies I'm stealing their lollipops. " But, then again, the commissioners are politicians also. Let's see which ones got lollipops. When politics is involved, there's a lot of grease flowing!
And lastly, we need to defend and promote our position that we are what we are...a publicly traded company seeking a MMJ grow license in the USA! If this is to be an ongoing issue, it needs to nipped in the bud here or it will follow to every other county or state in the nation.
This is just my surmise of what happened this week along with concerns I have.
Still long, but formulating a new plan of attack! $TRTC
Sko
Thanks. I was hoping someone else was listening to keep me straight. Certainly not intended to misinform.
I heard the chairman of the committee say that right after tomorrows applicants are done, they are going to award permits by locations. He suggested, not mandated, that all applicants for a said location or township (however it is divided)can be there so if anyone on the committee has any last questions or there needs to be something addressed that all will have a fair opportunity to do so.
Did anyone else catch this? This aired about 15-20 minutes before TRTC did their presentation today.
