Another thing to remember is that a patent only protects you if you are willing to spend the time and more importantly the money required to defend it. Since, RCPI is in chapter 7 bankruptcy, it is doubtful that the patent will be defended. It can be very expensive and take years in court and you can still lose.
They may or may not be infringing on the patent. If I recall correctly, the patent only covers the method of producing the anatabine. Also, are there international patents or only a U.S. patent? The same for the trademark or copyright for the name Anatabloc. It may be perfectly legal for Hydrapharm to manufacture and sell Anatabloc overseas, but not here, unless they buy the IP rights. I have aleady given up on the stock and sold all of my shares at a big loss, so I personally hope that they continue to make Anatabloc available here for my personal use and for friends and relatives that have also benefited from it.
I finally got out of HNSS. The one share traded today was mine. That is all that I had left after all of the reverse splits and its cost basis was a little over $21,000. I sold it for .25 and the cost of the sale was .25, so I wound up with zero. I am happy though because I don't have to look at the stock anymore and wonder how I'm going to get out. It is over for me and I hope I have learned an expensive lesson. Be very careful which stocks you chose to average down on. It can get very expensive.
For those of you who have been using Anatabloc for arthritis, do a web search on "boron and arthritis". I think that you will find interesting and useful information.
You were probably quoted the $99.99 price, but it is available for $79.99 if you use autoship. It is also available for $79.99 online from Lucky Vitamin.
Check your math. 200 at $60 is 30 cents per pill. 300 at $80 is about 27 cents per pill. You didn't get a good deal.
INAR shares posted to my Fidelity account today. I now have all the INAR shares that I should.
I am with Fidelity and am still waiting for INAR shares.
It seems like any brokerage other than Zecco and TDA will allow trades, but none of them will accept transfers of HNSS. Before you open an account, call and ask if they allow trades in penny stocks and HNSS in particular. If you have HNSS in either Zecco or TDA, they will accept sell orders for HNSS only over the phone.
Zecco will not trade HNSS, either. Zecco and TDA both use Penson as their clearing house. Penson seems to be the common denominator in the trading problems that people are having with Zecco and TDA.
I also have an E*trade account now and will start doing my penny stock trading with them and eventually, I will hopefully be able to sell my HNSS in my Zecco account for a profit. Then I'll close my Zecco account. They have been way more trouble than they are worth.
Zecco was the first brokerage to stop trading HNSS and they are still not trading. Zecco and TD Ameritrade both use Penson as their clearing house. E*Trade and Fidelity will allow trading but will not or can not (depending on who you talk to) accept HNSS transfers. I know, I tried.
I tried to transfer to Fidelity and to E*Trade. Neither one would accept them. I just got a call today from E*Trade and was told that the problem is that the TA will not transfer the shares. E*Trade accepted another penny stock that I have with no problem. I don't know the answer to this problem, but I suspect that it is something that has to be addressed by HNSS management. I would really like to see a PR acknowledging the problem and their plan for fixing it.
Unfortunately, I'm in the same boat. I have over 4 million shares in accounts at TDA and Zecco. I have been unable to find a brokerage that will let me transfer penny stocks. I even opened an E*Trade account because when I talked to customer service, I was told that their policy was to not accept penny stocks, but that sometimes they slip through and he thought it was worth a try. I just got notified that the transfer was rejected. I called and pled my case, to no avail. I'm stuck with stocks that I can't trade or transfer. Both TDA and Zecco use Penson. I hope that this situation can get cleared up soon.
Here is an update on my attempts to transfer my HNSS shares. Still no luck. Originally, Fidelity accepted them and then TDAmeritrade pulled them back, saying that they had transferred them in error because they didn't have the shares. When TD located the stocks at Penson and then tried to transfer them, Fidelity refused the transfer. I contacted Fidelity and was told that they had just changed their policy and that they would not accept a transfer of a stock that was less than .75 share price, but that I could trade sub-penny stocks with no problem. I called E*Trade and asked if they would accept the transfer of HNSS. They said no, they do not accept penny stock transfers, but that I could trade penny stocks, once I opened an account. Does anyone have a suggestion about which brokerage I might be able to get my shares transferred to? I'm holding over 4 million shares that I can't do anything with.
Thanks for any suggestions.
When Zecco stopped allowing trades in HNSS, I opened a TDAmeritrade account and had my Zecco account transferred. Zecco charged $50 to do the transfer. Then, TDAmeritrade stopped trading for HNSS, so I opened a Fidelity account and had TDAmeritrade transfer my holdings to Fidelity. TD charged me $75 for that transfer. At first everything seemed okay, but about two weeks after opening my Fidelity account, my HNSS shares disappeared from my account. I called Fidelity and was told that I had to contact TDAmeritrade because they had reclaimed them because they had transferred them in error. I contacted TDAmeritrade and they said that they never had my shares, even though they had shown in my account. To make a long story short, Penson never transferred any of my HNSS shares until they were called several times by tdmeritrade to locate the "missing" shares. When Penson located them they put them back into my Zecco account. So, I'm now back to were I was over two months ago. I have to give TDAmeritrade credit for helping me sort this out and they say that my shares should be transferred to Fidelity with no further charges. It should take at least ten days. I'll post back with an update in a couple of weeks.
Update on my HNSS shares transfer. Penson finally delivered my shares, but they delivered them to my old Zecco account. TDAmeritrade is requesting that they be transfered again to them and they will transfer them to Fidelity. Since I have already paid for these transfers before, I have been told that I won't be charged again. I will update again in about a week, to let you know if it all works out.
I think that if I were you, I would still do the transfer. I expect to eventually have my shares back into either my old account or my new Fidelity account. So far there hasn't been any doubt from anyone that I own the shares, it is just a problem of Penson not delivering. I would hate to have my shares in an account that doesn't allow me to trade, if or when HNSS decides to move up. It is better to get it sorted out now, while the stock is low.
I have been trying to transfer over 4 million shares of HNSS to Fidelity from TDAmeritrade for over two months. Fidelity says that they haven't received them from TDAmeritrade. TDAmeritrade says that Penson still has them. Penson tells TDAmeritrade that they will transfer and nothing happens. My 4 million shares are still not in any of my accounts. Penson is for some reason unable to supply the shares. I recommend that anyone still using Zecco or TDAmeritrade (they both use Penson as their clearing house) transfer to a brokerage that doesn't use Penson. I switched to Fidelity because both Zecco and TDAmeritrade stopped allowing any trades in HNSS.
