Anyone know why COOP trading has frozen, and for how long this will last?
I'm just curious what will be the excuse given if/when it doesn't pay out (AGAIN) and when the new target will be set. Most of all I'd like this pattern to stop playing out.
With that in mind, off to work I go to make actual money.
Have a great day everyone, stay healthy and safe.

Hello folks,
Hope all are well. It appears there is new hope for escrows on this board, yet again, and this time the numbers being thrown around are astronomical. What are people's opinion of when?
Do you suppose it could have been just a bad batch of shellfish?
Hi Royal.
Hate to rain on your parade...
1. It won't happen. It's ALWAYS about to happen. Never happens anyway.
2. To avoid confusion, "next" Monday would be April 1. "This" Monday would be March 24 in American vernacular. it doesn't make much sense I agree, but that's how we Americans refer to "this", and "next" days of the week.
Have a great weekend. See you all in a month or two.
Best,
V
Hey everyone.
Wow, It's been a long time. I see I haven't missed anything and no one has been paid. (No, I don't believe AZ was paid, doesn't make sense).
I'm so glad I'm not wasting my time here anymore. No offense against anyone, many of you are truly swell, I'm just happy not to be focused on this anymore. I should have quit ten years ago when my friends did.
Anyway, have a great 2025 guys. Please focus on health, much more important than money.
Best,
Vodka
Chiming in on the "Investments are or are not liabilities" convo.
.... doesn't it depend on whether the sale value of the asset could wipe out any debt owed on the purchase of said asset? For instance, If I buy a house for $1 million, and I currently still owe $800K on the loan, but the market has dropped so now the house is worth just $750K, that's clearly a liability. But if the market skyrockets and the house is now worth $1.5 million, how is that not an asset?
Net loss or net gain from sale...
Maybe I'm being daft, IDK.
Vodka
Don't assume what I believe or don't, you lose credibility that way.
If I ask someone details about their theory, it doesn't mean I'm 100% sold on their theory. Please put the drink down.
Thank you
How much per P?
Thank you in advance.

I see the escrow money return chatter and excitement has greatly simmered down in the last week. Royal and several others were sure (again) of imminent payout. What changed?
FYI Folks, If you zoom out and look at the COOP chart it's up 1200% over 12 years. Lets imagine that growth slows by half, that it grows just 600% every 12 years ("just" lol). A $100K investment now would be about $2 Million in just two decades. I'm waiting for the 1% chance we get something back from escrows, but in the meantime, this is a fantastic stock to invest in if you didn't already notice.
Have great day folks!

"I've seen you over the past year pushing crypto, obviously you're excited over it. "
- I seek never to "push", only to inform. And I'm not "excited" over it, I just see from watching and studying since 2017 that it is inevitable.
"it's (gold) NOT supposed to be an investment, but rather insurance"
- Excellent point, because that it is, but many see it as an investment. Good on you for eyeing the difference.
"gold and silver have been valued for 5000 years"
- Yes, and the vast majority of that time was vastly less technological than today is. Once we went to cars, we'll never go back to horse and buggy. Once we went to internet, we'll never go back to no internet. And now that we can something with many of the good qualities of gold without the hinderances of gold, we will not go back. The move toward digitization of all assets is happening at full speed as we speak, I promise you that. See what Chainlink is doing.
"with ledgers everywhere and in everyone's hands, it (Bitcoin) cannot be manipulated?"
- There is some concern that in 10-20 years, quantum computing could be a threat, but estimates for Bitcoin price at that time are in the multiple millions, and one would be wise to redistribute their profits before that.
"why is it that Bitcoin is also displayed visually as a shiny gold coin?"
- Because we humans are simple creatures with primitive minds and can't fully grasp value that doesn't look at all like value we're already familiar with. So people make pictures newbies can relate to because explaining blockchain ledgers is not going to stick for most.
"I don't even really trust my BANK to be there if worse comes to worse"
- Very wise, and no one should.
"My COOP stock sits in Charles Schwab, and I feel the risk is low, but what if Schwab folded unexpectedly?"
- Excellent point. Schwab is your 3rd party custodian you must have faith in, and in that you've just pitched Bitcoin. Bitcoin can be owned and transferred to the other side of the planet for next to free, nearly instantaneously, and can be done without the need for a 3rd party.
"And Blackrock? Excuse me, for feeling less than warm about them"
- Well duh lol. Of course not, they're the devil. That's irrelevant. They have power, control, and influence over the world's financial culture, and THAT is the point. They will always win. I'm not advising you love them, but it's wise to follow what they're doing.
"spread your risk around"
- 100% agreed
----------------------------------
Thanks for your thoughts.
I see a lot of people excited about the recent performance of Gold. Well I'm not here to pour cold water on anyone's investment, but I think it's good to look at everything in perspective. In the last 30 years this is how these assets have increased in price:
Gold: 5X
Exxon: 10X
Microsoft: 20X
Apple: 100X
And interestingly if you just look at the last ten years, the best overall investment has been (drum roll please)........
BITCOIN!
Yes, you read that correctly.
Over the past year, the two best stocks have been Nvidia and Microstrategy. Microstrategy is no surprise as it's basically a bet on Bitcoin as Michael Saylor has made MSTR predominantly a Bitcoin development company, and MSTR trades at a premium to Bitcoin.
Regarding gold, one should keep in mind that the only reason we value it is because it's (supposedly) scarce. However it's generally understood that the amount we've mined is just 1% of what's mineable in the land and sea. Think about it- If the price of gold goes up enough, they'll just start new gold mines and ramp up operations at existing mines, thereby increasing supply and thus bringing cost back down.
Bitcoin on the other hand is cryptographically limited to 21 million. By "cryptographically", what that means is that in order to produce more than 21 million, you would need to change how math itself works, for example you would need the power to make it so that 1+1 no longer equaled 2. In other words, 21 million is the hard cap limit.
Blackrock is investing in Bitcoin because it sees the USD collapsing as our government's 35 Trillion dollar debt is realistically not payable and default is just a matter of time.
Have a great day folks!
Vodka-
Just bought $1,500 COOP. F the escrows that never pan out, lets' go COOP!
Delivering no information is less harmful than delivering false information. Currently we don't know if the information from AZ is true or false, and all are welcome to their opinions. But if his remarks turn out to be false, then he has done a greater harm than the person who contributed nothing.
Unfortunately I don't believe we'll ever know. After 15 years, those making claims have proven they can keep pushing the goal posts back seemingly infinitely.
I don't believe we get paid, I give it 3% chance of anything significant. But I've bought lotto tickets with a smaller chance of recovery, thus I still check up here once a week.
Good luck folks.
V
"He could EASILY lay everything out.".....
Well, technically he could only easily lay everything out if he for sure had the data and info. That has to be in question at this point.
Respectfully, I don't think you are so on point regarding your ability to determine personality and intent in other humans.
1. I absolutely do NOT "act like (I) feel sorry for people who believe we escrow will get paid", if they too are pushing the unproveable narrative. My point, is now and has always been, that I do not like or respect disingenuous or dishonest behavior and/or commentary.
2. I am not "challenging" you to a bet, rather I am simply offering one as a way for you to prove your "belief". It's a very good offer I've made you whereby I risk twice as much money as you if I'm wrong, and I think extremely sportsman-like of me.
3. I too hope you are right. In that way we are NOT different as you claim, but the same. It is the building hope for a something that never arrives that I think is a little criminal.
Best to you and to all. I will continue to read occasionally, post rarely, and focus on other monetary opportunities.
Vodka.
While "649" may be an exaggeration, the number of wrong/false claims/predictions of payment is still quite staggering. The pattern I observed is the following:
A. For the first 10-12 years of this saga, the seriously believed claims/predictions (either by strongly influential individuals or multiple influential individuals) were posted quarterly, that is on average four times per year, every year.
B. For the last 4-6 years such claims/predictions by such persons have occurred twice a year each year on average, with end of each year always being one of those prediction dates.
C. This means conservatively speaking we're looking at 52 false/wrong prediction dates.
"What a joke you are!"
I'll make you a deal: If we get paid prior to the end of 2024 (which the people you believe say we will), I will give you $2000. If we don't get paid prior to the end of 2024, you only give me $1000.
If you are not completely full of horse manure you will take this deal, as under the agreement my monetary risk is twice yours. I have offered similar deals to many "believers" over the years and none have taken it, which tells me there is mass-delusion taking place, a sad affair to be sure.
The deal details:
1. We exchange contact info and an email is sent from me to you with the deal details.
2. Payment is made via Zelle or Venmo by end of day January 2, 2025.
3. What is meant by "if we get paid": We (all persons who signed releases by the 2012 date) must have received (no later than eoy Dec-31-2024) a minimum of $2 per WAMUQ, AND $500 per WAMPQ they own. This can be in the form of cash, stocks, or any other form so long as that minimum dollar figure is met.
Please let me know when you are ready to proceed with forming this agreement and we can move forward to next steps.
Sincerely,
Vodka-
Good Morning all Newbies to the COOP/WAMU/WMIH Ihub message board,
If you are newly discovering this board or have recently joined, you may have your spirits buoyed by the excited discussion of the possibility of "escrow returns", that is money coming to you for your previously possessed WMIH/WAMU stock shares. I regret to inform you that such discussion/hype is created aggressively every six months on average and creates a great amount of damage to the hearts and minds of those here who were wronged, raising hopes only to dash them later. The theories of why "this is the time" are numerous and ever-changing, and sound like good argument, but nevertheless, always come up short in the end.
Please keep your expectations tempered, definitely don't make any new financial plans or decisions, and do go about your life in the same fashion as always, I.E... "keep your day-job", as they say.
When this period passes, you will witness no accountability on the part of the false claim makers, no shame, no regret, no remorse for leading many astray.
It's odd to me that this type of behavior is allowed, but sadly it is.
Sidenote: There are also those on here who post literally a dozen times a day, every single day debating those posters I describe above, and they too are suspect as the shear amount of time they spend can find no justification. Like politics, it is healthiest to stay calm and stay central, and never let your emotions form your opinions or make your decisions.
Best of health to everyone, and I hope it is a beautiful weekend wherever you are.
Vodka
Well according to literally thousands of posts by hopefuls like you we should have been paid for our escrows years ago, and every two months the claim is renewed that it's about to happen LMAO, so maybe don't throw stones in glass houses.
Hi folks,
Personally, if I had already gotten all my money from WAMU returns I would, not still be on here multiple times a week for the last 1-2 years, no, I'd be gone except to make the occasional reassuring comment every few months. It doesn't make sense. Jus Sayin.
You are often called a "basher". My guess from minimal following is that you don't hold escrow markers. I don't know why you spend so much time on here antagonizing these people, the hopeful. It seems a waste of time and energy, but I don't believe the conspiracy theory that you're being "paid" to bash as they say, because you doing so can't change end results, so it would be wasted expense, that's illogical.
Aside, your basic premise that massive escrow related payments won't come has a historical advantage of being correct since we've had approximately 60 dates that have failed as there is on average a new date proposed 4 times per year.
It seems to me that there's a lot of bs going on here anyway you cut it.
Very helpful. Thank you UpTick.
Have a great weekend folks.

So whats the final verdict on the random deposits of $0.01/02 some people are seeing in their accounts? Nothing???
thanks
I have Etrade and nothing so far.... What part of the website and/or in what category is the $0.01 showing up? Transactions??? Stock page? Full portfolio??
TIA
I didn't even know this stock existed back then.
I saw $1.2 Million showed up in my Etrade account early this morning! Sadly I woke up shortly after.
Have a great evening everyone, I'll check in again in May, history says everyone will still be sitting around waiting.
Vodka.
"Fact is, we just dont know how this will all shake out. I think we are very close to finding out though"-
We will only "know" if we get paid soon as predicted, that will be an affirmation of the optimal ending. However, If we don't get paid this month then speculation will continue indefinitely.
I do not see any development whereby escrow payment does NOT come to us in the next couple months and everyone just accepts that's the end. I believe even if some voice of authority makes a written statement of confirmation of no payment coming to escrow holders that immediately following that statement there will be posters postulating that that particular voice is not important and that (redirecting) we haven't heard from X (separate random person).
Hope to be wrong as always, but history...
Have a great Tuesday folks!

How is it not one person (claiming for the last 15 years escrows will pay) has come forward and said on this board, "The naysayers have a right to feel and to espouse doubt after every single one of the dozens of theories and claims we have made have proven incorrect. While annoying to have to argue our points against the naysayers, we did put this on ourselves by making so many strong claims that didn't pan out. I feel deep shame for misleading people time and time again, but genuinely feel/know that I'm right and THIS time it really will pan out and I promise to never post again if I'm wrong."?
Why haven't we heard that?
Why argue in the first place if posting can't change things one way or the other? Why not just let time unfold and hope people forget about you if we never get paid, or come back and say "I told you so" if proven correct one day? I don't get the motivation, especially AZ... why not just go off, enjoy the money he's already gotten, and come back later when we've been paid with an "I told you so"???
There's a fascinating posting culture on this board, probably typical of other finance boards, but still mysterious.
The current situation we find ourselves in is such:
-A strong percentage of regular posters believe payment re escrow markers is very imminent.
-While this has happened a couple times a year for the last 15 years, reading the latest posts I would classify the mood this time as "very sure", probably in the top 5 of roughly 30 such instances in terms of the general posting crowd's surety of payout.
-As such one would expect non-stop posting from all different members about all different aspects of what is to come or what may be, after all there is sometimes non-stop posting about much less exciting developments.
-Yet, mysteriously, a bit of a quite has developed. If you calculate how many posts per hour at various different times or events, right now is surprisingly slow if you consider many posters are imminently expecting an event, and as a psych person I find that fascinating. So whats the reason? I see three possibilities:
1. Everyone is so sure of payout there's not much more to say, but just sit and wait for it to manifest.
2. Subconsciously there is reasonable trepidation that this is another disappointing false alarm and everyone is holding their breath.
3. A combination of 1 and 2.
As I am less a contributor, and more an observer of behavior of the posters here, I'd love to hear from you all, those who often post 30 times a day, every day, but now are less active. Please share your reason for slowed posting behavior.
TIA

It is my belief that an objective outsider viewing this situation from a historical perspective would determine your guess is a good bet. I hold a decent portion of P's, so would love you to be wrong. However, if there were a way to take a financial position on the outcome of this month, I would put $5,000 down on you being right.
Thanks for the response Royal
Could anyone beside Royal tell me what you/everyone else is expecting back? I have 300P's, no U's.
Greatly appreciated.
Side note: YES, I've made it abundantly clear I think there is only a 5% chance of anything coming back based on history of false alarms. But 5% means I have a foot holding the door open. I'm not here to pick fights, I've got a life, I don't do that sh1t.
Royal,
Dude, I'm on here once every three weeks. 19 of what to 1 of what?
And by the way, why the fuc# would I "try to aggravate" anyone? How does that get me any f'n answers? Jesus f'n Christ, be better at reading people or stop trying to do it.
IF...IF IF, it is NOT 75/25 to the end, and the U's get the bulk rather than the P's, what is the current estimate of per/P in $? I can't figure out how much people are expecting will come back to escrows in total, nor how the divide goes re: P vs U.
I hold no U's, just 300 P's.
"it looks like a reveal is coming soon of who xxxx is!"
I absolutely wouldn't expect that. I believe there will never be an answer given for that. Love to be wrong, but thats the pattern.
Because if so I'd come away with a mere $25K... not exactly a windfall. Can anyone expand on what "one to one" means?
Thanks in advance!
