If I watch one network, it's CNBC.
When I'm "on the road" I make it a point to read local papers and watch the local news stations.
Hotels quit the free newspapers (Covid was the excuse) but now they seem to be coming back. When I grab one in the lobby I always try to make it a point to thank the folks at the counter - trying on my part to deliver positive feedback!
CNN was a really great network at the beginning. But I rarely watch it anymore, for the exact same reason I don't follow Fox News.
The one show I try never to miss though is Fareed Zakaria. Now that's a good show.
Is it my imagination, or does there really seem to be a correlation between flat earthers and the Trumpeteers?
"even the astronauts will tell you they never went to the moon"
I had the privilege of meeting Jim Lovell when he was with Centel Corp. While he didn't walk on the moon, he traveled to it twice.
I actually got to know Eugene Cernan. It wasn't widely known at the time, but he nearly died on the Gemini 9 EVA. He also walked on the moon, of that there is no doubt.
Lol, all one has to do is learn to navigate.
Rhumb line is the simplest method but not the most efficient, because following a rhumb line will result in a loxodrome - a curving path. The reason for that is a spherical Earth.
Great circle navigation is the most efficient as it produces the shortest path between any two points on a sphere. Flying a path that is a circle segment will result in a geodesic - a straight arcing path between two points with the maximum arc at the mid-point. Again, the reason for that is a spherical Earth.
The shortest path between any two points on a sphere is part of a circle segment. If a Great Circle is drawn out on a flat map, it produces a sinusoidal graph with a period equal to the sphere's circumference and equal amplitudes that are determined by my path's inclination to the equator of that sphere. Why would a circle graph out as a sine wave? Because the flat map is an erroneous presentation.
An Example: Bangor, Maine is the closest major U.S. city to the continent of Africa. If I leave Bangor to fly to Tangier, Morocco I depart Bangor with a northerly vector even though Tangier lies considerably south of Bangor! The reason is because the maximum amplitude of the sine my circle graphs out on the flat map lies between those two points. If I fly that exact same great circle the other way, say to El Paso, Tx. I'll fly to the southwest and the path will graph out much straighter on the flat map as the amplitude of the sine is decreasing as I fly in that direction.
Yeah... And I suppose the Earth is flat as well?
Not just NFLX. GOOG, META and the QQQ getting dragged out to the woodshed as well.
My thinking was that I wouldn't have minded owning NFLX below $150. I was either going to own it very cheap, or pocket the money.
But SNAP doesn't make money so I'm not sure I would want to own it, so I'm not going to play it. My personal rule is only to sell puts at a level where I would like to own the underlying.
But if you want to play SNAP options into earnings, writing puts would be the way to do it as the I.V. is very elevated.
You gotta pay attention to that implied volatility. I took a class once at the CBOE (they were free, you just had to pay your own expenses).
TD Ameritrade actually required that in the earlier days to qualify for anything beyond Level I options.
I was really lucky as the class lead teacher now runs this company: https://www.tastytrade.com/concepts-strategies/implied-volatility
I don't think the button was ever labeled "Delete". But, then again, probably best not to rely strictly on my memory...
Private messages can't be "removed" (actually no message is ever actually "removed", they're only hidden). PMs are removed from your mailbox by archiving or filing.
Public messages can be "removed" from your mailbox but that does not remove them from the public message boards where they originally appeared. They can also be filed.
I'm thinking it's always been that way.
Unfortunately, it's most likely they'll be red. Options were highly inflated on NFLX today due to excessive implied volatility.
Once earnings came out that I.V. disappears. But it won't be reflected until the options re-price after tomorrow's open.
Good luck!
There's no possible way a long straddle can win. NFLX had the most ridiculously priced options this afternoon I've really ever seen.
I sold $126 and $136 puts for this coming Friday. I can't believe people were actually bidding on those...
It makes no sense that Israel would keep an oil find secret.
All one has to do is look at their handling of the East Mediterranean gas fields. They are very public and open about proven and potential reserves, and are participants in the EastMed Gas Forum.
In today's geo-political climate if there is oil at the MJ-2 site, both Zion Oil and the State of Israel would be fully incentivized to bring production on line as soon as possible.
On the other hand, if there is no oil at the MJ-2 site the incentive for Zion Oil's board would be to just shut up and drag the process out for as long as the Israelis will let them get away with it.
Which of those two scenarios seems to be in play?
Products like these are an incredibly bad idea. They're simply providing a method for people to place short term bets on the direction of share price movement - just straight up gambling.
And they way they are structured, they must lose money over time. They'll have to reverse split those funds at least semiannually, if not quarterly.

Wow, links to 25 bitchute videos.
I can't think of any faster way to get stupid...
Amazing how people misinterpreted that speech as a challenge to go to the moon when everyone knows that JFK is smart enough to know the Earth is flat and no one can get through the "Dome" anyway.
Well, duh... It's probably pretty obvious isn't it?
JFK told them to go weed the garden!
I'm thinking there's a segment of the population whom you could tell that the servers are bolted to the bottom of the "dome" and the clouds are only there for camouflage and they would have no doubt that it's true...
I just listened to some excerpts of the Cassidy Hutchinson testimony. The Secret Service agents did the right thing.
But boy, I almost wish the agents would have gone ahead and taken him to the Capitol. That would have removed any doubt from the public's mind that it was Trump's intention to lead an insurrection that day. He could be sharing a cell with Jacob Chansley by now...
Maybe try asking your doctor about anti-hallucinogenic treatments?

A gallon!?! I haven't consumed anywhere near that amount of Worcestershire sauce in my entire lifetime!
They already do: https://www.fns.usda.gov/snap/supplemental-nutrition-assistance-program

No, I didn't hear about the Worcestershire sauce. But I watch my sodium so, I've kind of had to lay off it myself.
Well, I don't disagree with that. Anything transported is going to carry that tax burden indirectly.
But we need a little "demand destruction" in the energy markets. Higher prices is the most market efficient way to accomplish that. And reduced consumption has an intangible bonus in regard to climate change, etc.
"Evidently Nancy disapproves."
Yeah, and apparently so does Sluggo:
If you think about it, it's one of the fairest taxes there is. If you are not a consumer, you don't pay it. And it penalizes those who waste the commodity.
Inflation is the problem. We need demand to go down, subsidizing consumption is not going to work.
Good - He's got a healthy work force then, doesn't he?
CLF is looking very attractive down here. I sold tomorrow's $15.50 puts for 18 cents. That creates a position in the stock at $15.32.
Or I just get to keep the money...
This is terrifically irresponsible policy:

Note the moderator list is in the format that premium boards use - a lead moderator with a list of assistants.
It's the only Stock/ETF board I notice it on.
Edit: That was fast! Looks like it's fixed!!
Why shouldn't it be? What is inaccurate??
It's important to play with your kids:
I can think of a couple of my elementary school teachers - Had they been armed back then, I wouldn't be here typing this today!
Lol, you need to get out and explore the real world a little more...

I'm using a Chrome Browser on a Windows Vista machine.
I think I see what's going on.
It's "line wrapping" on the smaller screen. The geeks will know what I mean.
Update: I just looked at the I-Pad and now it's back to single line.
Still double lines on the Android. I sent a pic by PM.
I see the same thing using Chrome on an Android Tablet.
Also see it using Safari on an I-Pad.
On the Windows desktop they look a little wider than before, but not using two lines.
