It makes no sense that Israel would keep an oil find secret.

All one has to do is look at their handling of the East Mediterranean gas fields. They are very public and open about proven and potential reserves, and are participants in the EastMed Gas Forum.

In today's geo-political climate if there is oil at the MJ-2 site, both Zion Oil and the State of Israel would be fully incentivized to bring production on line as soon as possible.

On the other hand, if there is no oil at the MJ-2 site the incentive for Zion Oil's board would be to just shut up and drag the process out for as long as the Israelis will let them get away with it.

Which of those two scenarios seems to be in play?
