Thank you, Eagle.
Accuracy is very important.
You're totally right that if Lebed promoted shorting ataround .34 ANY ONE OF his followers COULD HAVE made UP TO 50% on shorting this stock. Depending of course on exactly when they got in and exactly when they got out. As a note, the stock wasn't a deathslide down to .16 from .34, it had some fluctuations. In fact, the day of the 14 Jan communique from Lebed, the stock actually went UP to 0.23 and so some of the shorters may have had to cover at some point depending on when they got in.
When I said nothing had changed in the stock price since Lebed's alert I thought I made it clear enough I was talking about the alert of 14 Jan. Two weeks ago.
It seems like I have been drawn into a discussion about shorting and short squeezes and such and to be clear, this is not something I personally do and I am not even going to pretend I understand all the ins and outs.
If there is anyone else trying to understand what is happening when bigtime OTC players like Sykes and Lebed get involved in shorting a stock, here are a couple of definitions:
SHORT:
http://www.investopedia.com/terms/s/short.asp
SHORT SQUEEZE, from Investopedia:
http://www.investopedia.com/terms/s/shortsqueeze.asp
Good luck to all.
I would also tend to agree with this assessment. My opinion only.
Thanks for posting.
That's what I wanted, a link.
There you have it. Lebed did say this will go to 0.01. On 14 January 2011. Two weeks ago.
Here's the link again in case anyone missed it:
http://stockreads.com/Stock-Newsletter.aspx?id=39970
Up to investors to decide what to do with that data. Add this to the other data you have collected on this company.
Note: this article is dated 14 January. As of Friday, 28 January, CPOW stock was still around the same price per share as it was on the 14th when Lebed urged all of his shorters to jump all over this opportunity. In fact, at the time of writing, the stock was at .167 per Lebed. And last close on Friday was .1611. It was trading on Friday between .16 and .172. That's Friday, 28 January. The stock is down less than 1% since where it was when Lebed issued this alert. Hmm...
Draw your own conclusions.
Hello wadawa. Welcome to the CPOW board.
Unfortunately I cannot get that link to open. Can you double check it? It is coming up as a blank page for me.
Thanks.
I am not going to pretend I know all there is to know about shorting, Eagle. I don't short stocks. Millions are made, I am sure, by shorting stocks of all sized companies.
That some people made money shorting CPOW is not in question and if this is how some traders want to play, congratulations to them for their success. I didn't even say Sykes was wrong to do what he does, I simply said I didn't see him give a 0.01 price target for CPOW.
Some on here have argued that the short interest is now very tiny on this stock, so there won't be a short squeeze. Go back through the messages, there was some discussion of this. It would seem the shorts got in and out of CPOW already. You even said Sykes is done with this.
This discussion began when you posted something about another poster's prediction of where this stock was headed. However realistic or unrealistic his post was about a shareprice target, my question is, is 0.01 any more realistic? Let's watch the charts over the next few days and see what the technicals tell us.
What Skihi said was his own opinion, which he is entitled to. You are entitled to your opinion as well.
Okay Eagle.
I respect your opinions.
I will say however that until I see the email from Lebed that says this stock will go to 0.01 it is TECHNICALLY hearsay. Please anyone on this board that got an email from Lebed, cut & paste and post it, I am interested in what any of the major players in the OTC market have said.
I really want this board to bring actual links and reports to the table, charts and other things to help us all make sensible decisions.
Every morning when I wake up, I watch CNBC. They will have 2 analysts on for every stock. One's touting the stock and the other is poo-poo'ing it. The point is, only one of them is right.
But which one?
Thank you Angel.
Please go back through the posts of the last 24 hours.
I posted today the answer I got from the CEO about Metz. Someone else posted something about this too with some news articles that indicated Metz had splintered off to his own bio energy company and was working in the Prince Albert area or something.
I saw the Sykes thing with the barn earlier. My point was I never saw Sykes make a prediction the stock would go to .01, which is what your post stated. Saying CPOW is headquartered in a barn is not the same thing as saying the stock will go to 0.01.
If anyone is discouraged by CPOW's headquarters, which anyone can see on Google maps, they should re-evaluate whether they are comfortable investing in a microcap company like this.
Being that some very big companies have some very humble beginings, I am personally comfortable with this.
I haven't seen the newsletter from Lebed that you reference. If you or someone you know got it, I would appreciate it being posted to the board. The text can be cut and pasted here.
Thanks for posting Steve5.
Some of these websites are so annoying. They don't post the date their articles are written.
But I do believe this data is relatively current.
Please post links to where Sykes (shorter) and Lebed say this stock is headed to .01.
Thank you.
Dear All,
I am looking for an assistant moderator that has Level II that can help us with screen captures of market maker activity and technical charts.
Please contact me if you are willing to help on this CPOW board.
Jackroch
Thank you, Skihi, for your enthusiasm.
Your projections are along the lines of the Rob Goldman report on CPOW that came out in December. For those that have not seen it, it is in the NEWS section of this board.
It remains to be seen where this stock is headed and how quickly. CPOW has potential, that's for sure.
Friendly reminder to everyone to watch charts, trading activity and progress on the outlined in the PRs and 8Ks.
I for one cannot wait to see what happens tomorrow...
I want to add here to the Stickies one of the original promos that came out before Christmas to make a more permanent record of this.
This was originally posting #14 in this forum, goes back before I was the moderator of this board.

Thank you, Homevendor, for posting this.
I haven't been able to figure out the math on this Feisty.
I think this is an important subject so let us know how this was arrived at.
I did email the Transfer Agent for the share structure over the weekend. Would be nice if they answer me Monday.
I will be updating information in the I-box and the Stickies for a little bit tonight.
I did get an answer to my email to the CEO about Metz.
Reply:
"He was already gone when he was charged, he has had no involvement since some time in I think April/May of 09."
Yahoo finance will have to be updated.
Thanks for posting lightbeam. I will add this to the stickies for background data. I haven't had a chance to read through all this -- when I do I will reference anything in it that caught my eye. Other posters can do the same.
I posted the Transfer Agent to the Stickies yesterday.
I also emailed them asking about the share structure.
I will let everyone know when I have a reply.
Please anyone else doing homework on the company bring what you find to the board.
Good luck to all. I am going to try to log off here and get out for awhile. It has been FREEZING here and I pretty much spent all day yesterday indoors on the computer. I don't recommend it.
Thanks Palms.
A little stretch to say the Canola Council of Canada has "never heard of" the company just because there is nothing on their website. I am not saying they HAVE heard of CPOW or its predecessors, I am just saying that statement is a jump.
Cargill is also mentioned in the Reuter's article and there has been no mention of the Cargill company on the Canola Council of Canada website since July, 2009.
I do appreciate the realism you bring to the board, however.
Thank you ShamsSyed.
I guess we will see how the market reacts tomorrow.
ShamsSyed, can you please provide an exact link for this statement?
Thanks.
Jackroch
* if you go to katx website - they are already getting JV offers on RR .. Ken doenst want to spin this baby off because i think he believes too much init. Ken knows what he is doing and u and i dont.
Reuter's article showing bias? What do posters on our board think?
The article includes input from someone from a website: canolainsight.com. There is no "About Us" link on their website. The site has a "Corporate Subscriber's" link. Click on that and check out what they charge! Website appears to be owned/controlled by Ag Resource Publishing. Still looking into that. Their website is: http://www.agcommodity.info/index.html. Basically a blank page that links back to their OAT and CANOLA websites. No information about who these people are. Front group?
(Front group definition: http://www.sourcewatch.org/index.php?title=Front_groups )
Here's the Reuter's article.

I want to thank the posters on this board for continuing to bring pros and cons to the table and for all the due diligence being done.
Good luck to us all.
Good morning pkp544!

CPOW is trying to get in on this market. I am posting this for background data on what is happening in China with regards to cooking oil prices.
The main play for CPOW is the idea that a joint venture will coalesce resulting in actual sales and possibly the building of larger facilities. The company has outlined their plans in the 8Ks and press releases.
POTENTIALLY, if the Chinese company does decide to sign actual agreements to finance and build a crushing plant, they would be doing so to apparently help deal with the rising demand and cost of cooking oil in China.
Again, right now PLANS. Would be great to see this come together.
Chongquin Grain Group has already purchased land in Brazil to grow soy. Here is the article on that.
http://www.globalspeculations.com/2010/08/chinas-global-monopoly-game/
Amen.
Go KATX.
Thanks Lightbeam.
Please keep us up to date on any due diligence you find and want to share on CPOW.
I was looking over the Chongquin Grain Group website and I found this, which gave me a little chuckle due its brevity.

Some good observations skyhi.
I really do wonder what is going to happen to the shareprice come Monday.
I guess we will see.
To clarify, I have never met nor spoken to Michael Shehner. I have exchanged a few emails with routine questions. I don't use phone, especially long distance to Canada. I prefer to have a written record of correspondence. The email address is:
ir@cleanpowerconcepts.com
Anyone can email and ask questions. Or call if they prefer. The phone number is on the website.
Mike has an email from me on this subject. Asking the CEO is not the only thing that can be done to check into this.
I did not mean to make it personal by saying you pulled the alarm and ran. I apologize for that. My point was more that a name has been brought up and until I have more data, I am not going to assume the worst, sell my shares and run.
I never said I have been following this company since the beginning. This company goes back to before I ever got into trading microcaps.
Thanks for pointing out the lease. I didn't notice that. I know you posted the Yahoo Finance thing before but I believe I asked at the time if it was current data or not. A few weeks ago on another board I asked about some people connected to another company I invest in (KA*X) and was told these people have been gone for years. They were listed on Reuters as current employees and I thought this was new data. If anyone doubts what I am saying you can go back through my posts on the KA*X board and see the egg I got on my face when I brought these names up.
Honestly I never saw/noticed the name before Eagle1969 brought it up. And the way this was brought up was kind of like pulling the alarm bell and running away.
So everything is out in the open, I will post the link to what that poster brought up. The link is at the bottom of this message.
The questions are 1) same Troy Metz? likely but we don't know for sure. 2) is there a current relationship and if so what is it? The people I lease my apartment from are jerks too. If the only connection is a lease at this point I am not terrified by that. 3)
do we know for a FACT, not ASSUMPTION based on a Yahoo Finance profile that could be out of date, that he is a current officer of this company? 4)how alarmed should we be about this? If its the same Troy Metz it is looking like the guy is banned from penny stock land per the below unless I am reading this wrong. In which case wouldn't that mean he couldn't be involved anymore? This article appears to be from June 2010. The case apparently goes back to 2006/7. Is it possible part of the switch from General Bio to CPOW was to distance themselves from the past relationship to Metz? I am not sure. In the past I have worked in organizations, good organizations doing good things, that had a few rotten apples. You throw the rotten apples away and you keep going.
I will entertain all input on this subject. I am not going to just sell my shares and run right now because someone drops a name.
Here's the link.

I always appreciate it when someone posts technicals in here but I am wondering if you can flesh out for us what this chart could predict.
You heard it here folks, 60 days to reach agreement with Chongquin Grain to make this proposal become an actual deal.

(JUST ADDING THIS TO THE STICKIES)
Thanks for posting palms. You are a welcome voice on the board.
Wrote this earlier but deleted it and am reposting it without the typos:
Thank you Gildersleeve.
I think some of these questions are answered by the prospectus.

I have read through this a few times, trying to get a better picture on this company. I will continue to do my due diligence and share anything I find. If it becomes clear that something is just not right, I will be the first to bail. Just because I am moderating this board and own a small position does not mean I am married to this stock. But I'd like to think we have an entrepeneur here trying to get into the big time. So for now, cautious optimism on my part.
I am pretty sure the General Bio and Clean Power websites are very outdated, including who is there doing what. I mentioned earlier that the first time I looked at the CPOW website (before I bought some stock) it had not been updated since 2007. I don't know how old the data is on the General Bio site. I am not going to commment on people's qualifications as stated on these websites. If someone is really concerned about that they shouldn't be investing in such a small micro-cap start up. It takes time and money to develop personnel, things an emerging company does not have a lot of.
As far as I know, Mike Shehner and Cory Turner are it along with a handful of other staff. This is the personnel data I have from the web, which is probably more current:
http://www.reuters.com/finance/stocks/companyOfficers?symbol=CPOW.PK&WTmodLOC=C4-Officers-5
I cannot find it now but somewhere I found the employees listed as 8 total.
Another poster has been trying to tie someone named Troy Metz to this company. I never heard of this guy before I saw that post. I cannot find anything to indicate current involvement with the company. Worth checking into. Anyone very concerned about this could email IR on this and let us know.
If there was anything concrete on allegations of insider trading then the cease trade from the BCSC would have continued. My understanding was this whole matter was over unusual trading volume from the paid promos. It certainly put some damper on the volume. But at no time did the stock stop trading in the U.S. that I know of. The BCSC website is: http://www.bcsc.bc.ca/
If someone has questions/concerns about the matter, the agency could be contacted.
I would like this board to have freely flowing communication, pro and con, and posters should feel free to post links and whatever they want -- as long as it is on-topic and within the terms of use of this site.
