My account was showing the ask was up to .129 and then wham right back down...
Welcome.
Do you have shares in TEVE?
what site are you using to get a quote on CPOW?
CPOW is a pink sheet only. Some of these sites list a CPOW.OB and a CPOW.PK. One of those sites is Google Finance and it can be confusing. Look again and you will see CPOW.OB is graphed only to 1 Sept 2010. This is because in the reverse merger with General Bio Energy CPOW moved from the OTC to the Pinks. CPOW.PK is the graph you want and is the ONLY report for this company at this time.
It's a little confusing but for whatever reason, every stock on the RegSHO list has an "O" in the last column for OTC even though some of them are Pinks. Who knows why.
This is the link:

You can do a Control-F and search for CPOW or any stock you want to see how many shorts there were. As you can see, nearly 50% of Friday's trading was short volume.
Good luck to CPOW investors.
Friday's RegSHO report for CPOW:
Date Ticker Short Vol Short Exempt Vol Total Vol Exhange

Thanks and welcome to the board.
Good luck to CPOW investors.
I have a hunch we will have some news tomorrow or Tuesday IMHO.
I am glad to see more faces here and I do hope the interest is well founded. To be seen from news and financials which are now due.
Good luck to CPOW investors.
IMHO we will have news in the new week, most likely timed with the financials which were delayed.
There are 42 people that have CPOW in their My Stocks and 69 people that are "following" this board.
I would like to know how many of you are really here, because there are about 10 people posting on this board.
Even so, this is merely a microcosm of the investors in CPOW. I am sure that not every single investor in CPOW is a member of I-Hub - not even close.
If someone has something they want added to the I-Box or stickies, PM me.
I would like to see more contribution of due diligence and whatnot to this board.
We like to run an orderly show here, without comments getting personal.
Remember FACTS are FACTS and opinion should be referred to as such.
The I-Box has been updated. Good luck to CPOW investors.
Yep I bought another pair today here locally. Love the socks and the cashier said they're selling well.
The Transfer Agent is Empire Stock.
I am not sure what data you need from them, but the contact info is here: Matthew J. Blevins <mjb@empirestock.com>
I exchanged emails with him weeks ago.
The share structure is in the Stickies and the I-Box as of about a month ago.
Good luck to CPOW investors.
Every time this thing goes to 12 cents it gets pulled right back to 11 something. Will it close up so people think about buying more over the weekend or will it close down so they consider selling?
Good luck to CPOW investors.
Well, up is up.
The stock was up today, not by much but at least it was up.
Good luck to CPOW investors.
Who knows? But I doubt that filing for the extension was because the accountant needed more time. My guess - they will time financials with the next PR. And fairly soon.
Good luck to CPOW investors.
NITE is on the bid controlling the price action as I expected.
Thanks, Joe.
Good luck to CPOW investors.
Time to bring this discussion back to the company and not mysterious shorters and pumpers. The market opens in 10 mins. Let's see where we open and what happens today if we get news.
This stock has ALWAYS been about the Chongquin deal, because while the company has potential in biofuels, livestock feed and nutriceuticals, to turn a profit at last they have to have a big buyer.
Some call it Kool Aid. This stock's Kool Aid is the Chongquin deal.
We haven't heard the latest on this and we should soon. It's either a signed deal and the money flows in and the stock goes up or the deal falls through and we pick up the pieces and move forward.
Good luck to CPOW investors.
There has been no recent paid pump on CPOW that I have seen. I made a point of getting myself on all of the freebie paid pump mailing lists and set google and yahoo finance alerts on this stock. If anyone mentioned CPOW I did not see it.
I'm a little burned out and now feeling some confusion on this shorting issue. I need to revisit this matter tomorrow with a fresh eye. One thing that does not make sense to me is why in 2 weeks this stock has attracted 5.5 million short sales with no pumping going on. This is a monetary value of let's say an average of 10 cents over the past 2 weeks = $550,000 plus the cost to short sell a penny stock (commissions) which I am not sure is all that cheap to do.
IDK it really seems like A LOT to me. Why THIS stock which is a relatively small almost easy to overlook company gets so much attention on short sales. It's WEIRD to me, honestly. How many stocks are trading on the OTC and Pinks? Are there really that many investors out there short selling small companies like this on their own without any "tips" to do so?
To me if it is not Lebed or Sykes orchestrating this at this time (I am not ruling that out just because neither has brought up this stock in awhile) then WHO is generating that kind of interest in shorting our little Saskatchwan company? How much is market maker naked shorts?
It may not be possible to ascertain the answers but I am trying.
Good luck to CPOW investors.
It has come to my attention that the FINRA short sale regs may only apply to naked shorts used by the market maker "to add liquidity to the market". I guess that begs the question how many of the shorts since 28 Feb (when the regs kicked in) are these naked shorts and how many have yet to be covered before they become a failure to deliver.
Good luck to KATX investors.
Thanks, Bly.
You may be right on the short sale regulations. I did think this applies to all shorting but it might only apply to the naked shorts by market makers alone. I've asked a friend who is an attorney to look over these FINRA regs.
I guess if it does only apply to naked shorts the question would then be how much of the short volume of CPOW since 28 Feb when these rules kicked in are naked shorts.
These are the RegSHO figures from that date forward:
date ticker short vol short exempt vol total vol market
20110228 CPOW 499682 0 1935058 OTC
20110301 CPOW 300545 25000 1930569 OTC
20110302 CPOW 242523 2300 717958 OTC
20110303 CPOW 82109 0 496599 OTC
20110304 CPOW 121930 0 722802 OTC
20110307 CPOW 80544 0 631066 OTC
20110308 CPOW 155891 0 1028263 OTC
20110309 CPOW 25535 0 1130465 OTC
20110310 CPOW 18350 0 843384 OTC
20110311 CPOW 752315 0 1911677 OTC
20110314 CPOW 1619662 0 5631339 OTC
20110315 CPOW 1099343 0 2528663 OTC
20110316 CPOW 554435 0 1641119 OTC
Now, this is a real question. If in the last 2+ weeks since the new regs came out, are there really only 27,300 shares that were naked shorted by market makers as the short exempt volume would seem to indicate?
And if so, does this mean that the 5552864 minus 27,300 = 5553137
is the total of short sold shares by individual short sellers in the last 2 weeks? That's about 26% of the total volume on average.
You were right about my comment on short sellers. In actual fact you are correct that there is no right or wrong side to a trade. What I said was too general. There are a couple of specific short sellers that I feel are unethical and I have named them in the past. Both spread vicious data about CPOW, such as the company being in a barn and being a sham and in doing so they profited on short sales. One of them urged his subscribers to short CPOW until it was a penny.
In the END, it is really the company that determines where this shareprice is going to go IMO. They either produce oil, biodiesel and feedstock and get paid for it - or they don't. Meanwhile this stock has definitely seen some ups and downs based on campaigns on BOTH sides of the trade.
Good luck to CPOW investors.
100K of shares or 100,000 dollars?
KATX stock was down 15% today. Meanwhile, well over 2 million shares were short sold. Here's today's RegSHO data:
20110316|KATX|2638926|0|9213644|O
That first number of 2,658,926 shares is short volume. The ZERO is "short exempt volume". The total volume was 9,213,644. Short volume was about 29% of today's trading.
Well, shortie has 13 days to cover now or it's a fail to deliver. This stock goes up even a little and it's a squeeze.
Thank you FINRA and SEC for your new Regs.
Good luck to KATX investors.
I don't play the short trade and I never ever will. Betting that a company and investors will lose is diametrically opposed to my investment philosophy. For those that do it, God bless them, they have a stronger stomach than I do. Morals, well that's another story. Especially when the campaign is generated by guys like Sykes and Lebed who are probably on the job again, whether or not they put something on their websites this time. Who else has the kind of following to generate HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF SHORT SOLD SHARES?
I was merely pointing out that anyone who is shorting this stock is on the clock now. They have 13 days to cover. Period. SEC and FINRA regs now require this, since the stock went down more than 10% in one day.
20110316|CPOW|554435|0|1641119|O
That's todays RegSHO report. 554,435 short volume. Zero short exempt volume.
http://regsho.finra.org/FORFshvol20110316.txt
The math: 34% of all shares traded today were short sales.
If the company comes out with a signed, sealed and delivered Chinese deal the squeeze is on, IMHO.
There is much to indicate that it is happening (Chinese deal), but it's all speculation and reading between the lines. We need a solid PR. And I wouldn't mind an announcement to accompany that which says that the company has gotten some Chinese investors onto the Stock Register.
And maybe they have another trick or two up their sleeves - bringing on more executives, hiring an IR firm, preparing for an uplist. Who knows?
Good luck to all CPOW investors.
Well the stock was down over 10% today so all those shorts have 13 days to cover or it's a fail to deliver. Thank you SEC and FINRA for the new regulations that went into effect 28 Feb. Good news and decent financials and we're away.
Good luck to CPOW investors.
When the short volume was 30% on Monday and over 40% on Tuesday I would say shortie is pretty active. I will post the short volume for today as soon as it is posted on the RegSHO list.
Shortie is in for a fun ride. 13 days to cover starting now. Thank you SEC and FINRA for the new regs.
Good luck to CPOW investors.
Your confidence is inspiring but still would like to hear from the company. I see this CPOW stock is ping-ponging between 12 and 13 cents. I have to say I will be surprised if CPOW closes at a 10% loss today because if it does, that short sale covering rule goes into play for 13 days from today and shorters hate to be forced to cover.
Actually nothing surprises me anymore so I guess we will just have to watch and see.
Good luck to CPOW investors.
For now we are back to .12 on my Scottrade account.
Good luck to CPOW investors.
I can't speak for everyone but I know I understand it.
NITE is clearly the "Ax" for this stock and has been for some time.
http://www.investopedia.com/terms/a/ax.asp
By keeping the Ask so much lower than anyone else on that Level II, it keeps it OUT of their hands and fully in HIS. Who would pay .55 when they could pay .175. This keeps the ball in NITE's court.
I do hope we are right. And I am hoping all are doing their own due diligence on this. a) it helps when others are digging around and bringing stuff to the board. b) it's best to buy stocks based on one's one due diligence and not a message board.
I have a reminder for everyone too.
When there is short selling on a stock that goes down more than 10% in shareprice in a single day, there are special reporting requirements now and a 13 day mandatory cover or it is a failure to deliver. At least this is my understanding based on the SEC rules. Maybe someone else smarter than I can expand upon this.
However, what I believe this means is that if CPOW is down more than 10% today and there are large amounts of shorts, 13 days from now if this stock is trading higher, you are going to see a short squeeze if those shorts are not already covered by then.
Good luck to CPOW investors.
Doubtlessly we have a few factors in play here:
1) Two days of heavy short selling per the RegSHO list - 30% on Monday and 40+% on Tuesday.
2) Weak hands that will sell on any dip instead of holding and riding out the storm.
3) Flippers that got in at .08 and out at .14. That's a pretty profit if you buy enough shares, which real flippers do. 100,000 shares at 8 cents = $8,000.00 and at 14 cents is $14,000.00. That's a $5,000 gain in 2 days which is more than I make in a month. Nice work if you can get it.
4) Lull between news and possible anxiety amongst shareholders as 15 March has now come and gone and no news on the Chongquin Grain Group deal or financials.
There is only ONE answer to this conundrum which is NEWS from the company. So give me a hand and help let them know we'd like to hear from them:
ir@cleanpowerconcepts.com
Good luck to CPOW investors.
Hm. What do we have here? I was away for an hour and a half and the stock is down 21%. Those shorts from the last two days I guess need to get covered before news comes out...
Wow now that's a math project. Thank you Dr. Livingston (I presume).
Good luck to CPOW investors.
Someone is banking on failure. Time for the company to step up and produce good financials and a signed, sealed, delivered Chinese deal.
Good luck to CPOW investors.
I will put some time in on the I-Box tonight. The weather is getting warmer and spring is the season for romance and other exploits. I will be here but not quite as often as I have been during that terrible winter, where I huddled by the computer for warmth. Now would be the time if anyone wanted to volunteer to be an assistant mod - preferably someone with Level II that could post Level II snapshots intra-day. I will be following the stock as closely as I can today. We are at a critical juncture and it will go either way depending almost entirely on news at this point.
Good luck to CPOW investors.
They are not late. The last 2 years the report has been issued on 31 March on the dot.
You made my day.
I am hoping we will see more gains from here.
At this point it really does depend on deals being put into writing and moving ahead.
I took it as a positive sign that they signed the lease for that Montana plant as they must have it figured out how to pay for that.
I guess we will see. I have not seen an after hours PR yet but the day is not over and there is always tomorrow.
Nope but I have a background in Public Relations.
We closed EVEN at .14 in case anyone was wondering. I-Hub quotes are delayed.
Good luck to CPOW investors. I am looking to see if we get an after-hours announcement. ;)
Raise it a little perhaps and see if he sells it to you cheaper.
Palms mentioned a market maker I never heard of before is on the case.
See list of market makers on the bid and ask here:

This is a real full house. Everyone came out to play with us and CPOW today.
Good luck to CPOW investors.
Nice. Good luck to CPOW investors.
Great find.
Good luck to CPOW investors.
This is the increase in the number of postings over the previous day. Good luck to CPOW investors.
News, news, news. More to come and we need & want it.
I had not noticed. Good observation - I never heard of them.
