Yeah, you hit it. "Snall recievables" sounds pretty insignificant. It is kind of explanatory, knowing that they already took the $20 million in excess of the $67 million, and now they need to recieve the small amount that is left which passes through Trenwick to the tune of almost $67 million if collectable. The $35 million payment should have at least stopped the clock on the yearly dividend. Some of the $6 million cost of liquidation should fall on LSRAF, and possibly even allow a distribution to Trenwick without passing through the entire $67 million.

Getting the $67 million is still the big question. NOL's could be part of the payoff unless they act like idiots and just drop them into the black hole of government. Maybe the liquidators should just take a trip to Washington and act like real CEO's and beg for a bailout?

It could be that the bid is low because people are afraid that everyone will sell as low as the estate shares sold for. As soon as they show those shares as cancelled, the stock could do better.

Ok, I put the order in and it isn't showing. The BxA on this one is 5,000 x 5,000 on mine, which might mean it is actually 500,000 by 500,000. I don't have enough cash to raise the bid in that case. There just aren't enough market makers or people interested in that one yet. If I had a few bucks today, I would bid a two pennies. You need to bid more than 5000 shares to actually raise the bid. You can actually put a larger order in at AON and not raise the bid.

New 3 day. 10 day is .018 anything over that is a new 10 day high. A close above that is a very positive short term technical signal. The 20 day is .025, and that signal is a monster.

It actually fits in to Kondratiev long wave predictions as far as time frame. It is allegedly based on economic growth through innovation and the relative distribution of wealth. As long as wealth is so poorly distributed as it is in the US, the economy will continue to fail. People will not work as slaves forever, and will not work efficiently without proper motivation.

The "big money" transaction was when they converted all of the assets from US$ to pound denominated bonds. they should have made a killing on the weak dollar. 5% bonds was not a very good return. I imagine Buffet never invested like that with his insurance reserves, and that is what made him the king in this biz.

It might be a ratio calculated to reduce the amount of payout for partials, or it might be just to make sure that you are a partial if you own less than 1500 shares.

I wonder who is doing the selling. Soros used to say this is very tightly held, and if you have the canadian shares you would sell them in Canada.
