jason its not about that as much as it is about the insurance industries soaking Americans every which way to Sunday, as well as the doctors. Just think about how disproportionate hospital cost is to what most Americans earn. The insurance companies are thugs, and even with health care reform it may do little to stop these excess profiteers who count on those hundred million dollar comp packages operating as publicly traded companies. "The root of their corruption". AIG is their poster child. The insurance industry is the poster child for all of wall street, their dirtier than dirt.
Just think about what auto repairs cost, just a $40 part may wind up costing ya $300 to $400 just to have it replaced. It stands to reason that without any cost containment all this would eventually bite the hand that feeds the auto industry as a whole. Priced any of the new autos lately?........$30 to $60k is believed to be affordable, for those making the decisions whose annual comp packages are into the tens of millions its not hard to see just how misguided they can become with the working class, or the real world, since they don't live in it.
Just another politician who says one thing and does another. Little changes inside the Beltway, including the same old traitors that keep getting reelected. The Washington bureaucrats like a senator should be disallowed from seeking a second term, and House members more than 2, could possibly help, but whose to say?, chances are they would do little else than become a lobbyist, and if not this serve some wall street firm as an attorney, or board member. 10 years from now a new flag may be flying over the white house with the bold letters that reads international member of the EU. Our country didn't get this way over night, its been in the making for decades, and if what we've all witnessed, and learned over the last couple years is indicative of who these elected officials serve. Trillions in bailouts, for all those who raped America, and millions in kickbacks, and campaign contributions for one and all. We would all be fools to believe otherwise, if we suspect it as we have everything else before it came to fruitrition, we would be right on these issues as well. Initially the IRS was gonna investigate 52,500 US citizens who had secret bank accounts in just one of Switzerland banks, when it was all said and done the number had been reduced to 4,250 or a close number, the remainder are all good ole US taxpayers, like Geitner, and Daschle. We hear little to "nothing", about the off shore accounts in the Caymans 241 banks. Its all about money, power, and the committees these racketeers serve on.
http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/11/17/campbell.brown.lobbyists/index.html
The Obama team is quick to point out that their rules and restrictions on lobbying ties are far stricter than any previous administration
In otherwords underneath all that rhetoric, this is what he really meant, which means what?. There were no other people in this country that had the dignity and qualified to serve in these positions?.........its a well oiled machine.
Joe Biden dispersed over $2 million of his campaign contributions to family members who he claimed worked on his campaign. "What Campaign?". The unused money should have gone to the Democratic National Committee, not into their bank accounts. Just as John Edwards paid out $150k to the woman he was sacking for literally nothing more.
Agree!. Its unbelievable that GWB got 2 terms, as did Reagan. The Clinton's knew the score, this is how they raked in so much, all the right boys in all the right places, even Greenspan who gave boost to the phony economy, which allowed for phony generated revenue numbers by corporations who consistently beat quarterly expectations, and they played it for all it was worth.
Remember Hillary's investment in commodities?, $1K turned into $100K in less than a year. The likely hood of she losing her investment of $1k, and more, if she would have been Hillary Clinton, private citizen investor would have been 100 to 1 odds against her.
Today their daughter works for a $12b hedge-fund, the love those hedge-funds don't they?, she and Bill will no doubt do pretty well. All of them are so interlocked with the market and wall street, being the president can almost be as good as being the Ceo as a Racketeering Chief.
I wonder if their name was listed with the 52,500 who were supposedly under investigation by the Congress, and the IRS for tax evasion, whose secret accounts were in the UBS bank of Switzerland. I would bet its a fair bet that the Bush's are, as well as Cheney.
The investigative committee finally concluded that approx 4,200 were perhaps guilty, the rest were believed to be clean.........The American should people demand that the govt post the names of all 52,500 having brought this public, considering the money thats been shoveled out for the so called bailouts, or the big money grab, before Paulson, and Bush got out of office, and hold the IRS responsible for each individual investigation..............It appears this is now gonna be swept under the rug.........I guess they don't want to expose all those in high places.........its suspicious at best.
Your right!. Then look at the choices we had in the last election. Most of the very same ole people who were in the service of lobbyist now was hoping to become "our" next president other than a couple that were not so well known.
There does need to be some amendments to our constitution, as many as need be that will punish the treasonous corruption in high places, and new laws that protect the American people from conflict of interest, enforcement of term limits, lobbyist, and the 2 tier justice system that protects the biggest of criminals who commit their dark acts thru fraud, and deceptive practices, by lesser punishment known as "white collar crime", which should be abolished. Ironic isn't it?........in the past most got a slap on the hand, and if they happen to be a politician even better. They either go to camp, or a country club, and protected from some of the very same people they could have hurt, who would no doubt love to get their hands on them, like child molestors. Uncle Bernie now in his 70's laughs at all those he hurt, even those that took their lives.
Good Post!.......Its never ending isn't it?. Its good at least in this case that the judgement was fair, and being barred from serving as a director, or officer will lessen the opportunity for getting any insider information in the future.
George Bush was guilty of doing the exact same thing when he worked for an oil company. He fell under investigation, but good ole boy George had the good fortune of corruption serving on his side, his father was then the VP, who quashed the investigation, the guy who eventually nominated Ron Cox after becoming Pres, former Senator to Chair the SEC. We are all witness to his decades of corruption. Kinda like putting the fox in the hen house.
Elected officials don't come to DC to serve the government, the American people, or to better us as a country, they rather come to DC to use their elected office for their advantage, to get rich at taxpayers expense servicing Lobbyist, corporations, and Hedge-funds "the likes of Goldman Sachs", George Soros who also operates a Hedge-fund, whose clients are the mega millionaires and billionaires, and "politicians". Their world is the Cayman Islands, nearly all are unregistered with the SEC, "like it really matters", who control half of the US market, and half of the London Exchange.
Last but not least they fall into the service of countries that US corporations want to use so they can move abroad, having been built from the ground up by the American worker.
The countries being communist don't really matter, the very reasons we were told why we were fighting against N Korea, and N Vietnam, and the reasons we were helping Afghanistan who were fighting the Russians.
Is there any wonder why this country is in the predicament its in?...........and a year later nothing has changed, and its doubtful it really ever will, until a President, and his closest colleagues lays the corruption out on the table for the American people to see it for what it truly is.
Its like the old saying, "nothing changes, if nothing changes!".
We've all heard it said, that the only way to change the tax laws and its 60, 000 plus tax codes which have been instituted thru amendments would be to pull out the IRS by its roots, or rather eliminate that agency. Its corrupted to its very foundation. The same can be said for the Federal Govt, and for the most part most many of our State Governments which are run by bureaucrats, and last but not least City Governments which we have all been witness to by the likes of New Jersey, and the City of Chicago, and it exist all across our Nation. We elect a new Governor in the hopes of change, State legislators/assemblies or a new Mayor, or city council, or Sheriff, and often we see little difference, and often times things go from bad to worse, or worse to worst.
After they get in to their desired positions, "and what a generalized statement", as sad as this might be, but all those campaign promises they made falls to the wayside, and the voices of who elected them falls on deaf ears, and the only way to get them out it appears is to scandalize them, like the church going Senator Craig, or Milwaukee's former Mayor, Norquist, who by the way was orginally from Chicago, and who has since returned, and all his legal fees, and the agreed settlement for having been exposed to having sexual relations with a woman who worked for him was paid by tax dollars, ironic isn't it?.
If its done with diligence this may not be hard to do. In NJ one elected official had only been in office for 16 days and the charged with taken a bribe from a sting operation.
This may not work on every elected official, like Ted Kennedy, or Clinton, but it sure did on Nixon and the only one who had the sense to end the war in Vietnam so it can have its disadvantages to I guess.
Its kinda like the tiers of the Market Place. It begins in the Over The Counter Market, a non regulated market where all that CDS insurance was brokered by AIG and others, or rather where bets were placed into the trillions of dollars. I guess this is why there never was, and still is without oversight. Kinda like the 3 monkey's Mckenzie spoke of on Larry King, but of a different subject matter. Hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil, in particular if it all exist. Its a place where fallen public trading corporations go as they work thru their bankruptcies, most never to return, but are still allowed to trade???, another irony.
At the next tier, is the American Exchange, the Nas, the Nyse, and Wall Street who bred the likes of Bernie Madoff, a bonifide swindler that operated for decades thru his younger years, and who was beyond reproach, what he said was gospel, and with all the agenices supposedly protecting the public from fraud, even the FBI chose to look the other way. He had not made one stock trade in 13 years, and this went undetected by Wall Street, and the exchanges?...........yep!, kind like a person who would be hit by a car in time square, and for weeks, months, and years continued to get run over, and the last truck crushed the withered bones, and witnessed thru the eyes of a by-stander, as the street cleaner pick it up, wrote down the vehicle ID number, then called a news agency about the uncle who was missing, and whose watch he recovered at the curb side.
Kinda like the war in Iraq, most Americans knew going into Iraq this second time, and blaming Saddam for 911 didn't make sense, he was guilty for past atrocities, but attacking the US was not one of them. What was the reasoning one might ask?.........ahhhhhhhhh weapons of mass destruction?, ya mean like the kind Pakistan has, and India, or the ones Iran will have soon?. This took front and center regardless of whatever happened in NY..........anyone that believes this was the reason is delusional at best.
What to do, what to do???????????
Maybe what we need is a new system of government?, "like one by the American people, for the American people", this concept might bring out the militia. Wonder what would give?, what would happen if the people all across this nation arose with their brooms in protest to make a clean sweep for reform?, like kicking their butts out of there, or the demand of shutting down the Federal Govt if things don't change on a massive scale.......what would their response be, Kent State on a massive scale, or tent cities attacked by the calavary, and set ablaze, with people shot and killed, like the veterans, and families of veterans were after WW1, in DC, by the orders of Hoover? . The way I view it if there isn't sweeping reform, the chances of doing this in the future won't be made possible with just brooms. It will take the kind of heavy equipment that used to clean out commercial air ducts, the vacuum of jet engines in reverse.
Goldman was repeatedly sued by shareholders for engaging in laddering in a variety of Internet IPOs, including Webvan and NetZero. The deceptive practices also caught the attention of Nicholas Maier, the syndicate manager of Cramer & Co., the hedge fund run at the time by the now-famous chattering television asshole Jim Cramer, himself a Goldman alum. Maier told the SEC that while working for Cramer between 1996 and 1998, he was repeatedly forced to engage in laddering practices during IPO deals with Goldman.

Click to watch Matt Taibbi break down his report in our exclusive video.
For more on Wall Street's march on Washington, read Taibbi's "The Big Takeover."
The first thing you need to know about Goldman Sachs is that it's everywhere. The world's most powerful investment bank is a great vampire squid wrapped around the face of humanity, relentlessly jamming its blood funnel into anything that smells like money. In fact, the history of the recent financial crisis, which doubles as a history of the rapid decline and fall of the suddenly swindled dry American empire, reads like a Who's Who of Goldman Sachs graduates.
By now, most of us know the major players. George Bush's last Treasury secretary, former Goldman CEO Henry Paulson was the architect of the bailout, a suspiciously self-serving plan to funnel trillions of Your Dollars to a handful of his old friends on Wall Street. Robert Rubin, Bill Clinton's former Treasury secretary, spent 26 years at Goldman before becoming chairman of Citigroup — which in turn got a $300 billion taxpayer bailout from Paulson. There's John Thain, the asshole chief of Merrill Lynch who bought an $87,000 area rug for his office as his company was imploding; a former Goldman banker, Thain enjoyed a multibilliondollar handout from Paulson, who used billions in taxpayer funds to help Bank of America rescue Thain's sorry company. And Robert Steel, the former Goldmanite head of Wachovia, scored himself and his fellow executives $225 million in goldenparachute payments as his bank was selfdestructing. There's Joshua Bolten, Bush's chief of staff during the bailout, and Mark Patterson, the current Treasury chief of staff, who was a Goldman lobbyist just a year ago, and Ed Liddy, the former Goldman director whom Paulson put in charge of bailedout insurance giant AIG, which forked over $13 billion to Goldman after Liddy came on board. The heads of the Canadian and Italian national banks are Goldman alums, as is the head of the World Bank, the head of the New York Stock Exchange, the last two heads of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York — which, incidentally, is now in charge of overseeing Goldman — not to mention …
But then, any attempt to construct a narrative around all the former Goldmanites in influential positions quickly becomes an absurd and pointless exercise, like trying to make a list of everything. What you need to know is the big picture: If America is circling the drain, Goldman Sachs has found a way to be that drain — an extremely unfortunate loophole in the system of Western democratic capitalism, which never foresaw that in a society governed passively by free markets and free elections, organized greed always defeats disorganized democracy.
The bank's unprecedented reach and power have enabled it to turn all of America into a giant pumpanddump scam, manipulating whole economic sectors for years at a time, moving the dice game as this or that market collapses, and all the time gorging itself on the unseen costs that are breaking families everywhere — high gas prices, rising consumercredit rates, halfeaten pension funds, mass layoffs, future taxes to pay off bailouts. All that money that you're losing, it's going somewhere, and in both a literal and a figurative sense, Goldman Sachs is where it's going: The bank is a huge, highly sophisticated engine for converting the useful, deployed wealth of society into the least useful, most wasteful and insoluble substance on Earth — pure profit for rich individuals.
They achieve this using the same playbook over and over again. The formula is relatively simple: Goldman positions itself in the middle of a speculative bubble, selling investments they know are crap. Then they hoover up vast sums from the middle and lower floors of society with the aid of a crippled and corrupt state that allows it to rewrite the rules in exchange for the relative pennies the bank throws at political patronage. Finally, when it all goes bust, leaving millions of ordinary citizens broke and starving, they begin the entire process over again, riding in to rescue us all by lending us back our own money at interest, selling themselves as men above greed, just a bunch of really smart guys keeping the wheels greased. They've been pulling this same stunt over and over since the 1920s — and now they're preparing to do it again, creating what may be the biggest and most audacious bubble yet.
If you want to understand how we got into this financial crisis, you have to first understand where all the money went — and in order to understand that, you need to understand what Goldman has already gotten away with. It is a history exactly five bubbles long — including last year's strange and seemingly inexplicable spike in the price of oil. There were a lot of losers in each of those bubbles, and in the bailout that followed. But Goldman wasn't one of them.

What we cannot ackowledge are the imaginings of God, only His pure Holiness could create. Its a gift to be given life, and we can only begin to take just a fraction of it all in. What must He have been thinking when he created such giants, or the tiniest of creatures like hummingbirds?.
Evolution takes on a path that seems right to man right?. What they can't theorize or even begin to guess at, is how it all began?......How could something come from nothing, the first atom?, where could it have come from?, is it even feasible that space has other dimensions?. They make it sound reasonable, but if they can't answer these very basic questions everything else is guessing.
If flowers and bee's are dependent on one another for survival, both had to be created at the same time.
When we think of the Redwood or any tree, it defies the logic of gravity doesn't it that water feeds and runs upward into the tree's. Wasn't such a difficult thing for God to figure out. and make it work.:))
The worlds tallest tree. "Awesome!"

A reflection in time. The worlds tallest treetops.
The biggest giant, the biggest one revealed anyway, some are kept secret for their protection, and proclaimed to be the tallest on earth stands approx 38 stories high.

Prior to the European conquest of Native America, the Native Americans just about had it right. Never were there more of a spiritual people, a people that were one with our creator, and nature. A people who acknowledged the creator and the blessings He bestowed on them having given them their Garden Of Eden. Truly there was not a more abundant, and beautiful land on the earth. The ideologies of what freedom could be to the European settlers came from what the Native Americans already owned.
A people described by the Puritans as savages, heathens, devilish, were anything but, a people whose integrity could not interpret the evil that was encroaching on their very existence. Their number within their 500 tribes throughout America were approx 16 million, today numbers are approx 1 million, close to extinction. The same puritans who burnt people at the stake.
They had no govt, they had no armies, no taxes, no kings or queens, or "royal families", nor fought over riches. The tribes did have leaders, and council, who were the elders. They did not need to be told of a Creator, they knew him better than most on earth, and saw Him thrum innocent eyes. They respected the elder, believed in honesty, and cherished the lives of those who had passed, their burial grounds were sacred, a place of reverence. A people who stood in awe of wildlife, the waters given them, and the forest, a wilderness that can only be imagined today, a pristine paradise and took only what they needed to survive without ever harming its balance, and in doing so everything flourished as if it had never been touched. It was for what they had, and envied by the Europeans that brought about their genocide.
A people who had not suffered from the diseases brought by the Europeans, nor were their rats, or cockroaches which were known to carry diseases.
A people who were, and are, the true landlords of this land, a people this govt would like to forget, a people who suffered from their holocaust. Its difficult to confront the wrongs that this govt committed, a govt that was founded by it fore farthers, a govt whose constitution we all live under today, and for all those involved, whatever roles they served, yesterday or today will ultimately will be judged by the Lord.
Its worthwhile to view this video, and see the creations of God.
Who can imagine today the giant Redwoods, and ancient forest that once were?, and what it must have felt like to walk among such giants that stretched forever along the Pacific coast. Just a memory of what had to be a land of enchantment. God creations of life are not only beyond what we summarize as beautiful, and awe inspiring, its a reality given us for such a short period of time, and man will never be able to acknowledge what was truly given till the road runs out, and then its to late.
All of you are right, the original sin was mans greed, and its ever present, we see it in every facet of life. Possessing more, and the want for more, things, money, position, and the power to control, even at our own peril, the clashing of minds within our homes and within every society, and within the powers of every govt will one day will lead to some end.
It truly must break Gods heart that He regretfully ever made man.
Persia was named Iran because of Hitler. Iran means aryan and Hitler convinced Persians they were the aryan race. Who is the biggest threat to Israel today? Iran, Hamas, Hezbollah.
Before Hitler, there was not the kind of antisemitism that led to genocide in the arab world.

Ironic isn't it?. He must've found GWB's schedule of events. There is a time an place for everything, but this isn't it. It hasn't been that long since he vacationed in Hawaii, then it was on to Camp David. I often wondered if GWB was playing video games throughout the day in his bedroom?, even after the Obama's moved in, nothing would surprise me.:)
Just look at where Bush was at and how he responded and others on the day of 911, running for their lives, and Bush later escorted to a bunker??????. Makes ya wonder who is really calling the shots, and who is influencing who with their bright ideas?.
Maybe its Michelle's mother telling them they need to get out more since they have such and elite jet just sitting in the hanger. Before the engines can cool down they're off to another get away.
Giving a look back to the Clinton years since he's been in the news of late, and the brilliant Janet Reno whose mission was to save the children at Waco was done by driving tanks thru a farm house that was made of wood. Somalia, and Black Hawk down, and the things he found time for in the interim, and the eight years the Republican party pursued him like the Paparazzi. I was told that Monica Lewinski's stained dress is in the Smithsonian.:) whether thats true or not I don't know?.
I understand the Republicans today want to recreate Ronald Reagan. I don't think the country could take act 3. scenes 21 thru 28 which would account for years. Things went from not so bad to terrible in our economy after he was elected. He broke the backs of most unions except for the biggest of them. In his last 4, old man Bush, Oliver North, and others were running most of that show, so it was a double whammy. The business we have all be witness to in the market and economy today can be traced back to him and deregulation. He and Bush were the founding fathers, Bush and even Clinton used it all to their advantage, Clinton is just as responsible. The market rallied on a fake economy, it was nothing short of the wild west, and it finally ended in a crash as he left office.
Lets hope he begins to understand what Israel already knows. Lebanon will likely fall into the hands of the Hezbollah its security chief Wafiq Safa has vastly increased his authority in Lebanon's military, and making gains politically. Its present Druze leader Walid Jumblatt head of Lebanon's Progressive Socialist Party threatened to withdraw from the ruling March 14 alliance. He has now backed away from his traditional hostility toward Syria, and moving away from his pro-western forces in favor of Iran.
Obama did state that all US combat troops are scheduled to leave Iraq in August of next year, as US troops wind down, Islamic terrorist are moving into the Gaza Strip. It was reported in August that dozens of Sunni Muslim terrorist had entered Gaza during the previous 12 months.
If this does indeed occur Iraq's Prime Minister Nouri al Maliki government is dominated by Shite may likely make more concessions with Iran which is Shite. If Obama follows up with this Iran is believed to fill that void. This should not surprise anyone. I said on more than one occasion that leaving Saddam in power during Desert Storm was a huge mistake, and going back a decade later was worse yet. Iran has grown in leaps and bounds with their military arsenal during the last 8 years, and Russia has been their supplier.
Iran was always the larger threat in the region, and always will be. Israel is right in the middle of all this, and a tiny country at that. Obama will have to make some hard line decisions in the months to come. He will leave it all go or take some drastic measures to curtail Iran's ambitions. Going into Iraq a decade later, and for the wrong reasons will all blow up in the US face someday. What will all of it have accomplished if they unite in some way with Iran, will we go back again?.........whats to stop them? Although it did make fortunes for alot of US corporations, and those at the top. No doubt some US politicians.
He needs the "right" Nato forces to back him. He needs the full support of Pakistans govt and military, or they may risk falling victim to there own homegrown terrorist. If Obama pulls out of Afghanistan, and perhaps he should if he is wavering on sending more troops, and then change US policy about what we will do or not do in the future regarding countries who are not full fledged supporters of the US. This means no money and no military support of any kind.
The UK is encouraging Palestinian settlement in east Jerusalem adding more tension, financing projects to halt Israeli settlement activities.............Guess they have forgotten all to well what occurred in WW11. They are driving a wedge against Israeli-British relations.
We should have pursued Bin Laden, the world at large would have understood that, but no one will ever accept our going into Iraq. It made no sense, we had no legitimate reasons for doing so a decade later. It came on the heels of 911, and Iraq had oil.
Russia and China is to Iran's east. One of the biggest mistakes our govt made in opposition to Russia was the supply of US weaponry to Bin Laden, and the Afghan forces. Russia could have been a real player on the side of the US, instead its kinda like tit for tat, like the old saying you never know what friends you may need someday. IMO they cannot be trusted, nor are they of real concern to Iran other than what they can sell them.........Iran doesn't need Russian oil, but can sell its own oil to China.
If we would have stayed out of wars that posed no security risk to the US, and which ones have since WW11?, Korea has been kept in check, the Cuban missile crisis ended. Just think of what good could have been acomplished in our own country during the last 45 years. For all that was said, and all that was done around the world did nothing to give us the kind of home security we should have, like Israel has, and if we had 911 may have not happened. The US has created alot of enemies in the world, and this alone should have made these borders the safest in the world. US/Mexico borders are still wide open, and our ports lack the kind of real security measures that we should expect from anyone shipping from abroad.
Obama overwhelmed people with his brilliance,
and presented hope with real change.
The lobbyist have spent $375m into this health-care bill for things they did or didn't want.
He stated that the lobbyist needed to stay clear of Washington.??????????????
He stated his intentions for Bin Laden prior to his election, as well as Iraq. ??????????????????
He also stated his intent for Wall Street, and the corporate greed mongers, and that it would no longer be business as usual at the expense of the American laborers, and their pensions, and investments in their companies. The regulatory bodies/agencies would become accountable for making changes that have been absent for decades. He called it an archaic system that doesn't work, and the time for changing it is now. ?????????????????
After a year whats changed?.........lets see a few hundred sent to most Americans with the hope of some reprieve for passing the bailouts?????????????????
Elliot Spitzer stated that in 1967 the avg Ceo's pay was 40 to 1 for what the avg worker was paid. Today its 550 to 1 but most workers have seen no improvement in their lives when it comes to the cost of living, its been flat to nill, and many have seen their wages cut. Most are in debt up the ying yang.??????????????????????
Mind you this is the avg Ceo, for many and I mean many which includes the payouts for Hedge Fund mgrs, 550 is not just a low ball figure, its not even a figure on the charts. In just a year rake in more than what some countries do, and as much that might allow them to buy and start their own country. Not much is said today regarding this kind of corruption, its better to wait for a meltdown, and bailouts and bankruptcies the individual is not privy to, and to reward all those involved with taxpayers money.??????????????????????
Subject: Are you Kathlick
THREE LITTLE BOYS were concerned because they couldn't get anyone to play with them.
They decided it was because they had not been baptized and didn't go to Sunday school
So they went to the nearest church. But, only the janitor was there.
One little boy said, "We need to be baptized because no one will come out and play with us.
Will you baptize us?"
Sure," said the janitor.
He took them into the bathroom and dunked their little heads in the toilet bowl, one at a time.
Then he said, "You are now baptized!"
When they got outside, one of them asked, "'What religion do you think we are?"
The oldest one said, "We're not Kathlick, because they pour the water on you."
"We're not Babtis, because they dunk all of you in the water."
"We're not Methdiss, because they just sprinkle water on you."
The littlest one said, "Didn't you smell that water?"
They all joined in asking, 'Yeah! What do you think that means?'
"I think it means we're Pisskopailians!"

The statement: Try to stop us!
The msg: We're gonna become a super power, when we speak the world will listen, once we become nuclear, and if we decide to take out Israel in the future, the US will tremble from the thought of targeting us or attacking us.
This is all about power, terrorism, and control of the Middle East. Who knows what Iran has on their drawing table, but its obvious they have plans, and since Pakistan is gonna harbor al qaeda due to its fear of reprisal its possible to foresee them getting their hands on their nuclear sites. For them not to box them in with the US, and for Obama not to push this issue may open the door to some future event of this kind.
Iran is an always has been one the most terrorist countries in the world, and its well known that they have terrorist training camps for Hezbollah which is no more than al qaeda's counterpart. These fears can be substantiated with the US setting up an embassy in Iraq, and them concluding the need for remaining a presence there for who knows?.....The next hundred years?..........Iran feared Saddam because they never knew what he had in his military arsenal, and the US should have either got him during Desert Storm when it was justified, or lived up to their UN mandate, and stayed out of Iraq. No love was lost between Iraq and Iran. The UN mandate didn't rope and tie the US from going in after him, and his sons.
Bush Jr., senior, and Cheney no doubt saw things through windows of opportunity for themselves, and their corporate buddies, and that countries oil reserves, but who couldn't see past their noses regarding Bin Laden, because of their close ties with the Bin Laden family. What we have seen is 8 years is death and destruction, trillions of dollars in cost, and instability, and Americans paying for these losses in more ways than one, our Nation suffers in both human life, and monetary cost at the American peoples expense, and the families who lost love ones, and friends who have lost friends, suffers the anguish, and foots the bill.
Our real primary focus should have always been on Iran, and Pakistan who have been given untold sums of money to keep them as an ally, something they haven't been when the rubber meets the road, and may someday pose as much a danger as Iran for not helping to end al qaeda's existence, and ending the known rebels abilities to mount attacks within their country, India, Spain, or anywhere else.
If Ike, or Patton, or Bradley, or MacArthur and others could have been around to analyse a battle plan after 911, I doubt that it would have been Iraq, not before Afghanistan was resolved, and Pakistan getting on track which should have ended 7 years ago, and then this would have opened the door with what to do about Iran. They couldn't have fled into Iraq or used that country without first having met with the end of Saddam's guns. Iran could have then stayed front and center during the last 7 to 8 years now.
Its gotta make you wonder where are the brilliant commanders of today?, the ones that left Iraq at the beginning of that war in Iraq, and chose to retire?,,,,,leaving the troops to practically command themselves. This was imo the first indication that they weren't gonna bite into what they knew was the wrong place to go to war..........Obama's tuff talk is beginning to sound more like a squeak for not sending reinforcements into Afghanistan and our weaponry to clean it up once and for all.
Enjoy The Ride
This is slow to load, be patient, and turn on your volume.
I really needed to pass this along to all of you, my hope is you'll do the same?.

We may awake to the morning or maybe the evening news to learn that he meant exactly what he said. Amadidajad stated that if Israel follows thru they will greatly regret it, words of aggression.
"Does this not say it all?".............a secret enrichment plant on a military installation goes without questioning why???..
Iran better be careful, it doesn't want to position itself against the US, and other nations with his threats. Instead of the US listening to Amadidajads rhetoric give him the same choice as was given Saddam.
Your right!., Obama needs to follow thru with what he promised those who elected him, and clean house, ultimately he will have to come back to the American people for his second term.
Excerpts from something I was reading:
Who are the Manipulators? Sometimes, even I don’t know their names and even the floor traders who do their bidding don’t know exactly who they are.
Sometimes, their names are well-known: Geihtner, Kravis, Buffett, Bass, Rainwater
Most of the time, though, the Manipulators are very, very low profile, private groups.
It has been noted that Goldman Sachs has developed code that manipulates the New York Stock Exchange.
But Goldman is simply one (very powerful) Manipulator among many.
Together…
They decide the price of oil
They decide the market’s direction (bullish today)
They decide the head fake of the week (this week: China loan trouble)
They decide which cronies get government help, which get hung out to dry.
The press calls them dark pools or flash traders, the government calls them speculators and everyone calls them bad.
One journalist calls the Manipulators, and I quote: “Vampire squid sucking the face of humanity.”
The Manipulators have grabbed billions from the Government and used it to run up stocks.
Good Post!. A house divided will fall.
We first must be objective on the premise that they are all lying to us. All we need to do is to give a good look at the govts history, and our country today. We can start with the wars we've been involved in, the economy, the job market and annual income for the avg American, outsourcing, in-sourcing, and the flood of illegals in the country, the nations infrastructure, crime and gang violence, tax revenue and what its been used for?. The crimes that have been committed in Congress by every elected official to include the former Presidents whose in the service of lobbyist who are in the service of corporations, and special interest groups. The highlight of it all has been what we have all witnessed over the last 8 years, in particular its result over the last 2, and it isn't the first, but the first on such a monumental scale other than the Great Depression.
How did our (dis) "Honorable?", elected officials decide to resolve these issues?.........It appears that they decided to give out a trillion if not trillions for an unjustified war, and bailouts, war always serves as a great diversion from what really is going on in DC, its as good as keeping the American people tuned into boxing match, or baseball, etc., which didn't last for 12 rounds, or even a season, but 8 years, and Bin Laden is still sending messages, guess because he was never in Iraq or involved in Iraqi politics, unlike the US, and now we find ourselves with the dilemma of Afghanistan, and what to do about what was neglected for 8 years, not at all like their good ole "buddies", the ones they protect, and are in bed with who trade on the NYSE who have profited into the hundreds of billions from it all.
It truly appears that the past administration, and its cronies used 911 as a means to make money from it, Afghanistan was put on the back burner, and the reasoning behind it was the acceptance that the Pakistan govt would not "allow" the US to pursue Bin Laden and his terrorist organization was due to them having fled into their country which was given, and protected them, or rather "safe harbor".
The Bush family had and probably still has very close ties with the Bin Laden family of Saudi Arabia. Doesn't it all seem rather odd, and strange that Bin Laden was really never pursued?. Bush even recanted the remarks he made against Bin Laden at the end of his last term. One of the things he had said that he later regretted was, that he wanted him "dead or alive". Not that so many Americans had lost their lives from his decision, or the cost to the American people for his pursuits elsewhere, and fighting a nice war in Afghanistan. He may as well as said, for he having hurt the Bin Laden family's feelings.
Kinda like the King Pin of the Drug Cartel in Columbia who controlled that govt thru the use of intimidation, terror tactics, and murder of politicians, policemen, and civilians that was stepped up when he was faced with extradition to the US. In fact the politicians even changed its constitution with the hope that the Kingpin would cooperate, and face incarceration in their country.........that didn't last for long, he walked out of the prison the Kingpin had built for himself, and within a short while released himself, or rather walked out and away from it, eventually he was killed by their special ops with the help of the US tracking his location thru phone calls. Not so for Pakistan's govt. Today al qaeda is stronger than ever, kinda like the time Iraq had for strengthening itself after the US pulled out from Desert Storm with an uncompleted mission. But this was old mans Bush's decision, and until Saddam arose as some real threat to the US in the future, which would promise total annihilation of their country, probably never to it or Israel, but did pose a threat to Iran, and kept them in check.
The other side to all this, if the US would have not interfered with Russia's war with Afghanistan, 911 may have never occurred, and it may have only been a matter of time before they either captured or killed him. The Muslims up near the Russian border have committed all kinds of terrorist acts against its people since they pulled out from the US backing the very same rebels they were pursuing. A war the US had no business in, and that wasn't the first, and some of the reasons why Russia resorts to its tactics, like furnishing weapons to Iran, and Venezuela. All those who have been and still are hostile toward the US like Cuba see's Russia as its friend...........and who were more than happy to set up nuclear launch sites during after Kennedy was elected, if the missiles were furnished.
45 years, and alot of the same ole stuff, and career politicians have nearly brought this country to its knees. Whats behind most of is their persistent positioning for the levels of power, and with the right help they achieve it, and with it comes more money than they could have ever imagined.

:))).........Assets?
Sounds like another strategic plan of BS..............his only plan is how to continue to use this one of many symbols in the hope of keeping this piggy bank working. Have ya ever heard such a line of double talk. He's done nothing for years but file 504's. He can't operate when he takes the money for business operations. He has never made a red cent from the Payday mines, or investors, never intended to, never will. He never has disclosed what he has done with all the money he raked in from investors other than we discovering he paid himeself $350k, just one of many payouts for himself.
No doubt!!.......they want an edge, more like edges, and boy are they protective of those Hedges "Hedgies", especially those that operate off shore.............the Cayman's is where the "real", Caribbean pirates operate, an with total immunity. There are also 241 banks that operate there, and they also have their own currency. From there they can transfer anywhere..........even to the UBS bank or others in Switzerland.............
I'm not sure of any cost to do a filing?........Their reasoning behind it is to "raise money" they don't have. I believe its just a matter of downloading the application. But if this would be true?, I can see the reasoning behind the SEC supporting such nonsense............Its like having a license to run a charity for oneself, and if its incorporated in Nevada or one of the other seven, even better......No taxes!. We should all get into this racket, we could at least level the playing field.
They've been doing what?????? We have heard that we have the most regulated markets in the world. Who says we don't have fair trading markets?..........Yeah!! if we believe in the Russian traditions where the scams of corruption is something that is accepted as fair, and in the sickle and hammer where an average investor will get sliced, then diced, then pounded.

SEC proposes new rules for credit rating industry; considers ban on 'flash orders'

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Regulators have proposed rules to stem conflicts of interest and provide more transparency for credit rating companies. They also proposed banning "flash orders," which give some traders a split-second edge in buying or selling stocks.
The changes, which are open to public comment for 60 days, could eventually be adopted by the agency, possibly with revisions.
The credit rating industry was widely faulted for its role in the subprime mortgage debacle and the financial crisis. The five members of the Securities and Exchange Commission voted at a public meeting Thursday to propose rules that could reshape an industry dominated by three firms: Standard & Poor's, Moody's Investors Service and Fitch Ratings. Their practices would be opened wider to public view and subject to some restraints.
Regulators say they also hope to spur more competition in the rating industry, with possibly new entrants -- as well as the other seven existing agencies -- challenging the dominant firms. One of the SEC's proposals is intended to bar companies from "shopping" for favorable ratings of their securities, by requiring companies to disclose whether they had received preliminary ratings from other agencies.
Meanwhile, flash orders have become a hot-button issue in recent weeks amid questions about transparency and fairness on Wall Street. A flash order refers to certain members of exchanges -- often large institutions -- buying and selling information about ongoing stock trades milliseconds before that information is made public.
Nasdaq OMX Group Inc., which operates the Nasdaq Stock Market, and the BATS exchange have voluntarily stopped using flash orders, which made up an estimated 3 percent of stock trading. The New York Stock Exchange has never used them.
In July, Sen. Charles Schumer, D-N.Y., had called on the SEC to ban flash orders, threatening legislation if it failed to act. "This proposal will once and for all get rid of flash trading, which if left untouched, could seriously undermine the fairness and transparency of our markets," Schumer said in a statement Thursday.
The rating agencies are crucial financial gatekeepers, issuing ratings on the creditworthiness of public companies and securities. Their grades can be key factors in determining a company's ability to raise or borrow money, and at what cost which securities will be purchased by banks, mutual funds, state pension funds or local governments.
But the rating agencies have been criticized for failing to identify risks in securities backed by subprime mortgages. They had to downgrade thousands of the securities last year as home-loan delinquencies soared and the value of those investments plummeted. The downgrades contributed to hundreds of billions in losses and writedowns at big banks and investment firms.
In a rule that was formally adopted Thursday, the agencies will have to disclose the history of their ratings actions, which normally include reasons for them, back to mid-2007 -- when the SEC gained authority to regulate the agencies by law.
Also, agencies that are paid by companies to rate complex securities -- such as those underpinned by mortgages or student loans, as opposed to more traditional corporate or municipal bonds -- must now notify the other agencies that it is in the process of determining the rating.
Under another proposed rule, the agencies would have to publicly disclose every entity that paid for a credit rating. They also would have to provide more information about income earned from companies they rate.
"These proposals are needed because investors often consider ratings when evaluating whether to purchase or sell a particular security," SEC Chairman Mary Schapiro said before the vote. "That reliance did not serve them well over the last several years, and it is incumbent upon us to do all that we can to improve the reliability and integrity of the ratings process."
In California, Attorney General Jerry Brown launched an investigation into the three big credit rating agencies to determine what role they might have played in the collapse of the financial markets. Brown said he had subpoenaed the three firms to determine whether they violated state law in "recklessly giving stellar ratings to shaky assets."
In July, the California Public Employees' Retirement System sued the agencies, saying they had lured the fund into bad investments. The nation's largest public pension fund blames them for more than $1 billion in investment losses.
The SEC commissioners took their action during a week when memories of the collapse of Lehman Brothers a year ago were fresh in Washington.
"There is general consensus that the rating agencies contributed significantly to the damage and the widespread loss of confidence," said Commissioner Luis Aguilar.
Spokesmen for Standard & Poor's had no immediate comment. Representatives of Fitch and Moody's couldn't immediately be reached for comment. The three firms have said they already have taken steps to increase transparency and will continue to make further enhancements in the future.
I don't know what additional cost is involved thru a backdoor merger?. Neither do the many who want to get involved in this dirty business. A private holding company may have a line of these symbols, some clean, some not so clean, and this will determine the price they sale at. They will give they buyer the financing thru "them" getting stock ownership. They may very well have their own shyster atty, or can put them on to one...............in other words the seller, can actually be anyone, the owner of the pink who already ran the gambit, here today, gone tomorrow, and that person may be offered a similar deal, and in turn get his money from the new symbol, and becomes something like a private partner, but either way they are all private partners, and rarely in a company, more like the new BS thats about to be spun, and the buyer will release PR's that promises all kinds of BS in hopes to pull in investors, and many play on market trends, like oil, natural gas, whatever is getting the interest of investors.
The Otc market is where these gambling bets were made thru the likes of AIG, into the trillions of dollars in CDS's. Not even real insurance, not even real insurance policies, these were nothing but agreements, and fraudulently covered these bets without the cash to back them. My understanding is that Aig, rather the taxpayer, "is on the hook" for $440b of Aig's fraud, and the govt wasted no time in giving them already $175b, a company estimated to be worth $1b, and would have gone belly up if the govt didn't step in. The reasons why they did was due to all the innocent investors who were tied to either their stock and bonds, or annuities. In additon to them carrying insurance for the airlines, and "Dollywood actors"..................the good ole Congress will now find other means to tax in an attempt to recover these losses, it will either be this or borrow borrow borrow. Your next coke may cost ya $2 a bottle, and then there's gas, and cigs, and alcohol, and whatever else they can think of.
The present Gov of our State was proposing a tax on dairy farmers, for the gas emmissions given off by cows.........guess we will be next?. :)
Acorn has received $54 million since 1994, and this is subsidised or paid through HUD............according to CNN. Over a 15 year period this amounts to just under $4 million per year, paid for by US taxpayers dollars. When did the taxpayer vote for this kind of govt allocation?, is this something the census bureau should take the responsiblity for, or should our State elected officials?
Another source says their is little to no transparency for how this money is used?.............
The biggest question of all is, "should the country pay for a special interest group or organization who serves its own best interest?".........We already have a Census Bureau, and anyone can do an absentee ballot. Its obvious to me that Hud should be eliminated, but its organzations such as this who are its biggest supporters.
They can finance many of these backdoor mergers for a song and dance initially with as little as $5k to $10k down. Its a means to and end for another 504D, under the assumption this new company will pull in new investors.
Absolutely!!!!!!!!!
Pres. Carter is such a moron!, he should think before he gives speeches on racism. Tell it straight!!!
If he really wants to know who the racist are, its this 1%, these fat -----!, I'll let you fill in the blanks, the 10,000 hedgies in the Cayman's, and the ones here at home, and all those who are tied to lobbyist, politicians those in office, and those who are now lobbyist, and board members of corporations which would make up most inside the beltway, in particular the Republicans who support this kinda of "free market" activity, Cox, Paulson, Greenspan, who had all their players in place who they controlled, all guilty for this meltdown, and prior "corrections" or rather controlled stealing, and panics in the market.............
The ones who are really ganging up Obama are primarily this crowd........Anyone that entertains the thoughts of Cheney being America's grandfather, or that Bush secured our country from outside threats, or that the American working class, "the blue colar worker", played such a major responsible part for this meltdown is delusional.
Whose responsible for the people who continue to do illegal drugs that are toxic?, the ones that OD, or the ones that get hooked?, like heroin, and opium, cocaine?...........those who are bringing into the country, the buyers on the street, or the street dealer?............Kinda like going after any disease, first find its source and then quarantine it, like TB...................I know there would be no market without buyers, but the idea behind it is to get people hooked, like crack, and the rest is easy. The govt makes bundles on the huge bust, and with zero tolerance????........stop the source, like the controlling the border, and the ports is a good place as any to start, then make sure every opium field in Afghanistan is burned to the soil. The question arises, do they really really want to?
Who controlled the banks, the loans, wall-street, the rating agencies, the analyst, the Fed, the Treasury, the SEC, and all the other agencies that knew exactly what they were doing, and not doing................if loans were so easy to obtain, like it was said, an out of work arsonist could get a loan, and the loan officer may have been a former pizza delivery man.
No border control, no port security, the lack of a pro-active dept of immigration due to our elected officials tying their hands what should this country expect?........gangs today primarily exist from revenues generated from illegal drugs, which also entail illegal guns.
Republicans want to get back in control, and Obama needs to see that his real threat comes from those who have not only led this nation down the river, and out to sea, and the most of it can now be found abroad, and is what is destroying us from within, and abroad. They wanted to give it up as long as it best served them, and as we can see, it has, they are nothing more than prostitutes for the highest bidder......
What will it take to change things, if this wasn't it what is?
These greedy fat -----! don't care what happens to this country, most have a half dozen homes outside the US with yatchs, as well as their money, and many have their own plane to their destinations, or have friends who have.
There are as many democrats in Congress that fair no better than these republicans.
What the American people need to focus on is getting control of the govt by cleaning house, and keep term limits front and center with greater recall abilities, just like healthcare for all americans have been on every network in the country so should this be.
Breaktime:
:))) He's the best!!
That info came from a judge who knows constitutional law, but you are right in saying they're getting free health care now, and they are part of the social security system, kinda like a pool for those who work here since they have paid taxes.
Reminds of something Capone said, "How can anyone be sent to prison for tax evasion from selling something that is already illegal?"
Capitalism that's not an equal opportunity employer,,,,,,,,,we are all witness to this............Capitalism here in America is based on a system of Plutocracy,,,,,,,,,,among other things.
How can it be when 1% of America's wealthiest possess 90% of its wealth, more than 90% of America's population combined. It appears someone has been dealing with a fixed deck, like the Casino's, they see us coming, and have everyone believing they will become the next millionaire. Just step up, and buy some chips, then go play Black Jack, it will always be the next hand that wins. If by chance you do security will want to take ya in the back for a once over to make ya say ya cheated!, so ya have to give up at least some or all of it, kinda like the IRS when it comes to the avg American worker.
Another one?.........it was a suggestion from my Mother In Law...........she is a life long democrat. I do like Front Line, and also the Count on Sesame Street. :))
As you stated, thats the Bottom line. Money is the heartbeat of politicians and its main source for corruption. Attacking al qaeda in Afghanistan would have been just, but Iraq?, and the reasons for going back, makes about as much sense as rewarding all the crooks that caused this meltdown. 8 years later, and Bin Laden is still sending messages. 8 years in Iraq!!!!!!!, again for all those involoved to make billions off govt contracts.
Fox is republican, and Msnbc is democrat, and each have their agenda's. PBS may be a better news source.
I was interested in voting for Huckabee, even though I have reservations about any of them, he impressed me to be genuine, and I thought him to be more of an Independent, but we never know till they get in, and how they service the country and the American people?.
Term limits would be a solution to an age old problem, and something that should be front and center on the American peoples minds.............one term for a Senator, and 2 for a Congressman. Any who are found to guilty of legislating for lobbyist should then be up for recall, and the loss of benefits they may be eligilbe for..........Lobbyist are at the core of DC's corruption.
http://www.factcheck.org/2009/02/the-stimulus-bill-and-acorn/
This is what I found on google.
One of the biggest problem Obama is facing is what he really does here at home, and if he is successful in getting things accomplished?.
Wall Street, and the way public corporations have been allowed to operate in the market, and how he really deals with lobbyist?. Shortselling, exec comp pkgs, and their will to keep business operating as usual will play a major factor imo, so far its business as usual........if we remain in a recession and if it gets worse it will be uphill.........if he chooses to listen to their BS and so many in Congress to include Geitner, and not shut the door on the corruption, the border, and secure our ports will be all the other issues.
Don't forget the American people were dumb enough to keep the Republican presidents in power for years, including Bush for 2 terms, and many in Congress are still around, or are now lobbyist............
Like Lewis Black said it best, "the democrats are a party of bad ideas, and the republicans are a party of no ideas", when a democrat stands in the House and says, "I have a bad idea!", the repubican then stands and says, "Yes!, and I can make it even shittier!"
If a National Health Care Bill is passed, constitutionally or the way our Constitution is written cannot exclude illegal aliens from receiving it, no matter what language is written in it.
The next question, are there things in the Constitution that needs to be changed?.........like some of the old laws that have been on the books for at least a couple centuries.
Once its passed and its challenged before the Supreme Court, in particular with the newly seated judge will get overturned. When Obama says no illegals will be able access it, its simply untrue, and he having studied Constitutional Law should know this.
Changing gears who thus far has benefitted from the bailout that occurred, or the stimulus pkg?...........or the Iraq War for that matter?............certainly not the American people.
I also understand that Afghanistan is not just becoming a disinterest to Congress, it never was, like nailing down Bin Laden. The biggest of reasons should be weighed on that countries resources?.........I think they would be hard pressed to justify them getting involved in the opium trade.
But Iraq???????? thats a different story.
No crazier than those of Msnbc,,,,,,,,networks of propaganda.
Both parties are full of it.
