Who are the Manipulators? Sometimes, even I don’t know their names and even the floor traders who do their bidding don’t know exactly who they are.
Sometimes, their names are well-known: Geihtner, Kravis, Buffett, Bass, Rainwater
Most of the time, though, the Manipulators are very, very low profile, private groups.
It has been noted that Goldman Sachs has developed code that manipulates the New York Stock Exchange.
But Goldman is simply one (very powerful) Manipulator among many.
Together…
They decide the price of oil
They decide the market’s direction (bullish today)
They decide the head fake of the week (this week: China loan trouble)
They decide which cronies get government help, which get hung out to dry.
The press calls them dark pools or flash traders, the government calls them speculators and everyone calls them bad.
One journalist calls the Manipulators, and I quote: “Vampire squid sucking the face of humanity.”
The Manipulators have grabbed billions from the Government and used it to run up stocks.
