Nothing specific right now. But I do as much house repair myself as I can. Did a lot of "DIY" work on bicycles back-in-the day when racing etc ...
So, what's your "do it yourselfer" you're doing these days?
Nice song and the reasons for it. It's fun to walk down memory lane.
Combination of things. I borrowed a great big brewpot from someone, but had to give it back. About the same time, went through a big kitchen remodel, so the house was a mess, combined with little kids wearing me out, and just drinking less ...... It's a lot of work, and there's a great variety available these days too.
Thanks Shelly,
I actually really liked the show. Grab some popcorn and binge starting with season 1.
You gotta kind of a dark sense of humor and there are some parts that are kinda sad. Cult classic though.
Ellen Muth is hilarious.
Thanks again for the compliment.
Not only that but we used to sing this song:
I KNEW we could do it!!!!! Thanks for figuring that out!
(Edit - next time use caps for H, A, B!)
....and as young Dan toured the Willys assembly plant in awe the words 'holy toledo' were born.
no, that was it.
Right back at ya Jason! I have a son-in-law named Jason. Hey....GO OU!!!
Oh, I've just had fun chatting with ppl and hearing their stories. I think putting it in the iBox is a nice touch, but no big deal - when it happens it does. :)
I gotta get caught up with putting names in Ibox when I get time.
Nice to meet you Count.
Jason
Renee, one of the nicest people I've met on iHub, has agreed to help out here as a Mod as well. Welcome and thank you so much!
Btw, anyone else who is interested in other Users' stories, who is kind! and has any interest in going in as Mod, please let Flo or I know.
So, individuals had cameras or it was one of those old timey ones where you see a photographer with a camera, a black sheet over his head and then some crazy sort of external flash?

Did they change the Breakout boards yet? Are we going to be included now? ;)
Sure. The problem was you had to take the exposed film to a drugstore to have it developed. That was probably before you were born. :) Later we had the 35mm slide camera's. You might remember those.
I still have the original for that picture and lots of other old ones. I scanned it so now I have a digital copy.
Wait - that was the name of it, right? Bob's site? Clearly no longer if I have it right...

Maybe I'm looney...
HA! I bet your sig tagline is why I thought of the Count. You should use that as your avatar. :)
I feel like we're back on Talkzilla. :)
Wow - they had cameras back then? ;)
That's the best part of sending you messages Shelly, always brings me a smile :)
Haha - Paulie - what a resource you are! Here I was calling it an anagram and it was really just Zar trying to thwart the multiple alias rule. Nicely done. :)
Well, and, of course, "shell" being the first 5 letters in my name! I'm sure that must've been part of your decision making process. lol
Wow, what a philosophical guy you are! "We all have the opportunity to choose our own destiny...Choose well."
I also believe in the "reap what you sow" theory but would never have understood that's where you were coming from when I saw reaper.
Was the show any good? Or just sounded good?
I know a lot of ppl are critical about iHub and the TOS, but I agree with you - it levels the playing field. Everyone gets to voice their opinion and everyone else can choose to debate, argue, ignore, agree - whatever without being ridiculed for holding an opinion different than anyone else's. Well, in theory anyway. :)
Thanks for sharing - that was very cool to read.
Lol! Years ago somebody else looked at it that way as well. Kept calling me Count. The more I thought about it the more I liked it so I started signing with it at the end.
Count
I have to ask - do you still not sleep well? I had an awful night of sleep last night - awake every hour - and that hasn't happened to me in years. I was kind of worthless in different things today.
Do you nap? Or just go through life sort of a zombie?
Very interesting - my kids have been very into the Rick Riordan books over the last 7 years of so...I thought I knew every Greek and Roman God there were but this is a new one. Thanks!
That was really funny! I didn't watch it religiously but always loved Fresh Prince. You know at one time Will Smith said he was going to be President...Don't know if that's still his aspiration but, what an interesting Pres, he would be. :)
Ha! After 7 years, I'm still so slow at figuring out aliases! Every time I've seen yours I've always thought of the Count from Sesame Street. lol
Hahaha - never would've guessed that! Why should we envy you? ;)
You "used to" - what happened that a do it yourselfer decided to stop brewing his own? :)
Wow - so does your boat stay in dock at all times? Or do you go places and then come back? I know next to nothing about boating and especially house boating.
The first dogs my husband and I got as a couple were 2 cocker spaniels. Their owner was moving to San Francisco to live on a houseboat and didn't think it would work for them.
At the time, we lived in Lower Alabama and they had free roam. They got their water from Mobile Bay.
We took them and, even though we were on the Bay, we lived in a tiny apartment and they had a huge time adjusting.
The houseboat might have worked better for them. :)
See? That's why I love this board!!! I had never heard of Cassius Clay previously...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cassius_Marcellus_Clay_%28politician%29
And, anecdotally had no idea that was Muhammad Ali's original name.
Do ppl shorten it to Cass?
Thanks so much for sharing. :)
And, as I understand, it was a Canadian car ... eh.
flo, sorry to be taken up so much space on cars. if anyone wants to continue the discussion there is another good, forgotten board.
http://investorshub.advfn.com/Cars-etc-GEARHEAD-1014/
the meteor was a little bigger. sister car to the ford fairlane. the comet/falcon was the precursor to the mustang.
My 1st car was similar ..... A '63 Mercury Meteor.
i miss three on the trees.
I used to have a 63 comet. 260 V8 3 speed on the column. Could get a 3rd gear scratch believe it or not.
Count
I had the right family. :)
I give. What is it? Ford?
Thanks. Lots of memories there.
