2 reasons for my alias:

I was an Ocean Systems Technician during the cold war. A Naval 'shore-duty sub-hunter'. We would send the P-3 sub-finders to the location of the enemy subs. Anti-Submarine Warfare.

My first loser stock was ASW listed on the NYSE. It was too big a coincidence that the ticker was ASW. I found it as a 'Story Stock' and just knew that it would rebound. I bought it as it fell to $8 from $50 on scandal. I tried to catch the falling knife, multiple times, and lost several fingers in the process. I believed the lying CEO & averaged down to the bottom of the hole. Rumors turned out to be true and ASW became ACLNF and sits in my account as a sunken monument & painful reminder of my first very expensive stock lesson.
