The ironic twist of it all is that his interest in shutting down contrarian narratives in lieu of providing tangible evidence to prove his narrative is precisely what led his most loyal followers to see the light. The moment he downplayed the importance of bringing GenViro to market while overplaying the importance of shutting down dissidends is the moment the pumpers figured out they were supporting one man's pursuit of a life of excess, not a business.
Page 16 onward of Exhibit 7 are a masterclass in gaslighting.
Absolutely.
... and that is the difficulty when people are gas-lighted. Its very hard to help those who are unwilling to help themselves.
The same effect happens in cults, domestic abuse situations and autocracies.
Dissent is not always a bad thing.Be very wary of those trying to shut it down.
Listening to 'opponents' can be very helpful.
You did a public good. You recognized this was a scam based on the science, and did everything you possibly could to try to stop people from making a terrible mistake.
I'm sure some people took your advice, but there were psychological factors at play. The main "elites" seem to have viewed him as a friend, and they had friendships with other investors and trusted their "family" over a random person on the internet going against their hero. Page 16 onward of Exhibit 7 are a masterclass in gaslighting. Those investors were used as a fiddle until they lost confidence there was a product and wouldn't continue fighting for him without one. I think at least some of them would thank you for trying to help them but they're probably (and understandably) a bit embarrassed. It's nuts this went on into 2022.

Fooled a lot of us for many years.
Yes, I saw that as well.
When you're dealing with a habitual liar, you are dealing with a sick mind. This is another example of how broken our criminal system has become. What he really needs is mental help, not to be locked away at taxpayers' expense.
I've dealt with folks like this before. Its common that they have gone through much of their life lying to everyone. So much so that family will distance themselves and the person becomes isolated and ends up hating the rest of the world, believing everyone is wrong and out to get them. All one has to do is read text messages to understand what I'm describing. Berman fits this mental illness to a "T".
The sad part is, they lie so much, they begin to believe their own lie.
There is a good chance is first lawyer saw this and bailed on him.
The lying was certainly of a pathological extent.
But is sociopathy a legitimate defence?
Sure I would not want to be in his shoes right now, and nor would anyone else I suspect!.
But how many years of 'golf and titties' -(to quote one of those exhibits)- was Berman funding for himself off the sweat and savings of those he could delude.
I bet there's more than a few of his victims would have traded places with him then!
I suppose that is possible, but like you said, either it's all completely calculated or there is some serious mental illness going on.
And don't forget the other message board....
Looking thru the exhibits over the years, the lies are many.

I have literally years of correspondence like this.
Too bad the other CEO we both know and love won't be arrested for his "crimes" against his shareholders. And you missed all of the fun while you were gone.
Sorry, can't help you.
Yes! I enjoyed reading exhibit 7 even more.
It was entertaining, especially the part about Barbara Asbell and Berman suing the posters on Yahoo years ago after all the posters bringing them to light.
It's always telling when a CEO is more concerned about what a message board is posting versus working to drive sales and prove them wrong.
Glad to see this finally seeing the light of day.
wasn't this wild boar hog trading in the millions...before the arrest
I'm touched!
I think one of my ihub posts made page 28/35 of exhibit 8!
Bless you Keith!
Ok.. you called me IT 'watcher' (not IPwatcher)
And my name is not Ian.
And my name is not Kennedy! (No idea who Ian Kennedy is btw!)
And I have NEVER posted on the YH board. Not as 'S' or using any other avatar.
And I didn't 'call' the German Government. I emailed them (BfarmS)
And I wasn't taking any chances at all when I emailed them using my own name (which I most assuredly did!).
Because to be 'actionable', what I emailed and posted would have to have been untrue.
And it wasn't!
I stand by every word of it!
Good to know you read it though Keith!!! If it caused some questions to be asked of you, then that's all to the good,

Where are you getting the doc from?
Exhibit 5 is interesting as it represents the first evidence of ANY independent party assessment of ANY Genviro labelled device to identify ANY instance of Covid like substance with a confirmatory control system:
Exhibit 8 has a play by play of the elite shareholders realizing you guys were right. They'll never thank you guys but that seed of doubt you planted in their minds is likely why they did not double down after Pedima.
Exhibit 7 is the most revealing. When you realize he knew he never had a kit, it paints a clear psychological portrait.
With the medical issues, I believe there's a factual core to them because why would a doctor risk their freedom and livelihood to lie so he could avoid trial? He also doesn't seem to have been in the best of shape, and I imagine that the influx of cortisol after being caught easily could have created something so while I agree that a second opinion seems warranted, my personal belief is that there is probably an actual basis to them. I'm glad that nobody else will get scammed as I don't know how the Pedima nonsense went on for as long as it did, but knowing older people with medical conditions makes it difficult for me to celebrate his current predicament but I do understand why many, especially his victims, would.
Regarding why his lawyer left, I agree there could be something there, especially if he found out about the loans. I imagine that would have been incredibly awkward. It seems that all everybody exposing the Pedima and delivery myths accomplished was leading him to set his sights on investment banks. Maybe that's better. Maybe it's not. I'm not sure.
not went------------GONE......the saying is ''the moneys gone --JOHN''
But I did think it was possible he had a god complex, discounted his scientist's advice, and believed his methodology would work until I looked at the exchanges another poster mentioned in April 2020. Hindsight being 20/20, it doesn't seem like he wanted the FDA or EMA anywhere near this, which could be due to a distrust of governments. I just don't believe that it is.
No, I believe he knew the entire time. In early April, he chastised a poster who was trying to get an FDA scientist experienced with sereology kits to look into GenViro. He claimed it was because it was not a sereology kit but I don't believe that was the real reason. However, I don't wish the amount of stress he must be under on anyone and think that you guys calling it out so early should have been an obvious tell that he was going to get caught. Had he stopped and played ball at that point, far fewer investors would have lost and his own situation would be less perilous (to quote the indictment). I think that there are probably many penny stock CEOs like him but most would listen to their lawyer's advice. It's the irrationality that combined with the age and medical issues make me feel a wee bit bad for him, but I believe that his shareholders deserve justice.
Do you truly believe?
I just don't understand where all of the money raised could have went. It would be nice if some poirtion were returned to investors. There is no question no new investors should invest in this. There is no business to invest in.
un less yu are a bank--do not throw money at this scam
You were trying to help people but I don't really find any of this funny and regret making fun of it. Everybody involved suffered. It's regrettable that everybody, including Berman didn't listen to you.
The issue is the X-Prize Competition was limited to tests that could work right now:
"The winning teams will develop COVID-19 tests that are radically affordable compared to what’s currently available on the market. For about the price of a latte, the tests will be equal to (or better than) commercial offerings at measuring sensitivity, specificity, and limit of detection, with a maximum turnaround time of 12-hours from sample to result. The winning teams will also be able to successfully deploy and conduct a minimum of 500 tests per week at a live testing site within 60 days, and have the potential to scale their solutions to thousands of tests per week."
These requirements were unfair to companies that did not have a working test but wanted money as if they did. This selfish organization prioritized increasing public access to tests to save lives over awarding prize money to one individual. Its values were all wrong.
But sarcasm aside, how on earth do you turn your investors against a charity committed to world health? Of all things to fight. Might as well tell them to punch a nun while they're at it.
What takes the cake for me is that he took his most loyal investors who he knew were going to lose everything, and used them to do his bidding at legal risk to themselves all while planning to dilute the smitherines out of them. At a time the world is against you, you have a few loyal allies who stand behind you, and that's how you repay them. Something about that strikes me as particularly cruel-hearted. I know you can't be a nice guy to run a scheme like this but this was his inner circle, the people who backed him through thick and thin, and to have such a callous disregard for them is less entertaining than it is sad.
Unbelievable! I just read the Government's entire Release Revocation justification. Berman is obviously a very sick puppy!
This is the best part.
Mon Dieu! Le pauvre prisonnier!

Anyone in DC on March 30? Please! Stop by and video him being lead out of the van into the court, shackled.... and share with him our "best wishes"!
In the meantime, I wonder if they serve ham sandwiches in jail? 10 days is a long time to go without a ham sandwich. (My posts from a couple of years ago used to say that this company is nothing but a single man, in his basement, on a laptop, in his underwear, eating a ham sandwich).
Hope he has a good flight to DC, travelling with his Federal "friend".
Finally we have the answer to a question that has been exercising many people hereabouts:
Q: Who will wind up in jail first: Berman or Trump?
A:Berman takes it - By half a length (with a bit of luck, and any justice)
Keith Berman, CEO of DECN commented, "GenViro for the Coronavirus (covid19) began as an outgrowth of our GenUltimate TBG product line. What makes the testing for the Coronavirus possible, and the GenUltimate TBG special, is the company's Impedance measurement technology.
https://www.frontiersin.org/articles/10.3389/fmicb.2015.00940/full
While infectious disease testing and management has not previously been a part of our business model, we seized on this "do good" opportunity because our "Gen" line of products are and have been manufactured since 2016 in what is ground zero for Coronavirus (covid19) in Daegu, Korea. The company will have available samples of the blood of those previously infected available for testing as the company quickly converts its GenUltimate TBG methods and Precise meter, into a precise infectious disease testing device for the screening for Coronavirus."

We are not resting our laurels with our GenViro development. Later product entries will be test methods for Polio, Ebola (Marburg), Bird Flu, and SARS. The cost of our test kits will be sold in a price range of $4.95 to $7.95 per use. The Coronavirus kit will be sold for $6.95. Each kit sold will carry enough diagnostic for two tests, a primary test, and a test in reserve in case of human error in administrating the primary test. We plan to provide our diagnostics initially for use at hospitals, doctors' offices, and clinics. Once production ramps up, we will offer testing kits and meters to patients for testing at-home.
Mr. Berman concluded, "As you might imagine with a product announcement of such importance, we have been contacted by a number of potential partners for our kit, as well as companies who were not chosen last time to proceed past the proposition stage. The company's first choice for partnering will be a company that made "the cut" last time for our GenUltimate! TBG product. We will discuss partnering potential in a coming release. For the moment, the company is content calling on big box and long term care chains through its existing distributors and agents."
DECN also markets its PetSure! test strip for the diabetic testing of dogs and cats, a diagnostic specifically designed to run on the market leding Zoetis Alpha Trak meter system as well as the GenUltimate! 4Pets Test strip and Avantage! meter. The company has also just introduced its GenExpidient! Universal Translator for bio-sensor devices of different manufacture. A GenExpidient! device will be included in every Covid19 kit. Having such a device will lower the incidence of cleaning and disinfecting the GenViro! meter.
