The invention in LLY's Alimta patent that held up in court consists of dosing Alimta with folate and vitamin B12 to reduce toxicity:

Given the common moa between Alimta and methotrexate, and the fact that folate / B12 has long been known to reduce side effects in high dose methotrexate treatment; why is this "invention" not something that would be reasonably obvious to one well trained in the art?

Sometime the patent system amazes me.
