It was an act of irrational desperation, even i did the same stupidity, and checked Kerry's name and then went home and got sick.

Thats not the way I remember it at all. As I recall you were very aware of the problems of Kerry and Dean. You rightly thought about writing in Donald duck instead. At the very last minute you voted for Kerry knowing it was one of few options all of which were a mistake. Earnie was much in the same boat as I recall. He would have voted for Nader had the vote even been close to %5 if I recall right. Myself when I realized that Kerry and Bush were both working together to pull the country farther to the right I seriously thought of voting for Kerry to give the delusional Kerrycrats their messiah. It might have been better than what I see coming. Thats a second term of Bush followed by a facist Democrat who might very easily worse than Bush.

I saw no evidence that Chomsky was behaving in any intelligent way myself. Like the title of his book manufacturing consent. He helped the Bushies ina major way by endorsing Kerry.

Chomsky is spineless and gutless. Intellect alone is not worth the paper it is written on. Democracy has always been a gamble.

fully realized that if Kerry won it would be bad news, but i have a visceral hate for Bush .
How deep my hate? Enough that i get sick of people saying "well he is no Hitler."
And i now respond, that in his own peculiar way, Bush is as evil as Hitler; he is just "folksy" slow mo evil ooozing over america and the world like some slow but nonetheless lethal CANCER.

In Europe some folks argue that the Americans are now behaving worse than the general German populace AT THE START ( notice the word START, I am not refering to what happened at the end of the war. ) of the wars Hitler promoted. Germany was experiencing hyperinflation and economic problems far worse than anything currently going on in America ---now--- . What reason did we Americans have to attack a country that had not attcked us?

Name me one person that could lead a succesful attack via the ballot box, and over throw our present one party system.

A Nader, Ron Paul ticket is the only thing I can think of, but sadly that would take some spine that Americans just dont have.

Let's see how stable the current order is when a severe bear market hits stocks and real estate.
