The added cost to change from raw lumber to Red Shield protected lumber is NOT 1%, it is approximately $1-1.5 PER SQUARE FOOT OF CONSTUCTION FLOOR AREA. If you are a builder, you know what that means. If not, it means that if you build a 1000 sq/ft house at $150.00 per sq/ft, it goes up to $151.50 per sq/ft.

It's not 1%.
