How well funded is Nueva Tech? How many employees do they have? What is their marketing reach in California? Where are their offices? What experience do they have? What do we know about this company except they are less than a month old? The only thing huge about this news it what is not known.

They are licensing it to another company!? This is huge!!

Just the beginning of StudentConnect news on the way in my opinion. ;-)

"The new program is called "StudentConnect," a system being adopted by school districts from Georgia to California." - LOUISIANA - 10/28/2013 http://www.myarklamiss.com/story/student-tracking-tech-coming-to-morehouse-parish/d/story/ZSYY2h5gDkupcLwfhDUIyw

And here's from ARKANSAS - 1/22/2014: "Using technology called Student Connect, busses will have RFID monitoring and GPS. The district is starting with 3 elementary school busses and will expand the program across the district. Only the bus administration will have access to the RFID data, which stops tracking the student once they have left the bus." - http://www.katv.com/story/24522906/benton-school-district-installs-parent-notifications-on-busses

And here's from GEORGIA - 10/18/2013: - "It is one of the greatest ideas I've seen in a long time," said Cooper, the transportation director of the Gordon County School District. " - http://www.cbsatlanta.com/story/23731114/gordon-county-schools-testing-new-student-tracking-system-on-school-buses

In the recent CEO letter from 2/21/14, the CEO stated: "StudentConnect began commercial deployment in 1st quarter 2014. In February, 2014 we deployed StudentConnect on school buses in school districts in Georgia, Arkansas, Kentucky, California, and South Carolina with other schools in Texas, Florida and North Carolina engaging us to implement systems on their school buses. Advertisers are coming on board as expected with strong support from local chambers of commerce. Advertisers in diverse industries from banking to insurance including advertisement agencies are registering on SCAAP to participate. We launched a licensing program for exclusive distributorship that would allow for rapid deployment of StudentConnect in key US markets. We expect our first licensee to be on board by end of February 2014. StudentConnect joined the Verizon Partner Network. Verizon school transportation marketing team will offer StudentConnect to School districts they currently serve and we will use Verizon network exclusively. We will complete conversion and certification of our StudentConnect devices from GPRS to CDMA network by end of the 1st quarter."
