I'm not sure what brokerage platform you are using, but with my USAA, my cost basis has been locked as "OPEN" for the time being. It will not allow me to manually enter the basis either. My bet is that after all distributions and final residual accounting is done, then we will get accurate cost-basis and return numbers. For now, you can simply make your own excel sheet with the previous buy orders as a general idea.
