Olddog, based on your post it appears IDCC in their 10-K told the truth but did not consider it worthwhile to include a mention of their request to cancel the hearing. Not quite the "whole truth".
...and on December 17, 2013, InterDigital filed a reply in support of its petition to confirm the arbitration award. A hearing is scheduled on InterDigital’s petition for April 4, 2014.
Although it looks like the April 4 Apple arbitration confirmation hearing has been canceled, apparently a confirmation order will still be issued. I contacted the judge’s office to confirm that, and received the following reply from the judge's deputy:
“The request to the confirm arbitration reward has not yet been ruled on and is still pending. I do not have a status as to when an order will be issued.”
