actually, its my understanding that that's about the only way that MOST artists DO make money.

brightness: I must disagree. Not many musicians and songwriters can profit by holding concerts. Artists who write and make music...that WE enjoy, should be remunerated. Their work should not be filched. They gotta live too. If they don't, they won't make music...and we'll be listening to Sousa marches, Wagnerian downers and Kate Smith singing "God Bless America."
