rocketman...Excellent point. I know so little about oil drilling that claiming that much is exagerating. But, it seem almost too coincidental the way this seems to be playing out. The (plausible) guesses on the outcome are too numerous to count, yet none seem bad for ERHC Energy.
you know, i had not looked at it from that angle, but makes sense...easier to deal with erhe now with them sitting on 65% than no chance later when %'s have dwindled and, therefore, loss of pooled bbls.
That is a nice take and may explain some of this. Perhaps CVX simply didn't expect to find such an extensive field- but who knows. Either way, ERHE benefits!
I was surprised that it only took about 30 days to drill this well. Initial press releases estimated up to 60 days. This bodes well for future timelines regarding development of this field.
