Strassenheim...I still wonder if you or anyone knows...
Was there a reason CVX chose to drill at the point very near the boundary of Bloks 1 & 2. It seems too coincidental for them to drill there and find oil that just happens to go well into Block 2. Were they considering the possibility when they chose to drill at that place, or were there other factors that led them there?
It's a very strange set of circumstances, IMO.
Another thing to consider...
How long did it take to drill, find oil, test the well, discover the apparant size (HUGE) and discover that it crossed the block lines, get the info to corporate and decide a strategy to deal with it and then go to meet Brandhuber?
Had to be 2-3 weeks?
