dawg-- from the fundamental side, i think that the products that they are selling have a niche that is open. I grew up on a large farm near Valley City, North Dakota, one of their recent sales sites. Many of the northern states have laws that are quite specific and rigorous about shutting off power and restoring it. And i don't mean the crazy aunt that doesn't pay her power bill. It is for rolling outage and ways to control it during times of "life threatening weather events" i.e. temperatures of 20 degrees below zero or less, where interruption of electrical power for more than a few hours can be life threatening for people dependent upon electrical power for heat. Being able to know which homes are critical (from the time of outage information) and the ability to roll and distribute partial outages remotely would help them save tons of linesman time and perform a public safety service that presently is done by hand. Not sure if that information is of any use, and i have no clue of the relationship of the need they are filling to tomorrows share price (LOL) the real life thing i can think of is that during some blizzards, the capacity of the Valley City Power plant on the Sheyenne River is about 10 megawatts, but the demand is in the 20 meg range during subzero temps at night. if a grid line is lost in a blizzard, some tough choices have to be made. and since there are not trees there, few people have woodstoves, etc, and coal stoves have gone the way of fins on Chevys. the tech you are talking about would be welcommed and have application immediately. I would bet that they ought to be sending salesmen to Canada, too.
