Re: I don't think so. Centrino was always understandable to the layperson as *the* way to do wireless in a laptop. Of course, there is more to the platform, but Intel did a remarkable job of selling the mobile aspect of it. When people bought a Centrino machine, they knew (or were at least effectively marketed into thinking) that it was the de facto standard for mobile computing.
Viiv, on the other hand, has many people simply scratching their heads. Everything that Intel claims that Viiv will make possible, people can already do. There is no hook.
