wbmw, all that INTEL provides with their weirdly-named initiative
is nothing new. All the pieces are available in the market today.
INTEL´s moves are again designed to lock out the competition. AMD and their OEMs will simply partner with other companies to deliver exactly the package that OEMs require. They don´t need to let their component supplier dictate the terms to them. It´s all about having the greatest degree of flexibility.

Is Intel going to start buying content now? Subsidizing your cable bill?

If I were a content provider, the only way I'd want to limit my market to VIIV-owners-only is if I was being paid to do so...

I can't think of a faster way for Intel to waste cash than to get into the business of trying to choose what content people want, and paying for it.
