HP has a very nice tablet, selling at Walmart today, with Medfield, for $89. Why wasn't this on the market in 2012? Clovertrail+ launched in the first half of last year, but devices only really started showing in numbers over the last few months. You lament about "yet another CT+ tablet", but Intel could have been more aggressive 6 months earlier.
Ahh, fair enough. You're right. Maybe they weren't as aggressive because they had expected CLT+ to be more competitive than it turned out to be, so they have only recently begun to lower prices on those chips?
Remember, we're talking about what is very likely a 100mm^2 die being sold for maybe $10 tops.
