I don't think so. In phones, it was always about the modem. In tablets, CLT was also pretty darn slow.
I think you missed my point.
HP has a very nice tablet, selling at Walmart today, with Medfield, for $89. Why wasn't this on the market in 2012? Clovertrail+ launched in the first half of last year, but devices only really started showing in numbers over the last few months. You lament about "yet another CT+ tablet", but Intel could have been more aggressive 6 months earlier.
Not to mention that when these products first launched, they were a lot less anemic.
