The 18 month lead was a Sprague comment, I believe, but it was several years ago in a distant galaxy. It also refers to a kind of timeline re: Wave's basic stuff being subsumed into the OS.

The point is not longer the technology lead, but whether the practical and political difficulties of meeting government and private standards to prove your product works seamlessly in these complex environments has to be a HUGE deterent for any company not already working within the TCG...IMO, of course.

I imagine that in 18 months...mid 2007,,,,,we will be dealling regularly with government and beginning to see real movement from our involvements with FiXs, EApartnership, Liberty Alliance, Ala Mode....So what matters is the Metcalfe effect making the Wave Software the Key Management OS for the net. One (root) Key to check them all.
