Agreed, Fear of Success is a rather common and unrecognized problem -- especially among students. Success after all may force you to change your self-concept and few people enjoy doing that.
Money also can change self-concept and some here will soon have to discover that wealth brings new problems as well as new possibilities.
Part of me hopes that their is NOT a ka-boom but a long slow growth that allows people to adjust to changed circumstance...of course, that part of me is NOT my better half -- Mrs. Weby.
For her I want to see the ka-boom on March 10....which I believe was the high point of the market before the collapse -- and is a date with private meaning for us as well.
Was it "anomie" ? --which is lack of connectiveness (that's a term similiar to constructed) to society due to the disruption of the existing social order.
Scorpio...It's been over 40 years since Soc.101...but the one word that comes to mind is "anomie" = "rootlessness". Perhaps for some folks it's an inborn condition...
