What's the point of buying a bunch of Atoms if a Xeon can do the same job for equivalent cost? Xeons stomp the Atom servers on perf/watt.
It seems that people want lower cost CPU options when they don't need Xeon performance. Without ARM forcing the issue, they had no choice but to buy Xeon.
