Intel is actually fine on the cell standards sans CDMA for US carriers when we get to XMM 7260.

Anyone want to comment on LTE standards/CDMA and why Intel doesn't have that and when they might catch up?

well for one thing the LTE standards are still evolving..so if you fall behind..it's tough to catch up. re: CDMA, Infineon came from the old GSM camp (CDMA competitor)..so they probably made a conscious decision at some point not to develop chips for that standard as a "strategic move".
