Anyone want to comment on LTE standards/CDMA and why Intel doesn't have that and when they might catch up?

It seems like part of the problem was Intel's failed bet on WIMAX put them far behind on LTE. Then they bought Infineon's stuff but their IP portfolio still seems to have lots of LTE/CDMA holes. And that is Qualcomms strength more than their CPUS. Will Intel be able to catch up? I think the cpu part is going to be very comptetitve since it is already 64 bits(yeah marketing but hey) which Qualcomm won't have for a bit(I think Aeassa is being a little overly negative on that much like cloverfield+ which is a really decent CPU) but the cell standards seems to be the primary issue. Does this solution at least open up more parts of the world for Intel at least? Just curious...
