Could you explain how that could be the case?

I was thinking somebody holding cvm could sell for a loss....then turn around and buy csciw? 2 separate tickers; how could that be a wash?

I would appreciate any insight; this is my main goal for this year - to "attempt" understand the tax side of the game.
