Warrants. The wash sale rules apply if you sell common stock at a loss and, at the same time, buy warrants for common stock of the same corporation.

You would have to wait 30 days after selling the equity to buy the warrants or the loss is not deductible.
I see someone has set you straight about the wash sale rule I am sure you see the wisdom of it. The only thing I can add is to wait 31DAYS to be sure you don't run afoul of it. The law to my recollection is to wait a full 31 days but I could be wrong.
Even if the tickers are different it's for all intent and purposes the same security. You couldn't sell a SP 500 fund from vanguard and turn around and buy another SP 500 fund from a different firm
