AMD should take the consequence and spend all their money on gcc, which can't be shut down. Of course, that also benefits other CPU companies, but I think AMD stands to benefit from a level playing field.

It would be nice if someone would compile a list of gcc-SPEC scores. c't do some, but they are not complete.

"Intel has been abusing its monopoly status to buy out and shut down compiler companies that support AMD. This isn't a "free ride" issue, its a restraint of trade issue. "

You are making fanatical canards and prevarications.
If Intel did what you said, AMD would have sued immediately, the FTC and DOJ would have been drawn in, etc.
It didn't happen - except in your mind.

Instead of acquiring compiler expertise - as Intel did - AMD chose to pay $50 million for Alchemy - to once again try to compete with Intel in a market where Intel is experiencing huge success.
So face it - AMD made a strategic decision to piss away $50,000,000 instead of bolstering their CPU software.
