#3536 RE: Ecomike #3535

I suppose that will depend on how they handle investor's money going forward, no? Considering the track record? My experience suggests it will go to zero. I haven't seen a cash payout to common stock in a BK for quite a few years, although not too recently, I did participate in a restructuring which did a successful restructuring and made profits after an R/S from 10 cents. They actually had hard assets in the cell tower business.

A new friend of mine just showed me some people who are actually getting oil out of algae using some more primitive methods of dewatering. He didn't seem too optimistic about the public companies or their motivations.

He suggested that equipment costs are so high, it will take millions to get into the business for a startup, and that many investors will want to see the profitable models in action. Do you suppose the public company results would reassure them?
