Technically, red and green aren't sells and buys according to scottrader.
A red means a transaction went through on the bid (meaning a buy or a sell) likewise with Green and ask.
You don't have to buy on the ask or sell on the bid. If you're patient and the stock is somewhat stable (like today for GZFX) you can buy elsewhere if a MM lets you. Hence the transactions outside the bid/ask.
