No, you can't outlaw what someone is, sara. It simply doesn't work. We outlaw murder, and people still become murderers. Rape is illegal. So is incest. They are illegal for good reason, but that doesn't stop people from choosing to disobey the law and commit such crimes.
I take exception to your premise that we should accept these choices of 'lifestyle' as normal. They are not.
