We do not know what Watt will do since we do not know what Obama's economic advisors will advise in the near or distant future on GSE reform.
As previously mentioned, Gene Sperling will soon be gone from the White House as the NEC Director.
He is being replaced by Jeffrey Zients on January 1, 2014.
Gene Sperling has said nothing new or different from the views and suggested options mentioned in the anonymously authored Administration white paper put out in February 2011 and Obama's speech on August 6, 2013 in Phoenix, Arizona. He simply presented a rehash of old views that have not taken into account current realities including pending lawsuits, net zero and net positive, changing public sentiment, design failures of the House and Senate proposed legislation, private capital proposals, etc.
Sperling's views were and are being misconstrued to mislead the uninformed masses to imagine what current administration thinks about todays realities when nothing has been said about that. Just notice that no article gives up the entire speech or names where the speech was given and to whom.
We will have a better idea when Johnson and Crapo come up with their proposed legislation and have a chance to review the content.
