Yes, I know all about the crazy estimates for the sectors of society that are not represented in screening...but even if those numbers are real (which I doubt) , who is going to pay $100K to treat them? Definitely not the VA, which is where the majority of the patients can be found.
Agree on your NHANES comment. The numbers are theoretically there. The two unknowns are: how low will annual treatment starts fall in steady state and will payers shell out that much money per patient for this disease.
