I agree that velocity is valuable and that there are only two players with license to use it, IBM and yippy.

This is very insightful and correct. I have done much dd regarding the companies behind YIPI and that is what I saw. IBM is really focusing on this new technology and it's clear that they see the value in it. And YIPI has a perpetual license. I don't think YIPI can fight off IBM even if they tried; Company will surely be bought. This trial is probably part of an attempt at evaluating YIPI's value. This is a well played game of chess.... I think we will see a fine checkmate either way.
